You can make your own pin with wire if it is thin and strong enough. Copper wires are a bit soft for a pin, but I have used 20g half hard Argentium silver and sharpened the end with a file (cut the wire on an angle first). Other wise for the pins I sell I add a pin back like this: www.etsy.com/ca/HeatherBoydWireDIY/listing/849842149/stainless-steel-pin-backs-for-jewelry they are more discreet than regular bar pins.
Thanks Robin: The letters should keep their shape. Be sure to use a wire that isn't too soft. I like the tarnish resistant brass from Beadalon. Half hard wire is best, but others will work too!
Hey! Omg! You reply to comments! Yay! I have a question and I'd appreciate it so much if you could answer. Does the beadalon tarnish resistant wire leave your skin green? Also the silver beadalon tarnish resistant, is it actually tarnish resistant/doesnt turn colour. And do the wires actually retain their colour? Sorry for the questions but I hope you can help ❤❤
Hi Tania: The copper tarnish resistant wire keeps it's colour, but if you have very acidic skin and are wearing a ring for extended periods of time it might be a problem. I don't wear rings and wouldn't advice wearing them while swimming or in the shower! You'd have to test it to to be sure.
I like your tutorials. You have tutorials that I’ve been searching for for a while. You’re very creative, but I think you forget that a lot of viewers are new at wire wrapping. Thanks for your feedback Felicia. In my recent videos I pop up text with the measurements and wire gauge. If ever you have questions you can comment on specific videos with questions. Thank you, Heather.
