I’m just now starting my path to spirituality. I do not know exactly where to begin. But this was an enlightening conversation. I feel deep down a connection to a higher power. I’ve experienced it with the birth of my son. But today’s American churches put me off. I was going to say religion puts me off, but I don’t think that’s quite right. So I’m going to explore and ask as many questions as I know how to. Thank you for putting this type of material out here. 😊

With all due respect the definition for spirituality was vague. I'm not sure how looking at the impact of spirituality tells us what it is. I came here with an open mind to try to understand what it is and I keep rewinding to hear that definition. I don't get it. Can anyone else elaborate on what spirituality is? Is it basically the idea that we are all connected via evolution and experience? The idea that our problems aren't unique and are small in the grand scheme of things? She also mentioned knowing you're guided. By what or who? Guided by influences from culture, our upbringing, our loved ones etc.? Or does it necessarily include believing in a God or "higher power" (which I could also use a definition for)?
Rich do you have another channel where you have content from your ultras etc? Just randomly saw you in an old ÖtillÖ swimrun video from 2017! And then saw your prep video for it. Would love to see more content from your current training/races etc. Love the podcast but would love to see more of that kind of content! All the best
I did mushrooms and was looking for spirituality and ended up feeling the complete opposite. I took things away from it but I’m always so confused by the divine nature that people extract from it. Alas, I’ll keep searching for spirituality after being an “exvangelical”
I am not religious nor have I been raised religious. I’ve been interested in finding a way into spirituality. I lose interest when things feel disingenuous. The way Rich’s wife is talking sounds like my type of path. Is there a book on meditation and breath anyone has read they recommend?
