11:08 YAAAAASSSS! I think you two are the first ones that I've heard say this about Radlands. I completely agree and I don't know why it's never even a point of consideration with those that have played it!
Just note that this is still reactive! Often you'll have a plan and then you have to react to what the other player does, but as we said it is much less frustrating- probably because the whole point isn't combat like Radlands
We have! I think we need to give it another go, but both of us never quite got on with it. It always felt like it was missing something, and I'm a big LOTR fan, so that was strange. We much preferred SW Rebellion.
I'm very excited for Ironwood!! Root is my favorite game (yay asymmetry!!), and I love Radlands too. Just got the notice yesterday that my pre-order is shipping soon.
Such a great game. Interesting you thought Radlands I was thinking Root lite. I love that I can get this to the table easily. My wife won our first game as I spent too much time teaching and no time playing. Cannot wait to play again. Great review!!!!!!
Thank you! Tbf, that's an accurate comparison! I think Root is more of a slow burn where it's usually a while before your opponent is directly annoying you, but here it's almost like that from the get go!

This seems to be a very popular take!
You expressed very well what I dislike in Radlands. This convinced me to give this a shot because I hated how limiting and reactive Radlands was.

Out of curiosity, have yall played War of the Ring (2e)? Obviously much heavier, but I find that hard to top in 1v1 play.

This review seals the deal! Thanks for sharing your opinions. Goodbye Radlands, hello Ironwood :)
You are most welcome.

Then I would be very surprised if you didn't love this!

Yeah, your comparison made way more sense! 😂
