@@2oshowThe prices are just going to keep going up... Every time a state decides to pay crazy high minimum wages, it just makes everything get more expensive. Connecticuts minimum wage is 15 bucks an hour... Till January, then it's going to be 16+...
McDonald's, and everyone else, is just going to pass that on to the customer.

I'm cracking up thinking of a restaurant owner freaking out when he sees Daym coming to review his restaurant. But being recognized and not liking the food can be a good thing: maybe a restaurateur who was slacking on the food will be inspired to do better after Daym reviews their spot.

As someone who worked at McDonald’s, the quarters are never frozen and NORMALLY they’re supposed to cook them as soon as you order it. I say normally cause some of the cooks I worked with pre cook them before you even order it.

For example. They would have signs that clearly state that demon spawn children are not allowed in the Play place Unsupervised. And people would leave their demon spawn children in the Play place Unsupervised and when one of them fell off the slide and busted their head wide open they would sue McDonald's. Instead of reading a sign.

I slung burgers at McDonalds in the late 1970’s. The “System” in those days involved cooking in “Runs” of anywhere 12, 6 or 3 sandwiches. No microwave ovens ANYWHERE in the store!
The burgers were fresher then, but the manager on duty had to anticipate demand and make sure the pipeline is full.
A typical manager would ask for a run of 12 burgers. When the burgers were pulled off the grill, the grill person would call ask the manager how many were to have cheese and/or customizations. They would then dressed and wrapped by another teammate.
The old system was better, but it sometimes resulted in food waste. Unsold sandwiches could not remain under heat lamps for more than 20 minutes. If they did, you had to toss them out.

it is very sad that a BIG MAC has two 1/10th pound burger patties which equals 1/5th pound of beef and costs $6.09 tax included while the DOUBLE QUARTER POUNDER WITH CHEESE has two 1/4th pound burger patties which equals 1/2 pound of beef for just 90 cents more. What a shame! Back from 89-91 I worked the quarter pounder grill (and fryer) and our burgers came out fresh and seasoned right. Yes, they were frozen, but they were cooked right, seared and seasoned with salt and pepper and even as teen aged kids we took some pride in the way our food came out.. it looked good and tasted good. No microwaves or any of that BS.Buns were freshly toasted. Back when we still had the fried apple pies. If you ran the back line with the fryers the filet o fish had one, the pies had one and the McChicken and nuggets all had different fryers. Nuggets and McChicken went into a hot storage oven for no longer than 20 min and then got tossed. Pies had a 45 min life. Sandwiches were 15 min under a hot lamp. French Fries were still cooked in beef tallow.

I enjoyed it and learned a lot about how to work as a team. I don't think it the same now. It is not supposed to be a career, it is a way to learn how to work for a teenager, and then see you wages go to taxes. High five if you made a Mc DLT or a McRib!! Also we teens invented the Double Quarter Cheese for our shift meal and got busted for it!!@@Monster-o1q

McDonald's always gets bad reviews online. Basically because they have so many customers and people only post reviews when it's bad. Plus you've got so many different staff members who probably won't give a sh*t and the service isn't tip based even in America I don't think. So a lot of the time the people working don't care. As they're franchises it takes a good franchisee to run it properly and not just take people's money for terrible food. We all know McDonald's fries are good when fresh and the burgers aren't actually bad when made properly and hot.

There's zero excuse for fries to be cold at 10:30. They should be putting fries down at like 10:25 so that they come up right in time for lunch to start. And if it's not busy, they should only be dropping maybe one basket at a time.
And the double QPC has no excuse to not be fresh, since McDonald's has had corporate policy to cook all quarter pounder meat to order since at least 2018.
And pies? Those should be going in for lunch at like 10, since they have a four hour hold time.

Minimum wage isn’t the problem. I live in Daym’s state and can tell you firsthand this is not done at random. Our government does it using the cost of living as their basis while other states stagnate. It’s why the estimated living wage in CT is closer to the minimum wage than states where the federal floor prevails.

I have lost 45lbs eating just the qtr lb patties the last few months. My location near work makes them fresh per order almost every time. If you order a double 1/4 lb burger usually the beef is cooked fresh. Depends on location and management. Holding drawer only got 1 patty? They make a single qtr pounder and the next double is fresh. I might get one patty out of 4 not stupid hot and dripping grease by the time I drive back to work 2 mins away. Not all McDonald's are run the same, most seem to be on struggle street for real tho' 😕

I don't even like McDonald's bro. But occasionally I get some nuggets and fries I live right across the street from it on MLK. I've never had complaints about their food. And the workers are very friendly. Thanks brother

Mcdonald's fries haven't been good since the late 80s and early 90s when they changed the way they fried them. They to fry it with beef tallo. They stopped using it because it was very fatting. 😅 All their food is fatting.

Why would the food come out cold if you come in right as it is ordered? Maybe shave, at least some, dye beard, add some hair on your head? They might not say anything when they recognize you.

3:58 - They are McDonald's, them like Apple don't NEED to change anything or cater to you the customer, they are huge and will be fine without a few of us customers they wronged! They should do better and change things here and there (especially Apple, coz they are the worst sort of evil) but I digress...
