I loved the badgers, if my art looked half as good I’d be so happy. It makes my feel I should give up, when other artists are really critical of there art but my art isn’t a fifth of appealing.
Never give up! Everyone's art is different. For me, the badgers just didn't look anything like what I was trying to achieve. I think I'd probably looked at someone else who was producing beautiful gouache pieces and I was trying to create something similar and falling way short. I was trying to force something instead of working more intuitively and leaning into my strengths. Comparison is the thief of joy, right? Don't compare your work to other's. Look for what's good and beautiful and distinctive and quirky in your work.
