a world record was done by 2 15's and only 15000 watts, danny hays with 2 dd z15's on 2 db drive 7500's. a 181.4 to be exact. big example of the tuning, steve meade has 4 times the subs in the escalade and twice the watts and it hits 160. 21 db's between them with the winner of the 2 w/ half the equipment, thats why danny hays will be remembered in usaci and iasca because he is breaking records.
@bottomfeeder73 what you talking about that is how it has been for over 20+ yrs. people are out to break records not get laughed at, going to a lower hz means you need to be rich to hit a high number, look at meade for example you will never see his name in the record books or even place at a world finals.higher hz means more dbs, when they rate sensitivity on a sub at 1 watt, its at about 60-80 hz tone. not 30. they are useless if below 50 hz.
@Graph1cz no i believe thats on the dash or the kick, higher frequency will give you a higher number.go to a comp, and you will see the professionals burp at about 60-80 hz.a lot of people today cant hit a high number cause they tune there shit way too low for comp, tune 30's for everyday listening, tune high for competitions. thats why you wont see steve meade, steve mick or a lot of them guys be remembered in usaci or iasca, they cant place, danny hays, scott owens etc will be remembered.
