Always had working line GSD's from me being 5yrs old now 51. Got my first Dutch Herder 2 weeks ago. What amazing dogs . Will never get a GSD again . This breed is just fantastic.
You should get the knpv style of Dutch Shepherd or malinois. About 75% Dutch or mal and 25% working line gsd. I think that creates the best working dog. Offers a little more stability and hardness of the working line GSD plus size, and the zest and Agility of the Dutchie
I got 9 months old boy and 8 months old female dutch shepherd. I do not think that I need to tell you guys how awesome and smart they are. On side note I Also have one 3 years old corgi. It's best combination of 2 breeds and so much fun.
A beautiful breed of dog we have a rescue puppy we thought he was a lab at first I didn't know or pay attention to the Dutch Shepherd line I like Shepherds our dogs passed away from old age this year so we needed another one wanted more or less and when we got him home and started to grow he's turned out to be a high energy Dutch Shepherd which we appreciate but wow he's a lot of work but a majestic dog nonetheless thank you for the video !! blessed day !!!😁
Dutchies..... and you thought nothing could be a bigger bastard than a Malinois lol. As Mr. Pena would tell you (I’m guessing he would so don’t quote me here) these dogs typically aren’t what you would call “pet quality” and truly do not belong in the hands of 99% of dog owners. DO NOT GET A Dutchie.... unless you are that 1%. They will own you. That dock dive was epic.
Having raised several of both, I can say you have it backwards. Most Dutch Shepherds a better family dogs. They are just as high drive as Malinois dogs, but I can get them to go to sleep and lay in one place resting as long as a good hour or two of hard exercise is given each day. With the Malinois, they need a little more, and you can forget about resting for more than a few minutes. Now that they are around 5, they are much more manageable, but if I didn't work from home and have the time for them, no way could I own one. The Dutchie has proven much more kid friendly in that they are more gentle around small children. A group of kids might get herded though. Having two that get along also helps immensely as they will wear each other out often, as long as your neighbors understand that the gladiator style play, snarling, barking, and chomping on each other is just a game.
@@alaskayoung3413 Yeah, DS is between the GSD and Malinois in terms of drive and family suitability. GSD is best for families, Mal for special forces. Still, if i was a hooligan, it would be the working line Dutch Shepherd i'd fear the most. Insane drive and a bit more powerful than the Malinois.
@@stevenreyngold1166 total opposite from my experience, my Dutch Shephard is not good with kids instantly switches to extreme focus herding mode. Most malinois I know listen better, are better with kids, and are better cudlers and have (way) less energy. Maybe my dog is just a bit crazy
Have Norris a 5 yr old He stands at 28 1/2 at the shoulder and weighs in at 120 lbs. The boy is a beast. He is a toy shredder, a need to be petted by everyone fiend. Laying at me feet at the moment. Came out of a pet store in Cincy. Adoption day for a rescue. Was heading to the fence by the dumpster to let him pee before getting in the Truck. Behind the building 2 girls were working with a bully mix, he charged toward us. Norris turned squared up and waited calmly but tensed and ready, nose to nose the charger stopped and submitted. The girls apologized, I just said its what dog do. He has no fear. He was ready to go, but just stood his ground and protected. Can't ask for a better breed.
@@nidalkhan6161 As long as you give them exercise. Norris lays around, no zoomies, but often has to interrupt me with his latest leather chewie. Shoves it at me, a few tugs then he gets his 90 lb little brother involved. He's a Boxer/American Bulldog mix. They love attention mostly, older kids yeah, patient. Smart, but keep challenging them.
can you please tell me how you get him to stay beside you like that? I have a beautiful one-year-old Dutch Shepherd and she is insanely smart and amazing but I can't get her to stay beside me when I walk
Mark Farrasci of protech dog training produced and trained this dog. Sold, already highly trained to this man. You should probably contact him. He's in CA.
I'm adopting a Belgium malinois Cross Dutch shepherd puppy from rescue he's coming home next week. I'm used to high energy dogs already have a cattle dog and a malinois. Just worried this pup is four almost five months old and has no obedience training and a rough start maybe I'm missed crucial training and socialisation period hopefully not I wouldl e to get him to this stage of obedience both my cattle dog and malinois have a lot of advanced training but I had them both from eight weeks old and they came from good genetics and reputable breeders
I am so pleased to be a owner of the Dutch shepherd and I must stress that these dogs are not just a lay around and do nothing dog they must be worked every day and require a lot of commitment to own
😍 what a “cutie “ I hope i can get a “Nederlandse herder” but I doubt I can have enough energy to drain them (maybe a less energetic personality) 🤷🏼♂️
@@dsjelmertje99 Dutchies are clear minded, they think before the handler thinks and have the job done before the command is spoken They decide independently, but never against the handler, when there is trust - Malis are more playful clowns and have a different kinds of humor 😁
The most badass dogs on the planet. They are absolutely gorgeous too!
I have one and he was allot of work but he is the best now.
Best Dog ever...period..
Says a lot about his handler as well.. amazing!!!

WOW nice JOB
My Dutchie got tired just watching this with me. She said, "ya, right" and went to sleep. She's a lazy girl, for a Dutch Shepherd.
I hope to get what of these dogs in the future.

@@stevenreyngold1166 from my experience I totally agree. Even text books state the same. Dutch is more family oriented working dog.

Well said I have a Dutch Shephard malinois mix but it's not for most people, I had to hit him a lot or else he would be owning me now being 42kg
Incredible dog, incredible training!
Spettacolo 😍

Bred by Mark Ferrasci, and trained up to 1 year old, then he was bought by Andrew, who sharpened his training.

I am not able to differentiate dutch shepherd from Belgian Malinois. someone help me.
Dutch shepherd has a brindle coat and Belgians don’t
How much for a pup ?
I am so pleased to be a owner of the Dutch shepherd and I must stress that these dogs are not just a lay around and do nothing dog they must be worked every day and require a lot of commitment to own
Strak Voet!!!!!
My Dutch Shepard can do all that!! 😂 edit: she is the best at dock diving she’s so good (my dog)
At 00:50 he has faith in the dog
I am betting he's bruised.
So are there any major differences between the Dutch and Belgium?
Wow 💪 Kurcze jak ja bym chciał nauczyć tak swojego szczekać na zawołanie 😅

Take them on bicycle rides. It can wear them out.
I wish Versai was like that
0:50 why would you teach your dog this?😂
The last picture !! He looks scary !! como el lobo feroz!!
For me it looked like: "OK, that was the warming-up, are we now going to do some real work, please?"
Yea but can he drive a truck? Lol. Beast canine!!!
Why drive when they can fly ; )
That dog is a damn functioning psychopath!
💗.
I hope you named your dog Air Jordan
Dang I've got a high metabolism but this is nuts. You've definitely got to be driven max for a dutchie!
👍👍😊
I swear my Malinois snorts cocaine !!
My Dutchie got bitten by a Pofadder got him though that hope he reaches his full potensiol
But can he stop a pit bull attacking you
this is rocky "therecklessdutch"
Muy lindo video algun numero de contacto para una capacitacion
Belgian malinois brother
German shepherd smart strong powerful world the first dog only one
That's hours and hours of training
Why dutch ? he is a Belgian malenois
no, they are different breeds
Mali’s are from Mechelen (Belgium). Dutchies are from the Netherland. Dutchies are a bit more calmer than malinois, but still high drive dogs.

best high drive dog exercise rig ever- dog powered fun- lets the dog goooo full blast under excellent dog control- www.dogpoweredscooter.com
This whole movie is completely ruined by the horrible "music".
This Is a Holland shepherd?
