The conservative play calling on the last drive of regular time just drives me crazy. Just let Baker throw the ball to get a first down.. Bucs beat themselves - they should have won. Hats off to Atlanta and Kirk
What hurts about this loss is that the Bucs absolutely need to win these divisional games because their schedule only gets tougher from here. They got the Ravens, Atl again, Chiefs and then the 49ers coming up

regardless of how bad the defense was... the playcalling on our last offensive drive lost us this game. we had the chance to simply get another first down but decided to run it 3 fk times. 3rd and 25.... i got nothing more to say. BUT that defense was hilarious

Couldn't agree more. KJ Britt in coverage was so hard to watch. Not a well-coached game but I have faith in this squad going forward. So many things went the Falcons' way its almost hard to believe. Offense (and the run game! wow! the Bucs have a run game!) looked great.
Buccaneers had first place in NFC South right in front them and yet they lost that lead after last night game 😂

Jesus that defense was just horrible when you compare it to what the saints did to them the week before. As a saints fan it certainly looks great for us because the Saint defense doesn't give up TDs infact the leagues lowest amount.

The defense fell down - completely. When they lost their second starting safety, there was no stopping Kirk Cousins. Unless they get healthy, they have no hope of stopping many teams. This is going to be a long week and if no one comes back on defense, I don't expect the result to change against the Saints. Not trying to run a true offense that last series and just closing down and running it three times and punting gave the game away. It was terrible play calling at the end of the game. Change that series and they could have won. Giving the ball back was a death sentence.

Why did the o-line jump up IMMEDIATELY at the end of the game with 8 secs & running! All they have to do is get up slightly slower & it's *game over!* A "quick time" to "spike it" is anything under 13 secs once the tackle is made. ATL did it in 7 seconds!!
realistically we're only missing 3 starters on defense. Winfield, dennis and kancey. yes whitehead went out halfway but holy hell man it's the nfl if the second and 3rd string on your team are as bad as kj britt you don't have a shot to EVER stop a team. people should be calling for bowles head.
How do you fans blame coaches when Irving literally fumbled the ball when Bucs could’ve closed it out then. No different than Eagles fans blaming Siriani when Saquan Barkley dropped an easy pass. Bowles was not the reason the game was lost. It was a great game but poor execution by the players with turnovers and penalties

It’s the defensive collapses, lack of adjustments & soft zone coverage. Bucky Irving fumble was bad but David intercepted the ball in basically field goal range. Three straight conservative play calls later & a holding call we punt. many bucs followers including myself believe Todd Bowles influenced those conservative play calls for the Bucs, he coaches scared. Similar to when Cj stroud threw for 400 yards on them last year

I think we beat the Chiefs and lose to the Ravens & 49s . By the end of the season, I think we sweep Carolina & split with ATL & Saints. Win the NFC S with a 10-7 record. If we get & stay healthy, we could make a run.
If we our Defense plays like yesterday AND our offense struggles, we could miss the playoffs & finish 3rd in the South.

Bucs only scored 6 points second half, I would not call that "fine" IMO.
No more tinkering with OT rules, they're already too goofy and gimmicky, this type of score wins but this other type doesn't, and then totally different rules in the playoffs. Leave them as they are or get rid of OT in the regular season and in the playoffs it's just 10 minutes periods until someone wins. Though I suppose if they did this people would complain about how this is unfair because their teams players were exhausted OT.
