Yeah I've been calling out Blizzard's blatant stawmanning for over a decade now. They keep failing at basic storytelling and keep being given the "but it's a MMO" excuse. Like F'ers the Teen Titans never died, and always won in the end, but they still suffered failures, loss, and had their own ideals proven.wrong and challenged, and they were a "kids show". Blizzard either give us some world building quests to show us that these "amazing leaders" actually give a crap about their followers (Genn Greymane has 0 post cataclysm quests to help the gilnean refugees and those people have been homeless on the streets for how many years now thanks to Blizzard's writing?) Or at least make these main stories as actually have some more depth to them, like DF is the step in the right direction but the straw man factor is still too strong that everything is just bland and predictable.
@@codyraugh6599 Kid, you got ZERO clue what story telling is. You are ruined by cheap and stupid Hollywoord and Anime bullshit, the worst writing in existence.

And all it took is Fyrakk being slightly more unhinged than normal to change her mind? Kinda lame imo
They are focusing on Fyrakk 100% rn. which I guess means moving things involving that story. Vyranoth already is at odd, so I guess her flip is more sudden given the next update(s), and the last few are all Fyrakk focused
eh he pretty much went batshit insane after drinking the shadowflame, before that he seemed aggressive and impulsive but still solidly aligned to the general principles of the Primalists. but now he is very obviously corrupted and without Iridikron to keep him in check and with him already straight up attacking her it makes sense for her to search for other ways to prevent him from becoming a worse problem for the world than the Titans.
Bro iridikron fucked off thru a void gate and convinced her brother to consume shadowflame and essentially manipulated fyrakk into getting corrupted. Vyranoth doesnt like us, but the fact her character aint stupid and sees that we are the better side in this conflict is refreshing imo
@@ultralance7470 Going after a titan device that transports the whole elemental planes into the world would be a good story beat. Instead, Blizzard crappily tries to tie expansions into each other, but they can't and should stop trying. Fyrrak going after the Ardenweald tree is also a lazy rehash of the Mount Hyjal plot in Cataclysm. What is more stupid is that going after the Hyjal tree would do more for them because it's fully grown and destroying it would free the powerful water under it, as well as cut off the Emerald Dream from Azeroth which would allow the elements more free range. The primals also don't do fel or necromancy, so the night elf souls won't give them any power, and Fyrrak is confused.
Well I think he is just fine. I think it is implied thru the symbolism of a seed capsule that the souls are no longer individual lives that can be returned. Rather, they are one single Kaldorei soul that is now being transferred to the dream to grow a new world tree directly from the dream. So forelands and Druids makes sense. They are trying to corrupt the balance of nature and change it to their bidding, no one really knows what that would like. You could argue buzzard will write it so if Fyrakk takes over, more fire elementals can cross over into our plane. Or burn the dream plane into the fire plane. I will agree that the story is rehashed as far as the season goes. But the vyranoth changing sides thing was pretty impactful. I think it suggests blizzard wants to right a more intuitive plot rather than just shadow is bad light is good. Dragonflight has shown us that characters can be humble and choose unity rather than war and violence for the greater good of Azeroth. It’s actually pretty heart warming to see. To me it seems that the plot is mending, albeit slowly. I still think wow would benefit the most from a true universe reset though. My thought is this next expansion after would be the perfect time. Make iridikron do something world ending shit that brings us to the end of your void war. Make 11.0 the last expansion with the void war and then we “win” by resetting the whole universe. I would love to see something like that
@@colbymcallister77 I think such a device is dumb too, but I was thinking more along the lines of what Blizzard would do. Just as dumb as Deathwing's power glove, admittedly. An Aspect, a powerful leader can't maintain discipline, he needs mind control magic. It's very silly. Ideally, the primals would break into any titan archive they can find to learn how Helya made the elemental planes, maybe invade the Halls of Valor, but I know Blizz would prefer a simple macguffin with no antecedent.
My initial prediction was that Vyranoth would be sided more with Fyrakk and Iridikron yet passive to us, only really turning into a proper enemy if/when we kill Fyrakk, seeking revenge for his death. Turns out I was wrong only in that I had things flipped. She was more passive to her brothers and only decided to turn when Fyrakk went over the deep end. A lot of the prt leaks showed us that despite her general animosity for the aspects and their flights, Wrathion take the time to actually talk to her, to know her, and even tells her of the flights that exist outside the aspects' influence.
The music in Tyr's Guard scene is one bit of Storm Peaks' theme. 🙂Which is, honestly, unsurprising, given that Storm Peaks held quite a few references to Watcher Tyr.
@justinb7494 Cenarius is a Wild God which would make his children/grandchildren (aka the Keepers and Dryads) demi-wild gods. Unsure about the previous Ls but Fyrakk being a proto-dragon infused with shadowflame likely puts him at near level to one of the Aspects. Ysera was known to be more powerful then Cenarius, so if Fyrakk could give a Aspect a run for their money I sincerely doubt a Keeper is going to do much here.
He literally went back in time to where Galakrond died and siphoned the power from his corpse into a device similar to the dragon soul, then went through a portal with Xal'atath very obviously standing there on the other side of it. Deathwing almost destroyed Azeroth by himself, barely using any void magic. Iridikron has quite literally weaponized the void and is working directly with an old god that is not imprisoned like N'Zoth was when Deathwing happened. If Deathwing did all that and he wasn't even an incarnate then imagine how exponentially more powerful Iridikron is having siphoned the magic from the most power dragon that ever existed, and giving it to the void. If we were of any consequence to Iridikron he would have just killed us at the beginning, not just distract us with Rasz, Fyrakk and Vyranoth.

My personal guess is that Vyranoth will become... somewhat less openly hostile opposition. Still dedicated to removing the Titans taint as she sees it, but she won't just replace it with eldritch void bullshit. A clean war really.
It would be so cool if she was a dark troll, Idk if there were any who were maybe still influenced by the well of eternity but not a full transformation that would be really cool, or maybe she chose her visage before the dark trolls fully evolved into the night elves, and just stuck with it. because the point in time this seems to take place is at some point in the past after deathwing's betrayal when the black dragonflight were basically wiping out most of the other dragonflights so it must have been after the sundering when the night elves already were ruling for a very long time. itd be so interesting if that turned out to be true or partially true!!!
Probably not even worth his time. Iridikron very clearly possesses exponentially more power than any of the others did, hence why they so willingly followed him. He's working directly with Xal'atath, safe to say he's beyond caring about peons like Fyrakk who were a means to his ends.
This is why Chromie said "It depends WHEN she has the disc" because it could be before Elisandre took the deal with the legion or shortly after, but sometime before we took her down.
Somebody didn't pay any attention to the entire patch. Every bit of its content involves time travel, and the dungeon literally took us back to right after Galakrond died, where Iridikron took the hunger magic from his corpse and fucked off with Xal'atath.
I still don’t get how Alexstrasza failed her people. Its completely different from what lore we’ve had for years points to, what Dragonflight: Legacies even points to, that the ascension into dragons (earlier than theyd evolve into them anyway) was a gift, and taken gladly. I’m fairly certain even the old novel touches on that. Granted, its not as blatant and aggravating as what Shadowlands did, but is not sitting right with me
jfc this game is losing all it's teeth, mine as well go play hello kitty island adventure. "no bad thing can ever happen and if it does we should change it cause life should be like living in candy land" if they go ahead with that change, the bronze dragons go from dutiful protectors to a group of deus ex machinas and a tool for them to purge the past lore they now view as problematic
Just wondering. 1:27. This ice creature is mentioning some "vile abomination" with the captured deer-druid-shit in front of her. Isn't it a bit weird to say something about abominations while seeng this filthy beast (the ex-deer-druid itself).
I absolutely adore the lore, story, characters and world building of this series. Started playing around the beginning of Wrath and been hooked on the Warcraft Universe. But I'm so burnt out on the gameplay at this point that it's impossible to justify paying the monthly fee to be apart of it. The quest design is what really kills it for me. Some quests are amazing like the ending to the Wrath Gate. But after the 935th "Go here and kill these guys oh and pick up all this random crap" it feels repetitive and dispassionate. I hate quests that exist just to pad gametime and interrupt the quests you actually want to get to with meaningless chores.
2:03 story is, of course, nu-blizzard trash but this is always an interesting dilemma, obviously waved off here. Pragmatists/hypocrites view adhering to principle(s) as shackling, rather than sustainable. For example not killing (excepting retribution) is a solid principle because free killing = unsustainable but the hypocrite will say "not killing (not as retribution) makes my life harder so I toss out the principle" adopting and subjecting himself to the new principle of free killing.

I think if they had 1 last confrontation, like in the story leading up to 10.2 it wouldn’t have felt so jarring
You people make comments like this every single time, like you don't know that they will only tell us the full story in the novels as they have done for years and years and years. I literally cannot fathom how anybody can be surprised by this anymore.
Love the cutscene with Nozdomu and the whelp but the scene with the incarnate I really feel like it's being rushed all over again and whatever happened to the dracthyr? I thought her realization would have taken a little bit longer or at least like a couple expansions but it feels like they're doing the same thing what they did with neltharion's laboratory really not giving us a moment to like prosper what's going on
Because the writing is garbage and this has become a product cycle and nothing more
If play the game and watch the Aberrus cutscenes they tell you that the split between the dracthyr is being dealt with. Since half of them went along and follwoed sarkareth. It's not rushed, Vyranoth is watching Fyrakk do the same thing the Titans did to dragons and she's not going to support that. She just wants everyone to be able to make free choices without some puppet master.
I mean I saw Vyranoth joining us coming but I thought that'd be later, I can't say I expected freaking Elisande to come back into the plot though, I guess we'll be fighting her again (though it'll probably be a quest or dungeon this time)
Don't think she's joining us outright. This may simply be a temporary alliance against Fyrakk who pulling the same BS the Primalists were mad about in the first place.
This was so cool! I can’t wait to see it ingame.

We all suspected Vyranoth would help us at some point, and I think that's fine. But like, already? A few cinematics ago she was telling Alexstrasza that what she did was unforgivable, and that all she felt towards her was vengeance and anger. And all it took is Fyrakk being slightly more unhinged than normal to change her mind? Kinda lame imo
More terrible writing from the idiots at Blizzard.

@@VegetoStevieD I recommend rereading what I wrote
Them going after the new tree is as stupid as Zovaal going after the world soul.
But how…. What else should they go for??
I would love to see something like that
Lol why would the titans make a devise that transports the elemental plane onto Azeroth
That would be a even worse plotline

The spoiler level of the title is over niiiine thooooouuuusands!
the wow version of starscream?
The keepers are supposed to be demigods and be powerful right so why do they keep Ls instead of groves
It’s honestly crazy how easily influenced so many of these higher beings are.
I like your videos but im confusing every time i watch them.. they are not in order..
looks like fyrakk will become corrupted by shadowflame.
he already got corrupted by shadowflame back in 10.1 when he bathed in shadowflame infused lava in Zaralek Cavern
so, we hype up Iridikron to be a really really bad guy, but he just boops away?
Right, okay.
He fled somewhere, presumably we'll fight him in a next expansion. Are you capable of critical thinking ?

Is eternus a night troll
It would be so cool if she was a dark troll, Idk if there were any who were maybe still influenced by the well of eternity but not a full transformation that would be really cool, or maybe she chose her visage before the dark trolls fully evolved into the night elves, and just stuck with it. because the point in time this seems to take place is at some point in the past after deathwing's betrayal when the black dragonflight were basically wiping out most of the other dragonflights so it must have been after the sundering when the night elves already were ruling for a very long time. itd be so interesting if that turned out to be true or partially true!!!
Calling it now, Iridikron kills Fyrakk
Probably not even worth his time. Iridikron very clearly possesses exponentially more power than any of the others did, hence why they so willingly followed him. He's working directly with Xal'atath, safe to say he's beyond caring about peons like Fyrakk who were a means to his ends.

im a bit confused, didnt we kill elisande at legion?
Granted, its not as blatant and aggravating as what Shadowlands did, but is not sitting right with me
Oh lord not Elisande LoL
jfc this game is losing all it's teeth, mine as well go play hello kitty island adventure. "no bad thing can ever happen and if it does we should change it cause life should be like living in candy land" if they go ahead with that change, the bronze dragons go from dutiful protectors to a group of deus ex machinas and a tool for them to purge the past lore they now view as problematic
Nothing like using betrayal for an easy plot twist.
Fyrakks design with the face is screaming starcraft vibes.
