Gyakuten Kenji 2 / Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2 OST: • Gyakuten Kenji 2 OST /...
Dai Gyakuten Saiban OST: • The Great Ace Attorney...
Did anyone else get major goosebumps when the 'Trial' music played at the end of the final case, just after Godot said his amazing 'tears' line? Because I sure as hell did
Morgaeus I was starting to cry, if that counts.
When Godot started to cry and also when Iris said Thank you to Phoenix dude... I litteraly dropped every inch of H2O out of my eyes
I cried when phoenix said that he believed dahlia (iris) till the end for case 5 years prior.
I always get the goosebumps when I hear that music. Always...
@@highguardian13 Same, then when I replayed the game I started to hate it because it always makes me remember those hard feelings about Godot and Iris
When you realize that this game's timeline has caught up to the present
Or more accurately, our timeline has caught up with their present
And now their present is one year ago
@@tahamohammad8842 😳
and then we realize game 4 is 5 years ahead of us now
Now Phoenix doesn’t have his badge anymore
There's something so dark about Dahlia's theme
She's a psychopath
@@ancientapparition1638 *sociopath
She became a sociopath due to the neglect from her dad, and also, her freedom. In a sense, she's a sociopathic brat.
It’s as complex as her mind is. She pretends to be a beautiful delicate flower, and uses that as a lure. Once her prey is caught she consumes them from the inside and leaves them to die. The worst part is most of them don’t realize it until it’s too late. Phoenix Wright is proof. If it wasn’t for Mia......
@David Gibson lol earthquake
that theme is really creepy as heck
Such a great OST.
0:00 The "devil's interval" playing on the piano is a brilliant foretelling of the murderer's character.
0:57 This theme manages to make you feel every part of the game's chronology - it's first played during a flashback case, but it works well in the present too.
2:35 The trial theme plays at the start of the first case, and at the end of the last. It gives real feeling to the phrase "the only time a lawyer can cry...is when it's all over."
4:16 The melodic development in the Cross Examination theme is great.
5:50 This was the last time they updated Phoenix's Objection! theme, as if it was only in this game that he truly became a proper lawyer.
7:52 There's a weird similarity between this Telling the Truth theme and that from the first game, which is that they're both written with 5 beats per bar. It would be unlikely that this was coincidental, and yet the two themes don't actually sound melodically similar.
9:44 Surely the best character theme of the original trilogy. You couldn't sum up Dahlia's perceived beauty, and the darkness she hides in her soul, better.
13:30 Not my favourite Pursuit theme, but certainly retains all the drama and action that it should.
15:37 The shade of that bass line sets the tone for The Stolen Turnabout really well.
20:24 Zvarri! Elegant, punchy, and carries the demeanour of suspicion.
23:22 This Detention Center theme is much more melancholic than the others.
26:22 [Godot's theme is my ringtone.] When you first hear it, he's a smooth talking, intelligent man, who you just can't figure out. Coffee and jazz go bloody well together. The saxophone is the side of him that throws a coffee down on the table, and the piano improv is his relationship with Mia. But when you hear Godot's theme for the last time, it sounds more blue - it represents how truly sad his life is.
38:54 This theme throws everything back even further, and makes you feel like you're standing on Dusky Bridge as it's happening.
39:45 The sadness is because you're being reminded of everyone whose lives were destroyed or ended by Dahlia Hawthorne.
41:50 Thus begins the recapitulation of the whole Ace Attorney series up to this point, and that which ties up every loose end.
42:08 The slow tempo is because you're in a spiritual place. The thin texture and soft dynamics is because it's cold and desolate up in those mountains.
43:50 Elise Deauxnim is purposefully made to seem like the most loving, elegant, and gentle character in the game. The charming, warm mood of this theme takes this to another level.
@@ashleyy69 Aha thank you!
This is an excellent analysis. Thank you.
So many new fancy words lol. I thought you would comment on old the songs. I agree with most of what you said except about the pursuit theme cause I love all the pursuit themes!!! Thanks
godot's ringtone is my ringtone
I love this comment! Nicely examined!
I try to listen to this while doing work, but I end up wanting to play the game and I procrastinate.
SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I listen to this while doing work. And I struggle not to reply "TAKE THAT" when I need to attach an email.
Dramatic breakdowns do happen, tough u.u (Dahlia style in my case)
If after 3 years you still have troubles, I just say the trilogy is available on steam.
You just fucking described me right now.
Same here
I just noticed Phoenix's finger is conveniently blocking Mia's cleavage. XD
Anyway, this could be the best Ace Attorney soundtrack to date. So much tension and emotion, and it fits so well with the game.
You just had to ruin in for us.
Lol.
Phoenix knows where your gaze is wandering. "Hold it!"
GOODBYE M RATED GAME
Why is Phoenix facing the way that makes him look like he’s the prosecutor
It's because that material is OBJECTIONable.
4:16 "Questioning ~ Moderato 2004"
This is the best mistery soundtrack in the entire series
nah, allegro is better
hot damn, Questioning ~ Moderato 2004 go hard ngl no cap bruh
You say the truth
9:44 My entire body still tenses up and aches when that theme plays. Seeing how much damage Dahlia did to Phoenix, and how much it still hurt him years later felt like getting stabbed right in the gut by a poison dagger.

There could be a million Ace Attorney games and I would still say that AA:PW has the most perfect soundtrack I have ever heard.

perfect for that special moment when You uncover something mindfucking in front of entire court
love that bassline so fuckIng much

True, I also remember his previous pic

look alive, sunshine. It always gives me goosebumps. It even had a very well suiting name. I don’t remember exactly what it was called but it was called something like “The ______ of the ______”
"The killer was not my client and I have definite proof that not only proves their innocent but also proves that the true killer was actually a ghost!" Firebird Correctamundo
*FIREBIRD CORRECTAMUNDO* IM CRYING
23:22 just makes me so sad. i usually associate it with iris, so that shouldnt really be a surprise, but still
While I love the original game's OST the most I think, I think this one had one of the most thematically strong collections of songs. Ron's Mask deMasque theme and the Dahlia one along with the Fey Clan stuff... it's very thematically appropriate.
3-5 MAJOR SPOILERS
I remember screaming so hard when Phoenix said something about Maya being able to see a man when there was no lights around because I immediately knew what would be coming. Man Godot didn’t deserve this, but it’s such an awesome plot tho. Tho T&T is not my favorite, it shares the title of the 2nd best game I’ve EVER played with AA1, coming right after JFA.
Godot deserved it but Diego didn’t
Honestly Godot threatening Nick with the major penalty wasn't gonna work anyways. Anyone could have figured out at that point on who had "red lights" on their face.

30:17 honestly sounds like a search core theme
If you pay attention all core teams start with somewhat of a little chorus, and this theme starts with that too, but sadly it doesn't have the seriousness a core theme needs, but it fits perfectly as it is, a middle investigation theme.
My 2nd favorite theme of this opus after cornered.
7:52 hands down my favorite..
Still one of the best games I've played in my 24 years of age and i 2019. I've played a lot buy this game is still up there among the best. Legendary case #4.
If you have played the whole trilogy, how would you rank your top 5 fav cases?
@@rigatonipasta 5. Rise from the Ashes
4. Reunion and Turnabout
3. Farewell my turnabout
2. Turnabout Sisters
1. Bridge to the turnabout
@@Leltendo I think mine would be
5. Rise from the Ashes. I personally like to play this one after Bridge as a kind of super long bonus to the trilogy. It just works better that way imo. It's greatly hurt by the lack of psyche locks since it is set before game 2 so the investigations felt really long and tedious.
4. Turnabout Sisters. I watched Kubz Scouts play Ace Attorney and halfway through Sisters I stopped watching and decided to play myself. I got the IOS demo so for me the final trial was against Redd White. It was super intense at the time and had me sweating. Little did I know....
3. Turnabout Goodbyes. Great way to finish the first game. Manfred Von Karma was super intimidating to go against seeing as he objects to *all of your presses.* Still got kind of sidetracked with the whole lake monster subplot and Lotta being useless.
2. Bridge to the Turnabout. I love finales. I love stories where every character comes together at the end for one last battle. Not really much to say tbh. This case is just so good and I was crying by the end.
1. Farewell My Turnabout. The most intense and stressful case ever. I was sweating bullets near the end as I cross examined Shelly de Killer. And since my parents weren't home I got to yell YEAH FUCK YOU at the screen when Matt Engarde clawed his face off. Also when given the choice between guilty or not guilty, I laughed my ass off and said "Not guilty your honor" So great.
the two opening songs really set the tone for this game, they're beautiful yet dark. even for gamers who aren't into this series, trials and tribulations is a must-play game, it's the highlight of the series.
The ending hits so hard.
Godot's theme is just sex in my ears....
um wut
Huh?
@@Oma.internyou heard him
This game's soundtrack has a sort of vastness to it... it makes it ominous, like it really is the end. Does anyone else feel this?
Yes. a lot of mysticism and folky feel to it. Seriousness- for exaample the start of a trial - has BELLs in ti - it means like - now is THE time... A lot of themes have variations to their previously introduced themes - interplaying togrether in different tempos and context- makes a listener feel disoriented, hazy, both excited and depressed... Really like this soundtrack.
It’s a fitting soundtrack for the end of ace attorney. The trilogy is perfect!
Oh shit that one twitter artist
Luke Atmey's theme is just so cool...
I have that violin melody stuck in my head so often
I love the theme, but I hate the character... in fact, I disliked Stolen Turnabout and Turnabout Recipe. Luke Atmey, Mask de Masque, Furio Tigre, that old man, the flamboyant cook... those characters didn't appeal to me at all. Both cases felt like fillers to me. This game is only great because of Memories, Beginnings and Bridge. And Godot, most of all.
@@orlanswf What's wrong with those two cases?
@@AlanJia8 Agreed they're definately the two best filler cases in the OT
@@jazz4778 Unless you count Rise From The Ashes.
Godot music gives me goosebumps.
just finished game 3 and holy shit it was amazing
I know Cornered 2004 is almost the same as the one from 2001, but it still reminds me when i played the last case in the trilogy. Soooo nostalgic
So many amazing songs in this game, it's hard to pick a favourite. There's Pursuit, Original pursuit, I just want love Victor Kudo's war theme, Objection, etc.. One of the big reasons this is my favorite ace attorney game, as well as possibly my favourite game of all time is the music.
Hitting them with the contradiction like 5:50
DEfinitivamente sí es el mejor soundtrack de la franquicia X3
There's something so sensual about Godot's theme.
BRILLIANT
I love these games ❤
Yt was keep recommending me this vid even tho I heard this game's beautiful ost. Toady this video is celebrating its sixth year
Pressing Pursuit - Cornered is my favorite, it charges me
Is that a pun
It Is Indeed the most epic one In this one Ace Attorney.
Since It Is the first Pursuit theme of the series, to finish It all with the original Pursuit, that's gotta be the hypest moment of the game, when all the cards, and all the knowledge gained so far comes to fruition.
Gah, the trial theme is so flippin' good.
The first one gives me such bad anxiety it triggers my fight or flight (my reaction to a murder or something like that)
The ending theme for this game is beautiful, so bittersweet. Why is no-one else talking about it?
Neverending Overture it's just perfect
i only cried once, and that's when it was over
34:07 is such a good song
It fits perfectly with the character of Kudo, who's like this old soldier that respects bushido values.

I recently started playing this game, and I love the soundtrack so far! But is it just me, or are there certain themes missing from the soundtrack? Where's Mask deMasque's hideout theme (where you can talk to Desiree)? What about the Psyche Lock theme, or the one that plays a few times in the third chapter? (sounds VERY MUCH link the part at 32:24 - intense with a lot of bass)
These themes weren't originally from Trials and Tribulations, but from former games, hence why they aren't included! For example, the hideout theme is Congratulations People from the first game's OST! The Psyche Lock theme can be found in the Justice For All OST etc etc

Anyone know whatever happened to Godot? Is he in prison for life??
Probably, but there's always a chance he gets out on probation. Anyways, there's a huge chance we never see him again, since the show creates characters, and then we have to say goodbye to them. It's a very mature way of looking at the world, you just have to learn to live with characters passing through your life, and you won't see them again, but at least you'll have them in your memories.
That's deep.
And a good point.
Not to rain on this explanation, but Pearl, Edgeworth, and especially Maya were clearly brought back as fan favorites for the games to sell better, receiving little to no new development. Overall, they have had little impact on the plots of the newer games. Reviving these characters is the reason why Takumi does not even contribute to the main series anymore. Apollo Justice, the last main series game Takumi worked on tried to "say goodbye" to the trilogy characters by introducing a new cast, but that did not work out because of fans' desires to see their favorite characters more. These newer main series games just throw previously introduced characters into cases with little thought to please fans rather than focusing on developing characters like the trilogy had. Take Klavier Gavin's appearance in Turnabout Academy, for instance. We are hardly saying "goodbye" to many characters.
On the contrary, I definitely do agree that Godot will not be brought back. His return will completely tarnish his character and the effectiveness of the trilogy altogether.
@169Tom
Wow yeah, I've never thought that deeply about the inclusion of old characters. Now that I think about it, I've never been overjoyed to see any of them much in the new games. I've always thought they looked kinda funny. Maya's eyes look hollow and empty in SOJ. Pearl looks ridiculous; you'd think that after 10 years she'd have a different personality. She doesn't seem like any teenager I've ever met; her meekness/shyness doesn't seem real. And of course, the Klavier cameo was obvious fan service. Only Edgeworth I've thought was pretty good (except for in Time Traveler, he was duller than a spoon in that one). And I think Ema is cute in SOJ (at least compared to in AJ).
So I do agree with you that they could have handled the old characters with more finesse in the newer games. But I don't think it's inherently a problem with bringing back old characters, especially if they're main characters. Godot is not a main character, even if I love him to death. But Edgeworth, Maya, Pearl (even Franziska) are main characters that should be brought back. It's just that it wasn't executed well. I love Shu Takumi, but to me, to say it should always be new characters, would be like if you said in Spiderman, Peter Parker should be killed and replaced with a new Spiderman, or Clark Kent replaced with another Superman, or Bruce Wayne replaced with another Batman. ....Uh....
So hopefully I've made my point there. And of course, we have to talk about the last main character everyone is dying to have return: Gumshoe! He is as big a main character as anyone. If the game's creators can bring him back in the right way, then I can forgive the flubs with Maya and Pearl.
So yeah, I agree with most of the cameos so far. There needs to be more character development than just, "Oh, there's pearl showing up out of nowhere, exactly like she was ten years ago." or "Oh, we battle Edgeworth in court again, except now that he's a middle-aged near-sighted fuddy-duddy, it's not nearly as fun anymore." But I do think that bringing back the main characters should be done, and I do have faith, especially if Takumi ever decides to return to the main series, that they can be successful returns of characters.

Where's Desire DeLite's theme?
The theme that played for Desire Delite was reused from the first game, so you'll be able to find her theme in an OST of the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
169Tom
Cornered and its variation was also in the first game (among a few other tracks in this game), yet here it is. Fair is fair.
The Cornered that appears in the Trials and Tribulations is different from that of the original Cornered, thus why it's in this video. The variated Cornered is a variation of the variation, if that makes sense.
If Desire's theme was variated even slightly in this game, it would have been included.
