    I see your helper doesn't need a cheater bar and you do. Guess you didn't eat your Cherrios this morning. Well done video, thanks, cause I intend to do a similar system this Spring and you instruction is valuable.

    Stiffer is way better for the bottom of the hole!

    I like the diy video series so far. Is nice to see an install from the beginning than just the end product. My boss an electrical contractor is wanting to install a ground mount system for his future solar array. I like the use of the 2" rigid pipe for the poles, we might use rigid for the poles and horizontal rails, but thinking we might use some deep uni-strut for the panel rails and rigid pipe straps to mount to the pipe, the cost might be cheaper than the railing system your going to use, what is the price tag for the rails your using as compared to 10' of unistrut? What is the price for the dc optimizers your using and is there a reason your not using panels already integrated with them like the Axitec AXIplus BLK SE AC-270P/156-60S 270W Poly Solar Panels? Cool project, keep up the good and hard work!!

      At least once in the previous video, I made a mistake and called the pipe "iron" - which is not correct. Just to be clear, it's schedule-40 galvanized steel pipe (which I got from Home Depot). Importantly, it is not tube or conduit. "Ironridge" makes components used with both 2" or 3" steel pipe but they are not interchangeable, of course. Apart from the pipes, I purchased nearly all the major equipment through a distributor in California by the name of "Renvu". I had to negotiate on freight shipping, but I think they've worked out a better shipping arrangement since then. I would do business with Renvu again, but I would ask them to wrap the rails better for shipping because some of the rails got really scratched up. I spray painted the scratched rails with rust-o-leum and they ended up looking fairly good. I do like the Ironridge system; I haven't worked with any others.
