This old girl needs a rebuild. When steel and aluminium make contact, the aluminium rusts instead of the steel. It's galvanic corrosion. Once the vehicle has been neglected to the point that all the seals and gaskets have perished you will begin to see it all over the aluminium bodywork. You can't fix those doors unless you separate the aluminium skin from the steel frame and paint them both and then reattach the pieces. It's basically impossible. The best thing to do is get the later model doors which are pure steel. I think it's going to cost a lot more than the vehicle is worth sadly.
