- Dried masking fluid can ruin brushes so quickly. For this demo I did not even add soap to my brush before coating with masking fluid and allowing it to dry. This solution is so simple and it took only about 3 minutes to completely clean my brush.
Genius! @Shelley Prior Fine Art I know I'm 4 years late but I have used goo gone for years and never thought of using it for brushes!! I have a couple that I use and reuse. I'm going to try this tomorrow! Thanks ❤x
This is such a great tip. Thank you.
I didn't know. I have also come across the tip to dip the brush in dish soap liquid before dipping in the masking fluid. It is meant to help it to be an easy clean up.
I haven't tried that idea yet though.
I have avoided using a brush with masking fluid for this reason! I love Goo Gone so will have to try this! My usual is to use one of my dad's or husband's old lettering tools from their drafting sets, which is wonderful for fine lines, but not so much for large surfaces! Thank you. I just discovered you today and YT has changed things around so much that I was concerned that you had disappeared. I only saw 2 year old videos under Videos. I don't care for shorts and expected everything to be under one category. Sigh.
Thanks very much. Goo Gone is the best for getting the dried masking from brushes. I’ve also added all my live videos to my channel so that they are hopefully easier to find.
thank you for this!! So helpful!
Thanks for the tip! It works.

Cool. What was the last mixture you added after Goo?
