Don't sweat the lens man. I don't watch this channel to see your mug. I watch because you provide some of the best verbal tutorials for surfcasting of anyone on UA-cam. I think many others would agree. Strap your iphone to your head and keep the videos coming. Tight lines Rich!
Dude, your excitement is so genuine! Those are some run of the mill fish for you, plus the gear issues, yet you were as stoked as a person could possibly be landing those little stripers. You really are a fishaholic.
Rich, the cinema is really good on that phone. Looked really good when you had it showing you fishing from the distance. I think the view was great. The reality of bad days just get worse. Hope you get what you need for fishing and provide us with some awesome fishing but never doubt that phones quality.
Hey Rich, another awesome video, at least the fish catching part. Sorry about the camera lens. Btw....thanks for the lesson on how to fish the diamond jigs. I have lots of them, but never used them from the surf. Will try it next time I go surfcasting.
Dude, after that Tarpon in St. Maarten video, (one of the most epic fishing videos iv'e ever seen) , now Stripers!! yes, subbed. I go for Stripers spring and fall in Massachusetts. Plum island area..
Thanks for the video I've been struggling to find the right sand eel immitation and I think I'm going to pick up some smaller diamond jigs and give them a shot, seems like they cast well and catch fish so why not.
Thanks man! I work on the Adah-k out here in Montauk. The boat is a 48ft 1960 Rybovich so a very nice boat. We primarily do half day inshore trips for striped bass and usually Troll. But we also do full days inshore, or offshore. If your interested in booking call Captain Dave at 6316976315 and he can give you more detail about price, date, and time.
Hey man, do you have a twitter? Have a ton of questions when it comes to catching striper, and I would love to buy one of your poppers, but your website says they are sold out. Any idea when those will be back up? And really I would love some of your insight on catching striper; I swear they are the funnest fish to catch. Have never caught on a lure, which is why I want to try the lures you have up so badly.

Hey Rich! If you'd be up for it, I'd love to fish a tide or two with you somewhere on the island. You seem super knowledgeable, and I'd love to learn from you. Thanks man and tight lines!
You turn a bad day into a good fishing day. Great video fill bad about the camera lens but tomorrow will be better. Keep up the good work GetItGotItGood
Shame about your lens man, have you had any luck with your own lures? Most my fish have been caught of the sp minnow as it never lets me down but I'm always spending on different lures to add to the collection
Possibility to save camera lens (often used for cell phones): 1. Drain as much water from the lens unit. 2. Bury lens in raw white rice like you get at the grocery store. 3. Wait a few days to see if moisture is being drawn out. 4. If this process does not work then call mfg. to refurbish which may be cheaper than purchasing a new one. 5. Best Wishes.
Hey man, I have a couple Sony lenses from my Sony nex3 if you need them. They are e-mount so I think they are compatible. 18-55 kit lens and 16 (2.8) prime. Sony is the worst manufacturer for you to be using though. Least weatherproof out of all of them. I would suggest canon for video (you can find kits cheap), or even look into fuji or Olympus. Def all better routes. Do some research. This may be a good chance for you to up your video game up with some really good gear. Check out B&H in the city or Unique photo in Jersey. I also had the idea of using that DJI Spark drone handheld for filming fishing. It can follow you around and you can control from phone or with gestures. Just a thought.
a lot of electronics (most) can't be cleaned with warm DISTILLED water and repeated flushing then drying. It's the minerals (salts) electrolytes that are the problem. Just avoid getting batteries wet. The sooner the salt is flushed out the better. Keep some distilled water handy maybe.
shit Rich , that wasn't a bad day , yeah your camera got busted but you caught fish ! it'll cost you some coin , but it could have been worse , you could've got SKUNKED. LOL
Good video considered all your misfortune. But I definitely go get that camera cleaned get that salt water out of, so I took one camera to the beach and didn't get it cleaned afterwards and it locked it up
A true fish-a-holic.... one who fishes through adversity. Nice work Rich!

There really is no wrong way to use a diamond jig from the surf, as long as you aren’t reeling it super fast.
Joe Brown ....thanks Joe! I will give it a shot this weekend.
Talk about making the best out of a bad day! Great footage of some nice fish!

Hey rich , great channel . Was wondering what boat you work on and what's the cost to for a typical day or how does it work. Thanks and tugg on bro

Hey Rich, what’s the crowd like this time of year over there?
Looks like you got the st croix triumph back?
you not sell the big fishaholic stickers like the one on your car and kayak?
Hey Rich, what gloves do you use? and what gloves you'd wanna try but haven't yet?

Nice conditions. Been there with the gear problems. Love the south Side. Be safe
Do you recommend using a treble hook or single? If single what size hook?
A quick thought, you may want to use an electric de-humidifier to see if you can resolve issue.

Do you ever fish with your brand of pencil poppers? Never seen you use one in any of the vids.
Haven't gotten on a pencil popper bite this spring but when i do I will show the video.
Sick! I live close to the C.C. Canal and Pencil popper is in my daily arsenal. Might have to order one from ya. Enjoy your videos; tight lines!
I already miss the vids from you’re trip
is the aquaskinz jacket good for heavy rain during the fall
Filip Kaminski I have the same surf top and until now it hasn’t fail me yet
so heavy rain doesn't go through it?
my jacket hasn't really survived the test of time but I fish more than average so I beat it up.

Solo battery didn't stop the B-roll though. Why not shoot the intro/talking when you get back to the truck and batteries? I learned this the hard way.
