Project is in Sesmic zone is V ,if i do program calculate is shows less reinforcement in beams and all members pass but when i manually put time period its show more reinforcement also some beams fail in shear stress , Calculated with formula as per dimensions of building i got in Xdir-0.36 and in Ydir-0.45 ,
Retaining wall is going to be a different entity from the building. No doubt it is going to support the Backfil but to balancd the mass..the retaining wall must have to be integrated into the frame of building and when you are going do it... it's going to be known with name of shear wall 😅

While defining sesmic load pattern, there are 3 options for time period ,which one we should take, user defined or program calculated in etabs
choose program calculated for easier access
otherwise time period can be calculated from codal formulaes

Shear wall must be incorporated to balance the center of mass. Shear wall must be fixed at upper/back side of building.
