I love watching Kirsty play these types of games with this group, I hope she learns Red Alert next so she can join the usual Civ stream from jingle jam and be a regular of the civ games group because again, I love watching her playing these types of games

@Tiptop9278 after watching the opening stream I now see that the editor had a perfect opportunity to cut when CIV began but instead chose to cut halfway through the chat 🤦♂️

even as a little square on a screen, you just can't stop Kirsty's smile, which is a delight :)

Ah I'm loving this. Need more of this on the Civ channel. An incredibly early war is always good times.

I think the reason Lewis' team lost so badly is because Duncan and Lewis didn't know how to deal with potato's early aggression and just panicked. They over-committed to building units so their civs stagnated while Daltos went liberty (which is op when left alone in lekmod) and snowballed. Don't want to get a Rythian hate train going because he doesn't enjoy war, was balanced out by Kirsty (no offence!) and I think gets too much hate sometimes, but he probably could've done more to support Duncan and Lewis economically even if he didn't want to war. Enjoyed the war though! Would like to see more 'team' games, though not with actual teams because I don't think the civ teams system is very balanced. The game's usually over if one player gets knocked out.
The issue is that the team had Duncan on the front line doing war, Rythian with a ton of land and islands doing expansion and Lewis doing science.
The other team had Potato doing war, Daltos doing expansion, and Kirsty doing science.
Feel like Lewis & Duncan are good at mid-late game war, not early game war. It makes sense, nobody wars early because they're doing it for video content and not knocking people out..but it's created this misconception that you need nukes, jets, and xcoms to win a conquest victory. MOST good civ players understand that you can WIN a 6 player conquest victory by the time you're at crossbows. ESPECIALLY on a Pangea map.
Finally they didn't let lewis get away with it. Finally.
It would've been cool and useful if lewis's team picked blue colored civs and and simon's team picked yellow/orange colored civs. Duncan ruined it!
good to finally see Kirsty enter the fray of the war that's been raging since turn 5. Only took 2 and a half hours lmao
I enjoyed team Ozymandias. If only it was a touch more balanced but that’s how Ozymandias is anyway

Egypt is not a bad start on that map. But it is bad if you don't kill Kush. So given it was north vs south the starts for north were terrible.

yikes. never seen Lewis lose so decisively. Potato did alot for Daltos in keeping Lewis, Rythian, and Dunc busy while he expanded and solidified so he could steamroll Lewis. Kirsty MVP though
its really annoying how the cam missies some vital stuff out at times

As usual there is one player who does not build a single military unit, is not attacked and pulls his team down
