Got the same rig and absolutely loving it. Did a week long trip to the Yukon and it performed better than expected towing close to 800 pounds with trailer and gear.
I just came back from two weeks of hunting in the mountains, and I was extremely impressed with my hunting edition. Didn't have deep snow but it handled freezing weather and icy trails well. I used the heated grips and have the wind deflectors. I wanted the wind deflectors to help keep the cold from my hands when driving in the open, didn't work as well as expected. Thank God for the grips, definitely better than none. The rear rack extension worked extremely well. I covered the whole rear with an old ATV cover that I could extend over the handlebars in the rain but with the rack extension, it acted like a deep basket I could toss things in to without them bouncing out.
@@Dusdaddy I got the heated warmers and hand guards as well. I didn't find the handguards helped much with the cold, but they sure as heck helped with all the willows I drove through without getting my knuckles whipped. Heated grips worked awesome.
Sadly It looks like they discontinued the Outlander North Edition which had many desirable features for fall/winter riding. High windshield with hand protection, heated hand grips and throttle, fender flares, winch, 2.0" receiver, and upgraded foot rests.
I just picked this up yesterday. I am looking forward to using it for hunting in NY State and food plots. I have to say the linQ accessories are nice but so ridiculously prices. I saw a four gallon gas can for $239.00. Really!!!
Great adds for a great machine. Need the heated grips though. The only thing I don't care for, is the chainsaw carrier. Extremely well integrated but you lose the covered storage and the dirty saw will leak all over the machine. (Bar oil is the worse.) I carry my recovery gear in the storage bin so I need it. I had to make a saw holder that hangs off the front rack out of flattened PVC. Keeps the saw hanging over the outside of the machine. Clean and quickly removable. Went with a rear rack extension and rifle forks just forward of the console. Can't agree more on the lights. The lighting harness makes adding those small lights so easy. You're gonna want keep this one....
Great video, nice add ons. Hope you guys keep this machine around for a while and do a follow up Long Term review. I think many are curious on this new platform how things are going to hold up with some miles. As for that windshield, yikes!! hahaha not my styling but hopefully looks better in person. I like the quick on and off option of the G2. Keep the great content coming
This new can am looks like an awesome machine for the price. My dad bought the 2 up version this summer and likes it so far. He was disappointed you got to take the front storage box off for the chain saw holder. I am as well. I’m thinking about buy one this year over a Honda or grizzly.
Thoughts or a video on the performance differences between the 500 and 700's Also, when was the last time we saw a major shootout for 3+ brands. That would be great to see as a semi-regular update to the industry.
@@dirttraxtv yup, and it was good. I'm thinking like some of those really old ones like 4 brands in the same class. No ATV is perfect, but it's always nice to see comparisons.
I just ordered the hand guards, the console extension and the windshield. However i cant find the 3.5 lights with wiring harness adapter. Can you tell me the brand and where to purchase please? As for the guys bashing the windshield, I just have to laugh. I rode around 20-24 thousand miles a year on my harley for over a decade. When I was young I thought the windshields were dumb. Now being older I love having one. Doesnt have to be big or pretty, just big enough to keep the cold air off my chest. Cuts way down on fatigue, same for hand guards. I did also order the heated handgrips cause my hands dont work well in the cold anymore either. Great ideas in this video! Thanks
Thanks for this video! I have an outlander HD seven Pro XU and I am looking to add a few things and I really like the look of the phone mount, but I’m wondering, is the windshield “required” if the amount is put on? What did you think of the look with the phone mount accessory? I’m not sure, having not seen it in person
You don't need to add the windshield to have that console extension but I think you need the console extension if you want to add that windshield. Glad you enjoyed the video and congrats on your purchase!!
Thanks! It’s my newest addition to the family. My wife and I bought an 850 max XT last year but we both liked driving so much we decided we each needed our own. I love my 850, but I’m the navigator on new trails, so having my phone plugged in on the pro inside the storage console is handy. Having it actually visible full time while riding would be a game changer! I would t have to dig it out and look at every questionable intersection. 👍🏼
Is this box exclusive to the new outlander? I have the hd7 xu and got a used can-am audio box. I had to swist it to fit into linq systeme and use plyers to lock the other side down. It also bounced quite a lot so i had to strap it down to the bars at the back.
Can-Am hit a home run on these machines and accessories. That saw mount is 30 years overdue. And I'm no Can-Am fan. But, damn they went out of their way making the ugliest windshield ever.
Where can I find the correct flares/mud flaps for a can am outlander pro. My old man just got the hunting edition and is looking to put flares on… having a difficult time finding the correct ones. It also seems to have no marks underneath the atv to show where to drill to mount the flares
I know you guys did a comparison between this and the grizzly but would it be possible to do one with the grizzly, kingquad, outlander, sportsman 570, and the honda 520?
Thats windshield/GPS mount is fantastic. Granted i dont tide anywhere, whete i need a GPS,but I love the integration.
Got the same rig and absolutely loving it. Did a week long trip to the Yukon and it performed better than expected towing close to 800 pounds with trailer and gear.
Ahhhh, that makes me feel good. I did the test ride on this machine and absolutely love it. Glad to know others feel the same 👍

@@BC_Hunter I agree there, they did work good for the brush. Do you know of any flip-out mirrors that will mount to the frames?
Not sure, although with time, I'd expect a bunch of aftermarket accessories.

Such a solid platform! AJ making it a full-timer tells me everything I need to know! 💪
Love this machine. Hope you can get your hands on one for a review. Would love to get your first hand impressions 👊🏻💥🎉
Got the pro xu put 1000km on in one month and I love it

Heated grips are a must-have! We should've included them.

I'm sure you already saw our shootout of this and the Grizzly. Would like to have the KQ and Argo on hand next time.

You could use that soundbar for predator calls.
Nice no accessory backrest yet like they have on older models which really makes the ride comfortable for $270
Does the chainsaw holder work with the gas tank?

If we can get all these units on the ground at the same time, consider it done.
Wow those windshields look awful and cheap
Which one is best of HD7 models? Hunt, XU, XU T?
I can't get over how ugly those new windshields are.. AJ how can you say it looks good???
Love all the hatred for this windshield 😆
The windshield hatred is deserved. It barely covers anything, and yet it creates a blindspot at the same time. Good job Can Am engineers!
Does it come with DPS, or is that an option
This model has Try-Mode DPS.
What the hell kind of windshield is that?!
Does that chainsaw mount work on the Max XT 650?
No, only the new style G3s
Why didnt you fix those lights? Grizz looks drunk again! Lol
Naw I'll stick with my 2022 outlander 650 twin xt, max, camo.
