You pay 125.00 a day to have the whole thing to yourself! Plus hooking onto multiple 22+ inch browns and rainbows is nice, too.

In Michigan all water ways are public except there are some private ponds. As for rivers and creeks as long as you're in the water you can fish where ever you want. I've fished in creeks that flow through the yards of multi million dollar homes. I know it annoys the shit out of them to look out across their nicely manicured lawn and bushes to watch me fish. As long as I don't touch land there isn't a thing they can do.

Here in the UK there are no good free fly fishing rivers... they cost $70 (with the exchange rate) minimum a day. Consider yourself lucky...

The privatization of fly fishing is a crime! I agree with an earlier statement of the rich getting richer... Sad!

They charge $125 a day.. that's insane considering if you're near that ranch you're near some of the best (free) fishing there is in all of the United States. Why anyone would pay $125 a day to fish in Montana I don't know... Big Hole River is just down the road, and is world class fly fishing river. FREE. Never understood the idea of fishing ranches in areas like Montana...

Rich non-farmer/non-ranchers have driven the cost of ranching and land so high, real ranchers have to monetize hunting and fishing to survive. Without the rancher some Wall St broker or Hollywood type would buy it and stop fishing altogether. I would pay, not gladly, but beats losing it to developers or movie stars/ moguls
