I glad you teach using the bottom of the steering wheel. That is what my (new) instructor teaches. I feel like I have more control of the steering that way. With the hand over hand method, I had a tendency to cross my arms by mistake.
I'm so glad to hear that you found the video helpful! Thank you for your kind words. Remember, practice makes perfect, so keep practicing your steering and speed control. Safe driving! 🚗💨
Thank you Jacqueline, next Wednesday Oct 16 I'll start my class lesson of driving. I'm 40 and I didn't drive. I hope everything will be good for me even if I'm a little bit nervous.☺
You have explained very well people usually think that they have to put their whole foot over the break and use all of their pressure to press down on the break, but that's incorrect. Your method makes it easier to pivot between the two pedals which is correct otherwise it will become messy as your foot keeps on jumping from pedal to pedal and hence in an emergency you cannot react in a split second!
I would like just to thank you Jacqueline, I passed my driving test Yesterday. Your vidéos are so helpful and eqpecially you' re such a patient teacher 😘
Really great tips!! I watched this video a few days before my driving test, and I passed! Your advice was incredibly helpful and highly recommend this to anyone preparing for their test! You got this!! 💓
What a great instructor! Calmed, knowledgeable, always sharing easy to understand tips, and instructions. So glad I found your channel. Thank you for the time you take to prepare these amazing instructional videos for us.
This lady is the greatest driving instructor I know so far. With her I understand and achieve successfully every single detail. Thank you so much miss ❤

Hi, Jacqueline! Thank you so much for these videos. You are the kind of instructor I wish I had, but now I get to experience a positive driving lesson experience through your videos! 😃 Thank you for being so bright, positive, knowledgeable, calm, kind and encouraging! I look forward to these videos and using the skills in practice!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that you're finding the videos helpful and that you appreciate the teaching style. Thank you so much Jackie for teaching a new driver like me a new technique and easy for me or for those new drivers out there ❤ your awesome teacher I learned so much watching your videos ❤ hope more drivers learning to watch 🎉 thanks Jackie 💞 your awesome and cool 😎
Thank you so much for sharing these fundamental skills. I really learned a lot. Now i can practice what you taught. More power and God bless. I was just starting to drive again after 2 years.
For some reason I find this technique therapeutic. Maybe because I am really just frustrated because I got a very bad instructor (not really wanted to call him that though). It seems I only rented his car since he never actually taught something (even the parts of the car). He just let me drive in the first day since I got a little knowledge through UA-cam. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
When you're placing your thumbs on the steering wheel, it's called the push-pull. I watched the other video when it showed me how to steer. It can use your hands to make a smooth turn one at a time. 1:09
This is amazing content. I was wondering if you could do a video on the same topic but for highway and high speed driving situations. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for your feedback! ❤ Actually, we already have some highway driving tutorials, maybe you will find them helpful too! *Highway Driving Tips: How to Pass Trucks Like a Pro* - ua-cam.com/video/zOWTB16ljF4/v-deo.html *How to Drive on the Highway | Entering and Exiting Tips* - ua-cam.com/video/sEJQltBeaAI/v-deo.html *Mastering Freeway Merging: A Comprehensive Guide* - ua-cam.com/video/nqCGJcG1d30/v-deo.html *Driving on the Freeway After Rain - How to Stay Safe* - ua-cam.com/video/xfcSReoSob0/v-deo.html
Wonderful video! I would like to know how the steering should be for tighter turns or U-turn or all the way to the right or to the left while parking, and in the case if you need to turn faster. Are there any cases where hand over hand works better?
I passed my permit exam on the first try!!! Thanks to you guys for providing sooooo much study guides!!! The only downside news I have is I didn’t pass my vision test. I did good reading from both eyes, and my left eye. My right eye I couldn’t see very well. I wear glasses, so I need to get an eye exam and probably some new glasses. I think I know what would the outcome be is probably night driving won’t be the best for me. But other than that, I’m happy I passed, now I just have to focus on practice driving and get ready for the driving test! 🪪🚘
Congratulations on passing your permit exam! That's a great achievement. It's a good plan to get an eye exam and new glasses to ensure your vision is optimal for driving. Keep up the practice, and you'll do great on the driving test! 🚗🎉
I really appreciate the way you help us understand driving, but the camera position could be improved. It doesn't allow us to clearly see the hood and windshield from inside the car, like the view a driver would have, especially when trying to keep in my lane. Thank you for your effort and hard work!
This is fine for slow speed and shallow turns, but I notice you still use the hand over hand method in your latest videos, or I should say a combination of both methods. I believe the most important thing is to allow the steering wheel to self center as the car straightens, sliding through your fingers, or letting your fingers just follow the wheel as it self centers, always being ready to take control. I say whatever feels most natural for the situation, not just copying what race car drivers to, is probably the best approach. There is an instructor in England who only recommends the bottom of the wheel method, and he recommends you keep you hands firmly on the wheel and steer the car back straight ahead, not allowing the steering wheel to self center. These students have a heck of a time, constantly under and over steering and over correcting. They look like they are drunk, swerving around. I believe that is very bad advice. He also recommends putting the parking brake on at intersections, which is ridiculous. He's pretty good about scanning and using turn signals though.
I have my test tomorrow and I’m a little nervous but your teaching is helping me so much my turns have been so much better 🫶🫶🫶 I will update you guys and let you know if I passed 🥹🥹

i have an issue in understanding lots of steering like lots of 360 turns
Yes but as a newbie i need my foot always at the break pedal,,maybe if im better i can do that position ❤
Thanks❤

This shot crazy
Question. While turning, do I take my foot off both pedals while maintaining good speed?

Looks more controlled for sure. Is this method of steering allowed during road tests though?
I'm still on the fence on this. tried both, but for tight turn always resort to the hand over steering style.
Thank you for sharing your awesome shoes. You must be a groovy mom deep down !
