Lego LOTR was one factor that brought me out of my lego "dark ages". So thankful I got these all at retail price. I agree, we need more figures and sets from this line, including Sauron!
I recently got into the hobby. Thankfully lego is putting out so many sets I don't feel compelled to get ripped off on the discontinued sets on the second hand market (I can get ripped off straight from lego directly with their price hikes)
Last week I got a Merry figure from a classmate for 3 bucks and a cookie, I didn't even know it was that expensive until I saw this video! Great video, would like to see one for Prince of Persia since I also got some figures from that theme as well from my classmate.
Really happy that I got the Battle at the Black Gate set when it came out - now I still have the Aragorn figure fully assembled while the Mouth of Sauron is floating around somewhere
hoping to see some new stuff with the new rings of power show coming out, considering its the most expensive tv series of all time im sure we will see some new sets and maybe even some remakes of older sets
I sure hope so too! Lego hasn’t really ever collaborated with Amazon Prime but since they do business with Netflix and have made LOTR sets under WB in the past, I feel like it should be within the realm of possibility. None have been planned for the first season, but maybe if it does remarkably well Lego will take notice and consider revisiting the theme? One can only hope
I have multiples of each mini fig except the ones from the Tower of Orthanc. I’d never sell them because I had a blast building them and they are a part of my childhood, but it’s cool to see that they’re somewhat valuable
I’m so glad I have all of them…I missed almost all at retail prices, but managed to buy all the sets either used or new on the second hand market around 2015, before the prices skyrocketed! I think that was a good decision!
Super surprised that the king of the dead wasn't on this list. Also if I'm remembering my LoTR/Hobbit lore right, Gloin is related to Gimli somehow so that is probably why the demand for Gloin minifigures is higher than the other dwarves.
I remember looking at my Legos to see which minifigs I wanted, and saw the price of the Blue Coat Bilbo, and was worried it was some of my stuff I'd gotten rid of when I was younger. But thankfully found it! Glad I was a big Lego kid, and fan of Unexpected Journey, to be able to get my parents to go get that specific DVD lol
If I were to tell you they brought out an AMAZING Rivendell set, AND a still yet to release fascinating barad dûr set, and showed you how they’d look, you’d call me a fool
Loved this one, I’m hoping for a part 2 to the Ninjago version. I feel like a top 20 would be a great list, since it’d throw in so many more minifigures. Anyways, keep up the great work!
I really hope Lego makes some new sets, however it's pretty unlikely that it will be based on the Rings of Power as it is rated TV-MA, and Lego never does sets for adult shows/movies, however I think that they might revisit the old books/movies and make sets from those to tie in with the new show while there's a lot of LOTR hype!
I have heaps of LOTR and Hobbit duplicates but only one of Dain, Gloin and Oin from the dwarves. That barrel escape set is hard to find on the second hand market from my experience. All the other dwarves are easy to find at a reasonable price.
I bought a good deal of the sets when they were released, and I was so surprised that Sam only comes with one set, and so does merry and I believe pippin.
Once upon a time, I had the Weathertop set, bought when I went to Italy, it was a gift actually, and I do believe I got one ringwraith and some of the Hobbits somewhere
this is one of the Lego Themes that i made a considerable effort to own all the sets. But there is no way i'd part with any of these minifigs! They are my precious!!
Oh hey I actually have some of these! Merry and the Mouth of Sauron, and I must have the Aragorn one too in that case. Man, the fun times my sister and I had with these guys...
OK, I’m from the future as you’re watching this video and we do get another Lord of the rings wave we get an even bigger battle of Heldeep and we get a model of the classic line you shall not pass. We also get a model with Frodo and Sam mount doom, we get the eye of Sauron and none of those are rare anymore. They’re like five bucks and I am in 2035.
Nice video thank you. I only own the 2 hobbits from the first trilogy in this list. I wish I was more into lego in 2012-2014 I would have buy all the sets lol.
I have every set but the Orc forge and Saruman’s Tower. I have all other figures though! Except for the 1st one. I hope they bring back this theme! Barad-Dur and a Balrog are far past their due!
I bought a lot of these sets 10 years ago. I've got the mouth of Sauron, Sam, Frodo, Bilbo. The King Theo. I've got a few not on the list. I've got an Eagle. So Helms Deep is one of my favorites.
I wish so bad that I got some of those sets, unfortunately I didn't but I definitely will be trying to get every set if it makes a return with Rings Of Power, watched 2 episodes already and I can see myself hooked. I would want original LOTR and Hobbit characters though
if they bring back middle earth sets i would actually be excited despite being tired of lego licensed themes. honestly i wish middle earth would just replace harry potter because harry potter is overdone
What box is Dane from ???? I didn t know he actually existed in LEGO and I m a huge fan of the licence Oo I hope LEGO will make some products with these 2 licences.
I got the black gate specifically for the Aragorn in coronation clothes, while the Aragorn and Mouth of Sauron are cool, I gotta say that the Gandalf is one of the worst minifigs I own. The cape is from garbage material compared to Aragorn's or the King of the dead's dual cape, somehow stiffer and more fragile than Galadriel's special shiny cape. His headpiece is a disaster, it's a stiff rubber that combined with the rigid cape makes a very unconvincing look. He also doesn't come with a sword and his staff is just a white stop ring bar. What a joke. Aragorn is great though! I wish I got another set for a second copy and to display 2 mirrored black gates.
If Lego is going to pay for the license it would be a smarter business decision to base the sets off of LOTR and The Hobbit instead of Rings of Power. Rings of Power isn't cannon and you need Prime to view it. Tolkien's books have a much broader appeal.
Lego should have made more lord of the rings sets. I would still love to see a lego minis tirith and barad dur set. Also a larger better version of the black gate. Also lego would sell the fuck out of battle packs. A urukai pack, a Rohan pack,a gondor pack,a mordor orcs pack. And even a elf battle pack.
I have all that figures except the blue Bilbo and I have much more unofficial which are better than the Lego's one ... Like Gondorians, elves and dwarves from the hobbit, Dol Amroth army, Rohirims, etc ... I don't understand why real Legos are so expensive!
Lego LOTR was one factor that brought me out of my lego "dark ages". So thankful I got these all at retail price. I agree, we need more figures and sets from this line, including Sauron!

why does everyone use this term "lego dark ages"
Well do I have news for you!
there is a sauron minifigue in the newest LOTR set!
I would imagine gloin is desired due to him being Gimlis dad and he sort of appeared in lord of the rings.
@@squall2590 what 💀
Это я явно не из-за этого
Lego LOTR is by far the greatest LEGO theme of all time. Hopefully they bring it back soon.
Dude what, they did bring it back are you stupid
It was great but didn't last long enough.
Last week I got a Merry figure from a classmate for 3 bucks and a cookie, I didn't even know it was that expensive until I saw this video!

@@DuckBricks there's an lord of the rings anime
You were half right! 😂 doesn't look like we will get any rings of power sets but good to see them releasing sets from the films
I have multiples of each mini fig except the ones from the Tower of Orthanc. I’d never sell them because I had a blast building them and they are a part of my childhood, but it’s cool to see that they’re somewhat valuable

This has to be the greatest video you ever made, thank you duck bricks! I would also love to see some Prince of Persia vids !
I had no idea we almost got a sauron minifigure for dimensions. Dang it
This guys minifigure collection is every mans dream
Super surprised that the king of the dead wasn't on this list.
Also if I'm remembering my LoTR/Hobbit lore right, Gloin is related to Gimli somehow so that is probably why the demand for Gloin minifigures is higher than the other dwarves.
Gloin is Gimli’s dad, I would really appreciate a return to LOTR cause I was not into LEGO during that run.
Saruman head perfect for count dooku and body for senator
Can someone explain to me how you get a "new" mini figure of a retired set?
I own all of these (plus every other LOTR/Hobbit minifigure) except for the darn Blue coat Bilbo. Rip
I actually have the expensive bilbo, I have no idea why, don't even have that DVD. I'm definitely not complaining
my favorite lego lort rankings

No, it's rated TV-14.
Gloin is Gimli's dad - might be contributing to the rise in value?
I just looked up that Theoden on Bricklink and he isn’t supposed to have that red cape! It’s for Haldir, not Theoden! Great video nonetheless!
One of the best Lego themes
I'm hoping they make new LOTR sets mostly because all the sets they previously released have quality issues with the plastic.
I thought the Necromancer would be on the list as he is Sauron without his armor
Oh, and the Aragorn with the two toned cape. I haven't pulled them out of the box in a couple of years. Had to check on what I had thanks to your vid.
Theoden doesn't wear a cape
And not this kind of sword... Not very accurate!!!!,😁
I’m happy I got most of the lotr and hobbit sets back when I was in high school missing a few sets but got the big ones awesome video!
Theses themes NEED to return!!
Hi duck bricks. Quick question about king theoden how come none for sale online include his cape?
that quill piece was also used in that color on that girl from Pirates of the Caribbean, on stranger tides
I read "the Hobbit" acouple of months ago and I owned some sets when I was really young. I wish I still had them.
Pippin from one of the four hobbit in LOTR set is by far the most expensive minifigures i have ever bought for $30, it's insane.
I'm shocked how expensive these are now. I'm glad I managed to get all of them except Dain
@duckbricks did you get most of the sets in your collection during their retail window or after the discontinuation of sets?
Once upon a time, I had the Weathertop set, bought when I went to Italy, it was a gift actually, and I do believe I got one ringwraith and some of the Hobbits somewhere
I think the Barrel Escape dwarfs sell for more because that set was a Lego Store exclusive.
this is one of the Lego Themes that i made a considerable effort to own all the sets. But there is no way i'd part with any of these minifigs! They are my precious!!
I managed to get theoden and the mouth of sauron in a used set of lotr figures for only 30 quid. Best steal i ever got!
i love your videos! you always sound so excited to share your extensive knowledge, and i love learning more about legos :)
Thanks for watching!!
i have all the Lord of the rings sets except the Orthank and the pirate ship from Umbar
Dain helmet is probably the best offical LEGO helmet ever created
Possibly another factor of the price of the bilbo figure is that he only wears the coat in a deleted scene
Oh hey I actually have some of these! Merry and the Mouth of Sauron, and I must have the Aragorn one too in that case. Man, the fun times my sister and I had with these guys...

I’d love a pirates of the Caribbean video like this
I have every set but the Orc forge and Saruman’s Tower. I have all other figures though! Except for the 1st one. I hope they bring back this theme! Barad-Dur and a Balrog are far past their due!
this is the video i have been waiting on
Sweet! Enjoy!

Thanks for a good video I enjoyed it
Gloin is expensive because the set he came with was exclusive to Toys'R Us and therefore harder to come by. Also, he is Gimli's dad.
That makes a lot of sense!
Another great lego video
what about SDCC Azog?
if they bring back middle earth sets i would actually be excited despite being tired of lego licensed themes. honestly i wish middle earth would just replace harry potter because harry potter is overdone
best lego youtuber
Surprised Galadriel wasn't here.
Radagast plum in dark tan is also on the Angelica minifig from queen annes revenge;)
Turns out I have most of these, including the number 1 spot somehow, if I ever sell these I’m gonna be a very rich man
I have every Lord of the rings set except the orc forge. However I did not get every hobbit set but I have 3 of those too.
its funny, i have the cheaper sauramen, but i'm almost certain i have the robe piece despite never owning the more expensive version.
I'm lucky enough to own Dain and Theoden. I'll probably sell Dain at some point to help me buy a uruk hai army set to pair with Helm's deep.
I hope these all come back with the LOTR revival 😂
What box is Dane from ???? I didn t know he actually existed in LEGO and I m a huge fan of the licence Oo
I hope LEGO will make some products with these 2 licences.
Pirates of the Caribbean next!!!!
King Thoden doesn't have a cape. You took it off from Haldir.
Chapter titles are wrong. You heard of Dain Ironfoot or Merry?
you forgot about azog, he costs 60 bucks used and 80 bucks new
5 months later, your wishes were answered with Rivendell announced!
Indeed!!
Can you do lego ninjago minifig tour 🙂?
I got the black gate specifically for the Aragorn in coronation clothes, while the Aragorn and Mouth of Sauron are cool, I gotta say that the Gandalf is one of the worst minifigs I own. WHY DIDNT YOU INCLUDE RHE SDCC HOBBIT MINI FIG BARD THE BOWMAN
Damn, I had #7 but lost most of the parts
I have every single lord of the rings set accept for the making of the Uruk-hai
The fact he said glowing instead of Gloin
Interesting i thought mayor of lake town would have made top ten
I think the king of the dead figure is super underrated
I agree! Was such a cool figure back in 2013
I have the blilbo still in the package
if mom said ,,yes'' i would had saruman
Gloin is Gimli's father...nuf said
i got like 8 of these cuz i bought almost every set, thinking abt selling them
I love the lord of the rings music!💯
I have 2 of the Bilbo 🗿. I got one for 40 and I have one from my childhood.
thats a nice camera
Congrats on the Lego masters win
If Lego is going to pay for the license it would be a smarter business decision to base the sets off of LOTR and The Hobbit instead of Rings of Power. Rings of Power isn't cannon and you need Prime to view it. Tolkien's books have a much broader appeal.
I'm surprised Azog was 1
i had almost every one. my friend had the tower. boy was i jelly
My “friend” stole my theodin armour
I don’t remember king theodon coming with a cape
He didn't and the sword is unofficial!
probably Gloin have a good price because he is Gimli's father
Please do this for Star Wars!
I have all of them except Grima. He isnt a good figure in my opinion especially since the only detail is on the torso and head.
I have all that figures except the blue Bilbo and I have much more unofficial which are better than the Lego's one ... Like Gondorians, elves and dwarves from the hobbit, Dol Amroth army, Rohirims, etc ...
