ACT is much better and wont let your one weakness steal away your strengths, SAT needs you to be perfect, its super easy to get 32+(for harvard) in ACT but not 1540 in SAT
The "brutal curve" isn't the College Board's fault. That just means that the questions on this particular test were actually easier, which is why each question you get wrong punishes you harder. The tone of this comment really seems like Yash just wants to let off steam and is looking for excuses on why they didn't do well.

Well, not any REA or SCEA schools for sure. EA plans that are STATE schools and not private schools are almost always ok, of which there are very few that tell you anything before Jan 1 (notably U Mich but really only if you are way early. They deferred almost all my students who procrastinated on turning in their early apps-- I think bc they were overwhelmed and didn't have time to read all the apps they got. Some of these kids ended up in top 10 /Ivy schools). The other top 30 or so that are permissible I name in the video (Georgia Tech, UVA, UNC). The place you MUST look though is the particular rules for your ED school. THAT is the place to start. Then if they say you CAN apply EA, or do not specify you can't, you could then apply to the non-REA EA schools (I.e. MIT, Cal Tech, etc.-- middle list on that slide in the middle of the video). However, the non REA early schools generally don't confer as much of an advantage to applying early. You can (As of now maybe it will change) apply ED to Penn or ED to Brown,then EA to MIT and EA to UMich, for example but not also REA to Harvard.

Not at the same school . You will be accepted, rejected or deferred to the regular pool as an early applicant. If rejected, you cannot reapply to the same school that year. You could try to appeal the decision but very few schools accept appeals (most that do are non-EA state schools). For EA, if deferred then you are in the regular decision pool at that point.

One company isn't controlling it. The ACT exists also, and is equally accepted at universities

Your point is correct when it comes to Early Action, but Early Decision has the advantage of showing a school that they are your top choice.

Yes -- but you can only apply early to private colleges if you aren't doing "Restrictive" early somewhere else.
