  • Here is the latest from AstroLux with their MF01 Mini! This light is fully programable to customize it yourself. It can be powered by a 18650, 20700 or 21700 cells. The solid copper heat sink looks excellent. This is also USB Type C rechargeable for faster charge times. This little light provides a large area of flood light. The beam is wide. This is a solid built light and feels rugged as well. See link below to my online store plus use my discount code to save $$:

    I think this Astrolux MF01 mini is the best flashlight next to my Haikelite HK04. I now have Astrolux Mf01 Mini 3x, the silver one with Liitokala 5100mah (26650) 20A, the sand one with Vapcell 5900mah (26650) 20A and a green one with the Shockli 4550mah (21700) 30A. The green Astrolux MF01 with the 21700 battery is brighter, but lasts (security officer) for a day. The sand colored one lasts for 2 days. My Mateminco MT90 mini (blue, green and black) all have an extension tube for a 26800 (6800mah) 30A. 6800mah is on batteries, but the real capacity is between 7150 and 7413mah. The Shockli 21700 has a capacity of 3998mah and the Liitokala has a capacity of 5864mah and the Vapcell has a real capacity of 6803mah.

    Thanks for making the video. I just bought one of these, although I got the 4000k one, and this helped me understand the basics. I bought two of the Imren 5500 batteries and also two of the Shockli 26650 5500mah batteries. I read that the Shockli are quality batteries and live up to their claims so I'm using one of those for now. I also have one other flaslight that uses 26650 batteries (Thrunite Catapult Mini) so at least I have some spares batteries now.
    Anyway I really like this light so far. I'm a sucker for hi cri and warmer tints and this Astrolux really looks nice. This is probably the brightest light that I own and in such a small size. Although it heats up fast, it is still impressive and it's a nice looking light. I bought the green body style really like it.

    This is one of my all time best lights. Not in this fancy copper-steel version, the ‘normal’ aluminum version has exactly the same functions. Lighter, so even more an edc. This light has it all. Anduril is the way to go, only stepping mode, like many ‘toplights’ have is really old school compared to this excellent light. Ok, it has a lot of flood, but it is still a good light on distances like 200m or so.
    Thanks for reviewing!

      Have you got a Sofirn SP36, Carel? If I'm not mistaken, I think I came across your post in some SP36S or BLF version review video. How do this and the SP36 compare to each other? I like that the MF is quite compact and much lighter. I would get the 4000k version though. While the SP36s or BLF version has nice creamy 5k tint but it's much much heavier.

      Blgg Tavus yes, very perceptive of you! Indeed I have the SP36. The 6000lm NarsilM 2.1 version that is. Not the Anduril version. Your question is very good. My favorite light with some lumens was the SP36. It is an excellent light, sturdy, good beam profile, excellent ramping and super moonlight too. But.... but now this Astrolux MF01 mini is just as good. It is a bit smaller and lighter (the standard version is) and has a good feel in the hand. Let me say this. When you are in for a good 5000+ flashlight you do good with both. When you want all the Anduril goodies, compare the SP36 Anduril with this MF01 mini. In the end it is your choice. I love both lights and when one is broken or lost I buy a new one right away. Do I say that the best option is ‘buy both’?
      Wellll eummm.,, Yes😀👍

      @@craigs7181 Thanks for your thought. I actually have the Sofirn IF25 and the SP10S, which both featured the SST20 (different CCTs) and the Samsung LH351D, which have kind of already given a picture of how the MF mini and the SP36 high cri would be. Reason-wise, there's no need for me to buy either for the two I asked about. But you know, I'm gradually becoming a flashaholic.

    I have it (in grey) and I would like it very much (relatively small but strong) BUT the tint of the SST 20 is of an ugly green (in lower levels). Others have complained on this too. The auxiliary LEDs are quite dim even on high. (not a deal breaker).

      I just got a brass mini with SST20 4000K's and it's wayyyy better than my green tint SST20 5000K mini. The 4000K's produce a milky white consistent beam -- so much better. Side by side the difference is incredible. Of course you will lose some lumens with the 4000K's but not much and it's worth it.

    Charles, have you investigating the copper heatsink mod that is available for this (see Zozzlights' review) available on BLF? Did you experience the significant ramping issues that others have, and do you think there will be a better fix from Astrolux on this issue?

    • @CharlesBridgTec

      @andygsp 4 роки тому +1

      I don't mind the ramping UI, but what I meant to say was did you experience an issue with it not staying at high brightness because of heat issues (IE going to much lower brightness shortly after turning on)?
      Thanks.

      @CharlesBridgTec  4 роки тому +1

      Cycle down from Turbo is normal. This is a pure copper heat sink so this is normal for safety reasons. You can increase turbo runtimes if you program it via the Anduril software in the manual. Take care.
