Excellent piece, very atmospheric! instantly reminds me of the cover illustrations of the Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone Fighting Fantasy books I used to love as a kid, like 'oh shit, I probably shouldn't have chosen to go wandering the path alone after all'. I think I first became aware of the Wendigo when I saw the excellent 1999 film 'Ravenous' on release, where a character with cannibalistic tendencies is assumed to be one. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it.
Thank you! Some of the images are. As long as you change the images enough from their original it's ok to use them even if they're not royalty free stock images. Otherwise you can use sites like Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash, and stock images on DeviantArt with attribution.
The only thing I don't like about this piece is where the man is looking. He should be looking at the wendigo's upper torso/head and not at its legs, it would also be great if he gave some sort of reaction after seeing the wendigo as we all would if we're up against a 12-foot monster. It would surely add a great deal of realism and to the piece.
Love it, man! You have absolutely killed it with the composition and the mood! 👌
Thanks man! Still loving your work too!
