I had a chance to test ride but i didn't. And the price point is too much, for the same price i think you can get the new bmw s1000rr or some other sports bike. Eagerly waiting for the Harley bronx, hope the pricing for that will be right.
I demo rode this bike for 5 hours and fell in love with it, I rode almost every bike like it and ended up buying one, I know I could have spent a lot less money but I just wanted something new and different and I’m not disappointed at all
I am totally obsessed with this bike, literally the bike that sparked my firey love for motorcycles. I want it so bad, but I'm gonna have to live with my Rebel 500 for a little while longer
Definitely different engine than the scout. Has some similar parts but lot of magnesium bits, Higher reving. Lighter. So jealous i want to test ride one soooo bad !
I was actually super stoked for this bike to come out, after Indian had been promoing it with all those FTR track bikes. Then this is what we got and I was legitimately upset at how different it looked. For me it was between one of those new Harley Softails or the FTR 1200, and when the 1200 came out I dropped that consideration immediately. It looks like a ducati monster with a smaller tank. I was not happy. 11months the advertised this bike with that super sweet and slick looking FTR custom, and then this came out. I totally get the trackbike was gonna need like, a rear fender and lights and what not. I get that, no biggie there. But they didn't even come close replicating their trackbike except for tank. It was a bait and switch that man, if harley had done such a thing, they'd still be getting shit for it 30 years from now. And then you want the colors to match? It's 16K. And then I saw the accessory prices and i was like "WOAH DUDE, HELL NO." Im sure it's a good bike, but if I wanted a naked, there's better Japanese bikes that cream this thing, and it doesn't look like their FTR tracker bike. I was disappointed to say the least. I was pumped for this bike when it got announced and teased for 11months. I was not happy with the end result at all. EDIT: Also I sent you a message on facebook, since there's no way for me to do it on a PC or via youtube.
Was wondering just yesterday when you were gonna drop another demo ride since it's winter time and VOILA! I dig the retro look but I'd rather go after that XSR you got on hand instead!🤙🏼
Rode one last summer and loved everything about it. Can do alot of things well. Styling is kick ass and nothing really out there like it. Has plenty of power. Is it a Hyper naked? No but that's not the intention. U can ride it all day, Wheelies easy. Great slow turning radius, some off road capability, ride for hours comfortably and looks great. My only complaint is it's a lil on the expensive side but great first effort sport style bike for Indian. And the TFT square dash doesnt fit the styling. The base model has a nicer analog guage. Engine power similar to a Vrod but in a better handling taller 70lb lighter bike. And that coming from someone who owned liter bikes for over 15 years. Currently own Buell Xb12s, EBR 1190sx(Beast), turbo Vrod And 88inch sportster and a few other v twin projects. Might pull the trigger on one of these Indians this summer. BTW keep up the good work in the videos! Nice to see someone actually wheelieing and ripping on these bikes like they are supposed to be. The amount of motovlogger hockey puck clueless squid DORKS is getting out of god damn control on youtube. This page is refreshing.
I kinda like the look of it. Sound seemed OK but msrp $19000+ and then the damn dealer added fees, no thanks. I'd rather wait a year or 2 or 3 and buy it used from a private party, but still Japanese are probably more bang for less bucks. Also for a naked sport bike over a liter I want it to rev higher and have more Torque and HP.
I test rode this and the scout 100th the other day, my only bike right now is my 16 dyna street bob, never ridden a bike with that much power, rolled on in 3 gear going 30, I was at 90 in about 3 seconds
I swear audio is the most challenging part of this whole youtube thing. Lol. I've gone through about a dozen lapel mics and different adapters. I'll find the right combo eventually. Lol. I appreciate the support despite the poor audio. 🤘😎
@@JonsMotoGarage Just a tip Jon, if you're in a situation where your audio is single sided, just render the Video with Mono audio. Totally true! Theres a dude I follow on ig who has one and stunts it. The cool thing is you can do stoppies with these bikes. Well, if you get it in the hands of the right person. Lol. My stoppies haven't gotten past the grom. Hahaha!
How tall are you (inseam)? I got on it, but it was too tall for me. I only got 29". The difference between standard mode and sport mode on any of them is they effectively put an cam on the throttle cable so a slight turn of the throttle takes up a lot of cable. Of course it's done with electronics, but it's the same principal. You can do the same thing by simply leaving it in standard mode and twisting the throttle harder. Then you don't have to lose the ability to modulate the throttle in lower speed situations.
@@UnrulyRider I think LSABS is silly too. Anyone who would jam on the brakes while healed over deserves to take a belly slide. Good info on them linking the wheelie kill to standard mode though.
@@UnrulyRider ABS only works when you brake hard enough to lock the wheel. It activates a little motor that pumps the brakes allowing the tire to try to grab traction. If you run a corner too fast on gravel and dust, you're going to fall down even if you don't touch the brakes.
@@UnrulyRider Yeah, the TC will cut the throttle if the rear end is spinning. I used to leave it on on my Versys when riding off road. I figured it couldn't do much harm keeping the rear end in check. The only time I really noticed it was going up hills. When it was slick, it would bog the engine a little. The ABS OTOH was a disaster off road. I pulled the fuse when I did that. Going down slippery hills, the ABS would essentially turn the brakes off. That'll get your attention right now. I think the IMU would come in handy for racers and people getting their pictures taken going around corners on liter bikes. Spinning up the rear while healed over is the most common wreck I see on UA-cam. It's gotten to the point of silliness now though. It even came on my Road King.
