So you began with a simple acrylic painting on the canvas. Washed it in charcoal. Erased to create highlights. Added fur and whiskers with white charcoal pencil. Maybe did another coat of charcoal. Added soft pastel for color. Used a final bit of white acrylic for the brightest whites. I have never seen so many mediums used on a canvas in one piece but it looks fantastic!
Beautiful creation !! I loved it .But I request you to explain from starting to ending the way you paint ,and what material you use to complete this painting.
Hi There!! luv your techniques!!! Can I just ask as I just discovered this in my search for texture in my painting/drawing! Do you use the acetone texture technique on your charcoal art! regards bob
Thank you! Yes I did, usually when I work with charcoal I don’t use fixative between the layers but I couldn’t get the charcoal dark enough on the canvas so had to work in more layers, fixing it between each layers
This is fantastic! Thank you! Is the background done with colored charcoal or is it acrylic? Can you use acetone on acrylic paint? Thank you again for sharing your talents.
Omggg sameeee my dog dosent like the fire works but she's sleeping rn and this is beaufuil and amazing it proply take time and patients to do this painting. And i just wanna ask like do u copy from the original picture or photo?
Thank you! Yes I did, I’m planing on spraying it with a glossy varnish soon too! I l prefer a glossy finish and using the gloss varnish means I don’t need to frame it behind glass.
Excellent, so I’m assuming you painted acrylic then charcoal with white pastels then acrylic white on top ? Was this on pastels paper or canvas? Love your work & thanks for giving us some great tips
Thank you! Yes it was an acrylic wash then charcoal powder. I erased the charcoal powder for the details then went ver it with vine charcoal. then i added the white with a pastel pencil. I sealed it with a fixative at this point then went over it again with vine charcoal to add the shadows then fixed it again before adding a final layer of white acrylic paint.

Hi! Your art is incredible! Can you give some tips about how to prepare your canvas for drawing media?
Dude that's badass I love it
Absolutely great work!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome, looks so real, the details are amazing. You talent. Like the dog too. Beautiful.
Thank you so much 😀 and thank you from the dog too :)
@@StudioWildlife you're very welcome!🙂
That is really amazing!!!!
So beautiful painting And love the dog too..
Thank you so much 😀
Did you use a medium or water to dilute the colors for the wash? I can't get enough of your videos! They're amazing!
This is beautiful
This was extremely satisfying to watch! It turned out so cool! Do you do some sort of fixative when you’re done?
Yes so for the charcoal on canvas I use a pastel fixative then a spray varnish then a brush varnish so that I don’t have to frame it behind glass
Awesome!!!
Thank you!
Love your style and process, how do you fix/seal it on canvas at the end so that it can hang freely not under glass?
For this I spray it with Windsor and Newton pastel fixative then their glossy varnish then give it a coat of glossy brushes on varnish
@@StudioWildlife wow thank you for sharing 😊
@@StudioWildlife do you loose alot of the highlights with the windsor and newton spray?
Gorgeous. What do you spray to get the bubble like effect on the background, turpentine?
Thank you , It's acetone
Hi thank you for sharing this beautiful painting
How much time do you give for fixatives to dry between layers

It’s acrylic paint, I usually just use water on the acrylic parts but you can use acetone on it too
@@StudioWildlife Thank you. Did you use water or acetone on this piece with the acrylic background?

I took the picture myself on a trip to Dudley zoo with amber! I have the picture up next to the canvas so I can use it for reference
@@StudioWildlife tysm i wish i was at the zoo to be honest but i never got the chance to your very lucky

What program do u use for editing your videos?
I'm just learning to use davinci resolve only my last 3 or 4 videos are edited with that. before i was using openshot.
@@StudioWildlife tyyy
are those pastels? the colored ones?
Yes they are
I wish you would have explained what you were doing instead of just playing music.
Nice, but lacks the narrative.
