Yeah it’s all about the web. Your creating bottlenecks as a civil engineer think about it like roads and you need to create roundabouts between the different places with multiple routes but loops are strong
The Key Is upgrading planes and routes, and building other routes. If an airport is full, it's gonna fill again, and you lose all your money into delaying another airport crisis.
Exactly! Upgrading airports only adds buffer, it doesn't help sustainably improve the situation. Upgrading planes and adding new routes is the best way to stabilize the situation because people actually get transported.
Matt upgrading airports is like when you have a reservoir with 10l/s input and 8l/s output and he tries to solve it by increasing the reservoir size not the output pipe size
it isnt tho, as whilst an average/minute might be 5pass/s in and 6pass/s out, the passengers are taken in groups no continously. so it is possible to having a higher outflow but it is possible the passengers could excede capacity before moved
11:38 having multiple planes is more useful if they come in different time instead of following each other step by step. Your upgrade made their speeds equal so it's effectively a one big expensive plane
Red/full planes are the most cost efficient. You want red planes. However you don't want red airports. If an airport stays reddish after all departures then you want to upgrade your planes or increase departure frequency by adding more planes to a heavily traveled route.
Longer single leg routes do give more money. You only get paid based on the length of the final leg. Avoid making chains like you did. Always always always upgrade planes and add planes before upgrading airports. Upgrading airports just delays you losing. The only exception is when the largest airplane is bigger than the airport. You’re constantly delaying crises, rather than looking at where people wanting to go and planning strong resilience/load on those routes. You start off meaning to, but it’s not just long distances that require extra load in terms of planes, it’s also ‘popular’ trips. So you end up with long, inefficient chains that have people waiting at five, six airports for connections which overloads them. Depending on your strategy, multiple planes per line can make sense. I personally like to avoid international connections that aren't capital to capital, this allows me greater control over which airports do and don't get crowded. adding more connections to the same airport is how you bottleneck all your passengers in one spot. and making the waiting hall bigger doesn't actually mean they can fly out faster than in now.

Day 9 of asking RCE to play Planet Crafter again
I'm from Katowice and it was funny listening to you pronounce it
adding more connections to the same airport is how you bottleneck all your passengers in one spot. and making the waiting hall bigger doesn't actually mean they can fly out faster than in now.
Rce, in trailmakers they have added a hard hat skin in the new dlc, you should play it!
I live like 20 minutes by train from Katowice
And I'm there at least once a week
And it's spelled like:
"Cat-ov-itze - Catovitze" in Polish
And I love the way Matt is struggling to read Katowice XDD
I will never understand how people look at the name "Kyiv" and think "Ah yes, keev". Even to English speakers, "keev" doesn't make sense. The letter Y is never silent when it's followed by a vowel, it's always pronounced.
7:10 CAT O VICE so CATOVICE thats the closest words that could sound super similar
Prefect clip was thinking of this before it appeared
Gotta route those trans-atlantic flights thru Reykjavik
Coming from Sweden myself and hearing the prnounces is just fun😂
