Nothing wrong with using old track, I don't buy anything else. Even it has some ballas on it, trackage is expensive enough as it is. I still love these little Kato sets, bought three of the electric versions last at a fair where the shop owner was retiring. At discount prices less than 32 each, I can barely buy a decent replacement motor for that so I just couldn't resist 😄
Nice idea. it's around an A2 sheet size, a little bit narrower and a little bit longer if you want to visualize the thing. I use paper sizes because as an office clerk, that's my best reference point for surfaces.
I believe there is a narrower option for the trams, but not sure you would get loco and Wagons round it. This is already a third smaller than 1st radius
@@BudgetModelRailways seen that very clever. Doing a suitcase for my dad he can't get up to the loft so this I thought be easier for him especially storage aswell
Nice especially the seagulls sound effects in the background makes it sound we are by the sea side as you you say in the 🇬🇧 cheers from your kiwi mate
The weathering on the trucks looks great 👍
Thanks for the video Mike, always great too see what you can get in such a small place. The Kato track pre ballasted is very helpful!!😎🚂🚃🚃🇬🇧
Thanks for the shout out. Nice to see use and reuse of items. BMR philosophy at its best. 😊
Thanks for the support. Doug used your track to run a layout round his University flat!

Thanks

Hello, another layout in progress, can't wait to see the videos on this one.
Like it......lots of ideas for something like this....split scenes perhaps?
Nice that Mike,is that the narrowest you can make a loop using Kato ? As I am toying with the idea of a small Kato layout above my OO layout.

Cheers for the kind reply Mike 😊👍

How long did it take to shoot and edit this video?
A did a couple of takes so about ten minutes to film. I don't have the ability to edit so no editing time
What do you use for a table
It's a bit of old furniture top
Stick it in a suitcase that's what I'm doing at the minute
It's a bit over done for me, I have my two part one that fits in my motorcycle top box for transporting
