Finally. someone who made more than 1 take in the metahuman animator, and also with some good acting. most metahuman shortfilms on youtube look like crap mainly because the acting and animation on their metahumans is utter garbage. and this one is so nice!.
This really a very nice film specially the woman's character is very realistic! Maybe I'm wrong but it seems that the pig character is a bit stylized comparing to her. also must praise you on your well written script!
I agree with a comment here, most artists on youtube are not on this level, this was beautiful to see! Great work, do you mind telling me how long it took to make this? And how long for final render?
once the animations were recorded and processed, it took about 16 hours over two days in UE. I only recorded two takes of each performance, and since I did both performances myself, they were a bit out of sync and their eyelines were way off at points. So I had to go shot by shot and line everything up, rather than filming coverage of both performances at once. This made the process longer than it needs to be.
@@injectionAI Film has nothing to do with lens flares. Also, old lenses don't necessarily cast flares. I'm not quite sure what the creator wanted to achieve with the excessive amount of flares but it certainly doesn't help with the nice acting, storytelling or the well made cinematography.
It's d9ne using a workflow and software called metapipe. It is pretty complicated and requires multiple pieces of software like Maya, although I think it can be done with blender as well. We have tried adding bones to the ears but it is very difficult
I love it. It looks awesome! You have very nice mouth animatiom. Are head expresions recorded on iphone or on some more expensive setup? Thanks for info
This is great work! Is the Pigman a metahuman character? Or is it a character that you applied control rig to then used Metahuman Animator to do the facial mocap?
The pigman was a character I found on the UE marketplace: www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/pigman I then passed the asset to a character artist to do the conversion to metahuman. It is then animated the same way as any metahuman, and I am able to use metahuman animator for the face. In this case, the face wasn't as expressive as I would like after applying a metahuman animator animation, so I baked to control rig and expanded the curves using the transform tool on all the mouth controls and the brow controls.
Thank you! All the camera movement is hand animated, just keyframed in the Sequencer. Honestly I feel the camera movement is a bit stiff, I am trying to get it to look much more natural

Dude! This is so sick! I’m fascinated by this world, wanna see more 100% keep it up!
Oh my god your animation and voice acting skills are amazing. Good use of AI voice conversion too! Didn't realize it until I saw your description.
Wow , animations look so nice... Great Work.
& that Piggy Hacker/metahuman, looks fantastic...
This has a lot to learn, and it's such a cool cinematic!!

Wow! This is excellent!!! 🔥
Amazing, please make a video showing this project running on unreal engine!!
Will do soon
This is incredibly impressive!!! Congrats! How long does something like this take to create?
About a weekend

Nice work!
It would be awesome to have tutorial on this. Great channel, subbed ^^
Wow.. What exactly am I looking at? This is so cool.
Awesome mate
Pigman neck not looking right in some shots (ironically it's sticking out lol), most noticeably when he turns his head in 0:54.
Those lens flares ruin the video quality
Yes, we need to stop emulating film and old lenses and move past that paradigm

pretty damn good! :)
Nice! How did u put a pig head to metahuman ? It is possible to add additional bones, for example, to the ears ?

This is awesome and I got Beyond Good and Evil vibes. Did you use Nuke for the compositing?
Thanks! No Nuke, everything is rendered in UE and then cut in Adobe Premiere. I didn't do any compositing
Now let them date
Bravo!
That is so beautiful, comparable to some of the big studios. Might I ask what kind of system you have, CPU/GPU, to create something like this!
Thanks! I have RTX 3090, i9, 64gb RAM
Great stuff, is it real time or pathtracer? :)
Real-time hardware raytracing. No pathtracing
Amazing work !Will there be detailed tutorials in the future? thx

The face expressions are all done using an iPhone 13 and rokoko headrig. Headrig is like $275 or so
nice one bro.but you ignore those penetration of the cloth in the neck area hehe, 0:38

nice! but please decrease the lens effect

@@NorthwoodsInteractive honestly it looks really good!
Bro who teaches you how to cook 😊
wtf?! 🔥
So you are saying a single guy with all the go pros etc made this?
Yeah this was one person who assembled and animated everything, and did both performances. I did not create the environment or the characters.
WHATS A GOOD EMAIL FOR YOU
Uncanny valley somehow
What is your rendering setting?
I'm just using hardware RTX and movie render queue, 4k, jpeg sequence
