Long time viewer - any updates re solar CMEs this evening?
@@Cornnugget4 yeah, i am curious too..
Please take a few minutes to read the government grants regarding climate change and then you will see why scientists are paid to promote climate change. There's multiple sites, scientists and respected professionals which have been whistleblowers about NOAA and climate paid scientists manipulating data.
The Collapse of Civilization happen before summer.

I as raised by my great grandma. Born in 1899, she lived thru the depression thus living a hard and frugal life. I was taught how to stretch food and repurpose things. Looking at the world today, the way I was raised is a blessing today.
I got a lot of information and ideas from the Great Depression cooking with Clara - fact I watched all her videos- very sweet lady.
Would you have any tips that stand out to you that you would be willing to share?
@@justbeingme8819 I haven't seen them all, but I did enjoy the ones i've watched. She was a sweet soul.
I learned to can from my grandmother, a skill I still Use today. Also to make lye soap, though I hope to never have to use it😂
@@justbeingme8819
People like OP won't share any tips. All they can do, is judge about the world today. Not provide tips/solutions😂they are part of the problem
Same.
I always love how rational you are about issues. No scare tactics, just knowledge.
This ❤
I was about to say same. I really appreciate what and how he presents info.
Thank you so much for all the time you invest to inform us! You rock! 💜💜
Me too! He's the best!
Same!! He doesn't try to hype things up and act foolish.
Thank you, greetings from Argentina. We had+100 %inflation last year and its high this year too. We did not die, but we reduce amount of meat, milk and entertainment. You will survive. Thank you.
God bless! Stay strong! I hope you're able to garden.
As an elder prepper, I encourage your senior audience to take these precautions seriously. Best regards and thank you.
I grew up on a dairy farm, drrank raw milk every day. I'm now 89, still alive, still mentally sharp, still happily married. Thank you Jesus.
Amen, You are truly blessed.
Yep, been drinking raw milk from a farm that sells it nearby legally. Beautiful stuff
Love raw milk, best milk out there. Every state should allow people to choose. Make them sign a waiver with the dairy farmer acknowledging risks and benefits. Unfortunately the government seem unable to allow people choice, they want to decide for US citizens.
Hello, Just wondering did you get a lot of vaccines when you were an infant and child? I feel like the pediatricians are pushing a lot of vaccines for my baby.
@@brianna0975 Natural immunity, got sick.
I’ve taken a break from prepper channels lately, your delivery of news updates is exactly what I needed to get back into it.
Yep, all of the other ones use scare tactics to get people to subscribe. I've unsubscribed those
Yup, I only follow a couple of prepper channels at this point: a couple of friends, but otherwise, I can't handle the constant drip of fear, doom, and gloom. Glad you enjoy the content!
@CityPrepping you and Bear Independent are the only two that made the cut. A decade into it, I've seen them all and purged all but 2. Keep doing what you do, Sir!
I cut out most of the doomers.
@CityPrepping who do you recommend? Thank you for what you intelligently share with us.
I've been so distracted from prepping for a few months now since my 94-year-old mother is needing more care. That, along with working and other responsibilities, has taken me off the path. I'm back on it, starting today. I replenished some of my prep food with a Walmart run. Thanks, Kris, for your constant encouragement.
Thanks for the good info, without yelling or attacking. Breath of fresh air.
Kris, your level of care to not stir people up but retain a high level of decorum is much to be applauded. It’s a core slice of your brand at this point which brings people together in a positive way. 🎉 👏
I 100% agree
Could not have said it better! Thank you!
Your rationality and steady tone is calming for me and it helps me getting more prep ready instead of pinning me down in fear.
I prep like I'm in my 20's even though I'm muck older. I figure that I arrived in the game late in life but, I am teaching my older children how to can, freeze dry, garden etc.

The young learn 😂 from the old.

We've been house/ land hunting for the last 2 years with no luck. Working on as many skills as we can until we can move!
Just keep feeling stuck... but God will work everything out😊
I pray Yahweh moves in your life and on your behalf! May He lead and guide you in the wonderful name of Yeshua!
May I ask without much info..where are you looking for land?
If you were ever to have a strictly news channel, you would be the most watched and valued. You are so well spoken and informed and it is obvious that you do tons of research before speaking on any issue. I always look forward to your news segments as well as general prepping videos.
Amen to that!!
Thank you for all the information. You provide more info than 2 of my other videos that I watch .
I totally agree 💯!!
as a nurse, the cyberattacks point out a problem with the electronic health record. I can't hand out pills if I don't have a good medical administration record and good medical records available on my patients. As much of a pain as the paper was, and the possibilities of fire and water damage to it, the EHR has it's own issues. loss of power loss of internet, and not attack from outside via the internet.
Xactly well said. I work on lab equipment at several hospitals. And while networking tools have massively increased the speed and volume of patient testing, hospitals need to be prepared for these networks to go down. In fact a recent customer of mine switched to updated automation and now some employees are standing around a bit with less to do. I said 'trust me you'll be glad you have them when the instrumentation goes down. Your employees are your insurance policy.'
I’m a retired RN. We ushered in Computers in Healthcare. 😆 What a PAIN when systems went down and we had to revert back to paper charting. TOTALLY messed up everything related to Patient Care and Coordination. Pharmacy Services. Diagnostic Testing. On and on. People have NO idea how bad it can get! And that’s JUST in the hospital services
The other issue is for RNs the paper was faster to document and also retrieve. Now we have less time doing what we need to do for patient safety - have eyes and ears on THEM
I worked in a hospital for over 15 years. The use of paper while problematic and more expensive should be tested for a full day annually. If I were in charge I would mandate it. Then the process of going from paper back to electronic would also be tested. That testing also trains. And helps get the process documented properly. I wish common sense was common.
I used to work in cyber security and it's genuinely scary to see how ill-prepared so many organizations are, although, it seemed like healthcare facilities tended to have better cyber tools in place as they know they're high targets and have certain compliance requirements.
Love this channel! As a combat veteran and now a firefighter I can say, preparedness is EVERYTHING!!! Thank you!!
Very glad I planted my garden. I'm attempting a three sisters in one bed, and my tomatoes have gone wild in another. Potatoes are in grow bags, and my greenstalk is full of herbs, strawberries, and brassicas. I can't wait to start harvesting. My grocery bill has doubled since last year at this time and we haven't changed anything.
Good for u! I've encouraged everyone to have foods growing. Lotsa herbs too. Chickens if you can.
@@mick58kc72 chickens require special permits and set up in my area, which does not fit well in our backyard set up. I was very disappointed when we decided it wouldn’t work for us. However, I have family about 10 minutes away and they have chickens! At the height of growing season I regularly bring them garden produce and they give me eggs.
I've never been able to get 2 sisters in 1 bed, let alone 3.🤔
@@nickelsworth7097 Get real deep in that bed 😄
Excellent review of the facts as usual. No hype or click bait, just a rational presentation of the news and some options to deal with it. Thanks for all you do. Keep up the good work!
Yep
Inflation concerns me, as I live on a fixed income. I have amped up my garden activities, and foraging knowledge in hopes to offset higher food prices, and to reduce trips to the store.
I have a backyard flock; and continue the precautions I began earlier with your valuable advice. I have added turkeys this year, to the chickens and geese I already have. I live under a major migratory route, so I am always vigilant towards sick and dead birds, and bird droppings.
The ensuing climate problems are most concerning to me. After the last tornado struck my homestead in 2021, I adjusted my bug out bag to contain more tools to assist me in self rescue, and updated my bug out plans accordingly. My risk assessment spreadsheet fluctuates back and forth between flood, tornado (severe weather event), and extreme blizzard. I now have 3 different bug out bags, one for each type of event. What used to be isolated events, which came with seasons are now scrambled. We get floods in the middle of winter when it used to be all frozen. We got a drought last year, with forest fires, during April, our rainier month. Tornadoes used to be just be occasional, during summer; now we've had them in November, March, April, and now May.
I need 3 bags to prep for the overlapping scramble.
I also feel what's going on with your situation. I'm in it too but, I live in an apt. It's very scary. I will pray for us both.💜
Chemtrails are being track which are responsible for the radical climate changes. It is being done on purpose. A lot of evidence is coming out by democrats, republicans and scientists.
The climate problems are some of my bigger concerns. Global conflict, while still very dangerous, we can at least estimate actions and take precautions. Climate develops and occurs without exceptional forewarning. Here in Ohio we are on track to break our annual amount of tornadoes by late summer. The weather is exceptionally intense and varied in when it occurs.
After being a mindful Prepper for a very long time, except for petrol, all inflation has been mitigated along with shortages. Shopping is now optional for several years. Self, pets and adult child and family have been provided for. My focus now is on increased fitness, and honing new skills. Both my parents lived through two World Wars in the UK.. Most of our food came from a small Victory Garden, sometimes we rode our bikes to pick blackberries. We never lacked for anything. Frugality was a way of life, and has served me well my entire life, and will continue to do so..
We should all be ready for hard times but not live in fear. Good segment today.
@CityPrepping4 awesomeness
Have faith in Jesus and never live in fear. Fear is like prayers to the devil. Speak life into everything.
@@ravenstillwaters5195 amazing reply!
Pessimism can paralyze you or spur you to prepare. You might accept risk for you but prep for those you love. They depend on you.
I've slowed down on some of the channels I watch, but I still watch you for calm information.
Me too
I’ve been preparing since coming out of the military in the early 70’s. Being raised by parents born in early 1900’s I’ve always had this mindset and after almost 40 years in Alaska just solidified this although I realized it was not sustainable for an older man with health issues. I really appreciate your perspective and lack of sensationalizing your channel. Keep up the good work!
Interior AK here. 😊
No scare tactics, just knowledge.
Great video Kris! Thanks for all you do. I have my Scout troop working on 72 hr preparedness kits for their families as I still find it hard to find how many people don't even have the basics.
Excellent leadership!🏆
I live in Costa Rica now and the Costa Rican government announced yesterday that we will have electricity cuts beginning next week. Electricity rationing will begin next week and extend for 5 calendar days.
😮 take care
Do you know the reason behind this? I’m moving to Costa Rica in 2026
@@ImthatguyTy Hi there! Im from NY been living here since 2004. The national electric company (ICE) states its due to lack of rain. the lack of rain produced a drop in hydroelectric flow. Basically, we had an awesome sunny summer and no rain. However, it rained enough this weekend so we did not have the electric outage neither today Monday or tomorrow. That's cool that you're moving down here.
@@castillojennifer17 ah okay that makes sense because I think like 80% of their energy comes from hydroelectric dams and yes I’m trying to move before the states go under which I don’t think will be much longer :/
@@ImthatguyTy Yes, alot of our energy comes from dams. I went back to visit New York this past February and was taken back. It's quite different from when I was growing up there. I live in Heredia and it's safe and pretty modern. However, I would eventually like to move to Guanacaste.
I appreciate that you stick to what is really important as a prepper and not get sucked in to the hype of politics. I enjoy listening to your channel. Thank you.
I appreciate your common sense approach to prepping. You are one of the very few I trust.
I always remind myself how our parents and grandparents lived, to understand that simplicity can be found in self reliance and vice versa.
@justjoanish, yes! Learn to live life as independently from government as possible & always be dependent on our Lord, Jesus. He will be our guide!
Tanks for filtering out the static and bringing the meat of what we need to hear.
Exactly
This channel is absolutely the most realistic, down to earth source of vital information. ❤😊
As a grad student at a major US University, the protests are actually a huge thing I am keeping my eye on for my edc part of my prepping.
We live in a quiet area, but I appreciate you cutting through the fluff and pointing out what's important from a prepping standpoint.
I am repeating what others have said; yours is the channel I most often look to for guidance. Your tone, rational arguments and non-alarmist approach is key. If anything can encourage people to begin a basic prepping regimen, it is information based on statistically likely or probable scenarios. Such guidance transcends politics and makes prepping personal without panic or conspiracy theory about unlikely scenarios.
We have finally achieved a goal of having a brick and mortar home, I am excited to implement the rest of our plans and goals.
Your prepping Chanel is the only one I watch on a regular basis. Keep it coming please.❤
I am closely watching the multiple CMEs headed our way over the next hours.
Is there an app you see this or some website?
What are they going to do to the power grid? Are they actually a risk?
It might, I would have some spare electronics like a small AM/FM radio, a small HAM/CB or GMRS or like radio also, etc. That you need and make a homemade faraday box/can or a bag if you can that are extras. Do an inventory of you're preps and fill any gaps you may have. Finally you would fill any spare containers that are clean and pref. food grade with water. that's what I'm doing anyway.
They're classified as G4. For reference, the Carrington Event was G5. You can research online. Just look up CME today or solar storm activity... It could be as simple as pretty lights in the sky for those who live in he more northern part of the US & Canada. Or there could be disruption to phone service, radio wave interruption, possibly power outages to grid down anywhere from small areas up to large areas.
There is a small chance it could blow the grid in entire countries but they're saying that's unlikely. It all depends on varying factors. The bizarre thing is that we're getting 5 major CMEs between now & Sunday. If you have a Faraday cage, put your electronics & small power banks in it to protect them now. If you have a generator & you've planned ahead & have a Faraday cage for it, make sure it's secure.
All we can do is what we're doing- stay vigilant & plan accordingly. Unfortunately, they only get a day or two max as warning.
Just got off the phone with the EMP doctor. He's not too worried about this one coming.
I'm grateful for a channel like yours that presents information without all of the hyperbole and political leanings.

The Grace and mercy of the LORD, also common sense to prepare
Be a warrior, not a worrier. Preparation can decrease fear.
Good morning Chris I want to applaud the way you and your team approach the prepping community with a levelheaded approach and getting information to people and information to prepare and prep. We all know the key is the exchange of information to each other to allow us to be prepared and if you feel you have prepped, you have less fear. thank you
The reason I continue watching you, Kris, is because, IMHO, you do an excellent job of creating content that is very helpful and well-balanced for all of us. You don't do click-bait or fear porn and I really appreciate that. You stay safe too.
I agree!
There is so much to monitor right now, it takes a village. Thank you!
My biggest advice to prefers don't panic live. Your life is normal but keep one ear to the ground at all times pay attention to your surroundings and I don't mean you're immediate surroundings. Your surroundings in general because they'll be red flags. Tell tell signs if things are changing this way. You can get ahead of the game to prep or disappear or leave Dodge before anyone else realizes what's happened? So keep your ears to the ground guys pay attention. Keep your gas tank full at all times and be ready always and take nothing for granted. Enjoy your life but take nothing for granted.
I'm the prepper in my family. Everyone things I'm crazy. When there is any kind of emergency comes up, I'm prepared.
Same thing here. They look me and smile then shake they're head.
We have to have water and food stocked up for any emergency.common sense.

This channel is always a source of encouragement for me and my family. We went from having very basic hurricane preps (Houston) to a respectable array of long-term supplies, to which we keep adding every year.
A prepper library with actual physical books will be invaluable SHTF.
Im in florida and not looking to summer and hurricane season. Hurricane Ian went right over my house and is still very fresh in my head!
Good Luck to you! I'm on the Florida east coast by Fort Lauderdale, & have that nasty feeling that we are due! Also this is only the 2nd week of May, & we are already getting triple digit heat indices, with actual Temps in the high 90's. I recall when I had the old roof painted with white elastomeric, the roof reflected away a lot of the heat...thinking to do that again! 🤞🏼
I love how calm and informative your shows are. It is quite a relief in today's hysteria. Thanks for all your hard work!
The mini-library is awesome, but you and your team always help present news without politics or inciting fear.
My husband was raised by the greatest generation (his great grandmother) and has many of these skills. I am playing catchup but 2020 really opened my eyes to how having a prep reduces the stress of getting items when supply chains fails. Thank you for what you do.
Good luck to everyone.
As a Southerner, the heat and hurricanes are always a concern. Last summer the heat was brutal, I've got to do better this year...
I live in Florida. I have a small window AC unit that will run on my 1,000 watt Jackery. It saved me when my AC unit was hit by lightening. It will only cool a small room and only run for a couple of hours, but that was enough even thought it was in the mid-nineties.
Thank you for just cutting through the entertainment of the news that's on now. I'm to the point where I can hardly listen to it.
I really appreciate the no scare tactics. Makes me try & plan calmly. You are the ONLY person I can get my husband to listen too.
I've been collecting books on different prepping. Getting into herbal information.
I’m finally retired from working a regular job but I have always been a prepper like my father and grandparents. I know we can’t be prepared for everything but we certainly be ready to “respond” and not merely “react” to situations. Thanks Kris
As a new prepper, I appreciate the way you explain in a common sense and reasonable way the need to be prepared for whatever the future may bring.
As always I love your videos. I understand there are 6 solar flares (CME's) headed this way this weekend, please be safe and God bless everyone.
Vicki. As an amateur astronomer, it takes four minutes for the light of the sun to reach Earth. A CME would have hit already. Relax, it's going to be fine.
A good day and hello to everyone all the way from Trinidad ❤❤
Colorado?
Hello from south Florida
Hello from south Florida my friend
Hi from Vancouver! ❤
Hi from another South Floridian! I love Trinidadian accent- sounds like music!
Kris, Love your content & thank you as I have learned a great deal through your videos. I just wanted to add that I planted my medicinal herb garden at my bug-out location 2 years ago - plantain, yarrow, mullein, stinging nettle, chamomile, wild Lettuce, plus others. And added a perennial edible garden ( protected from creatures). I also added many items with their own solar chargers that can be used on the go - light/ fan combo, solar phone charger & emergency radio/light/ charger which is crank-solar & USB. That makes 3+ less things to have to worry about!!! Thanks for all you do for our prepping community.
Very intelligent preps! 🍀
So happy I found this channel I’ve been the main prepper in my family for as long as I remember and your videos help me stay sane
thanks for always bringing the best content, thanks for all the research / actual facts and no "drama for your Mama " scare tactics. you rock sir
A day late and hopefully not a dollar short. I just discovered this channel and enjoy the content. Thanks.
Cant say enough how much we appreciate your videos!
I recommend adding wool garments (including wool socks) to your prepping supplies.
Thank you so much for your amazing support and encouragement.
Inflation has affected all of us. As a child I saw my relatives repurposing and stretching things. I saw them saying no to things they wanted to do because of the budget. They had the money some of the time but they knew what else they would need money for during the month and they knew the importance of saving money for emergencies and for short and longer term goals. We've felt inflation but not as much as some people because we know how to budget and stretch things. We're also willing to make adjustments to our lifestyle so we don't feel inflation as much.
The world's problems, and media hype of them, get scarier by the day. As a retiree age woman who cannot retire yet and lives alone, I've been pulled into a rather agitated state of mind by the scare tactics (hence my prepping for the worst). Thank you so much for clarifying some issues for me and for your calm and reassuring delivery.
For what it’s worth, I’d like to thank you for your videos on (and your continued encouragement towards) improving our health as a crucial prep. I can list out a bunch of reasons for why I, myself, have slacked in that department over the last few years. At the end of the day, if/when a time comes when we truly need to be preforming at our absolute best, no amount of valid reasons will matter. You’ve been part of my inspiration for taking my own health serious again, so thank you.
Thank you, Chris, I remember the economy, and stagflation in the 1970's. At that time I bought a lot of "things" because the prices were going up so fast. I bought things that were valuable for saving money, DIY stuff, and side hustles. Those items are still valuable and useful to me today. Your channel helps me with the prepper side. Maybe you could add a few videos about saving money, DIY stuff, and side hustles as well.
@davidbrown4868. Those items from the 70's probably all still work! That's when people still took pride in doing a job well done! Not so much today & most amazon stuff today seems to be China knock offs - cheap & they break - very few quality items out there any longer if you read amazon comments.
Living in Arizona, we are already seeing several fires popping up now that the heat is turning up and last year we had several power outages. Definitely am getting things prepared for the summer. Temperatures here can very easily get up into the 120s for several weeks. Refreshing my water supply food and even bought a new generator.
@groovypucks
What would you do for an extended power outage? Have you thought of cooling towers like they use in the middle east? What about digging down (root cellar for keeping food (& people) cooled?
Glad I found you.
I need a good solid lead as I enter the Prepper Phase.
So much to take in.
I appreciate your resource and Im enjoying listening during my days.
Something tells me this summer is going to be bad.
Going to be grate...
Let's move to Russia
Next Demic will be here my guess July maybe Aug the latest. And the CBDC/Digital will roll in as well wright along with it.
Democrats know they can’t win so they will use riots or a disaster to postpone the election .
Your guns got HUGE😂....fitness goals ✅️
Many Thxs Kris for all you do!! 🌹 In the past month I have come to the conclusion from the school of hard knocks ie a slab leak in my house causing All water to be shut off that I need to have on hand a minimum of 3 bottles of water a day for use for one person “myself!!” So that is what I am working on Now! First enough for three months, six months and a year! Someone, told me Walmart has 2or 3 gallon water containers for $7.00 each.
Kris, as always, your calm, measured approach to the news is appreciated. Thank you for pointing us in a direction of preventive and proactive action to be ready for what is coming our way. You are a true gift to our community.

My main prep lately has been getting outside and enjoying life. Spring sigals hope and renewal. I planted some seeds and scouted some lakes and rivers, and generally got away from people and people noise. I agree that community is important but solitude is also sometimes.

I added balance exercises, even one month made improvement.
I changed my flimsy daily flip flops to a better pair. I was surprised to read that many home falls are due to shoddy footwear.
You are 100% correct. Many people ignore this simple item, to their later cost. For me, Clark's Cloudsteppers are super sturdy, & hold & support my feet for better balance, while still being thong sandals. (aka, flip flops) Just bought a new pair. Not cheap, but my old pair is still working, though a bit shabby, after 4 years! 🍀 Stay Safe!

I will get rid of every flimsy pair.
My balance is improving, such a delight.
I appreciate your straight forward honest sharing of helpful Information! No hysterics!
As always, thank you for these updates. From teaching me to grow a better container garden on my deck, to the encouragement on what I can be doing, and the heads up on what is going on in the world, thank you for all you and your team do!
Hello everyone.
Hi!
I truly appreciate how you explain different subjects and express you self very rationally and calmly. My strong suit would be sheltering in place. Since my closest relatives other than one, truly don't have any interest in preparing. So it's either leaving or staying to help the in spite of themselves. I look forward to your videos. Take care.
I've been subscribed for awhile now and must say that the way you inform & approach actually HELPS me, not frighten or panic me. I thank you for that!
I appreciated the prepping news, but mostly your honest openness towards the end of your video.
Prepping is overwhelming to me. I marvel at those who have a determined pace and those who have the funds to obtain the bigger items. It is what it is and one must be careful to not become frustrated and just appreciate what one is able to do.
Wishing everyone peace within yourselves.
It gets easier as you will see when you buy a little extra of canned goods every time you shop & how it helps build your survival pantry fast. Also, you could put pasta, etc in totes with bay leaves to keep out pests.
Love the no nonsense breakdown of events!
I appreciate how you present the information. There is no scare tactic/factor. You’re always very calm and collected. Thank you for that and for the information.
I really appreciate yourself, your team and this channel. It's so easy to get overwhelmed with all of the things you want to do, but you have such a great ability to break things down into manageable and achievable steps. I'm not as prepared as I'd like to be but I'm better prepared than I was this time last year! Thank you!!
Thank you for your balanced, no nonsense, "news you can use" presentations. It's so refreshing.
Thanks for keeping it simple and not blowing everything out of proportion.
Thank you for the information and the fact that you delivered it in a calm manner. It is so hard to keep a level head when there is so much going on. God bless you, your family and your crew.
Thank you for all the work you do behind the scene and what you prepare for us to learn. You confirm so much of what I have been learning and doing for several years and I continue to learn from you. May you continue to be blessed.
Watching this as I go about doing the finishing touches on my makeshift Faraday cage. Not only does preparing reduce stress, but I also find that when I'm prepared, nothing bad seems to happen. ;-)
I like the no nonsense format of this channel.
First of all I want to thank you. This isn't the first of your videos that I have watched and it is refreshing to find a prepping series that is inviting and apolitical as much as possible. It's hard to feel apart of a community when you are ostracized alot for your politics...so thank you again...just subscribed and will be going back over older videos.
Just starting to prep - Ty for non emotional/ biased /manipulative reporting of world events and prep related topics- it’s actually better than most news channels
Currently been focusing on my health over the news, but I greatly appreciate the effort you guys are putting into keeping us informed in a way that's not overwhelming. Keep it up guys!
