I have a 2000 Acura TL and I upgraded my system myself because of my years of experience with system installs. I've watched your videos and looked at your store and was frustrated by the lack of support for 2nd Gen representation. Thanks for addition of the second gen to your stellar works!
I have a 1999 Acura TL. I am using a Kenwood DDX374BT. My ACURA does have the Bose Subwoofer. I just wanted to upgrade the factory radio. I did get a wire harness to splice in the factory harness, and Kenwood radio harness together. I am used to Pioneer stereos, but this Kenwood radio has a billion eq settings, and a lot of crossover settings I am trying to get right. I did need help from a friend to hook up the Bose sub to the sub out RCA plug of this Kenwood, and all of the factory speakers are still in the doors. The issue that I am having now is that even with the different settings, especially for the sub settings on this Kenwood, when I have the eq bass setting up, and I am trying to get the sub to have more bass then the door speakers, but that not the case, actually all of the door speakers are fluttering because its like the speakers are putting out as much bass as the sub, and it sounds horrible. I have tried a lot of different crossover settings, and I have tried different eq settings, but it still doesn't sound good, I just ended up just leaving the eq bass setting lower, and I cannot put the radio that loud, because then that's when I get a lot of bass distortion rally bad in the door speakers. That is making think the I just need to just get a separate amp for the sub, with the gain turned up, and adjust the eq for the door speakers separately. I am trying to get the full sound with good bass and decent highs like it use to sound like. The factory radio started having issues where it won't pick up stations anymore, and I was tired of messing with it. If that means I need to replace the factory door speakers with new ones, then I will. Unless you may have any suggestions?? That would be greatly appreciated.
