Evidently a man even the Hatfields respected, Doc went and fixed Cap up and avoided more bloodshed. Great story and seeing his resting place and where he lived was really cool. It woulda been great if his grand daughter woulda agreed to be on camera. Thanks Leo!
Leo, you do know how to tell a great story! You really had my attention glued to your video. I have a feeling, that if the Hatfields and the doctor went at it, they may have gotten the doctor, but the doctor would have taken more than a few with him. Thank you very much for a fascinating story Leo and Heather. 😊
This video is a gold mine Leo! Thank you ever so much for this piece of WV history, Doc Baisden was a colorful character. My goodness what a story! What a story, Leo!!!
What an incredible find! Thank you for your determination and perseverance to get the story. Most would have given up. I would love to hear the Baisden family story! Keep up the great work!
I just happened to run upon this channel today and so far i just been watching all I can . I just love it. Seems like I can't get enough. Thank you so much for sharing these.
Great story guys. Appreciate all the effort ya'll went to, to bring us this story. It kinda sounds like a BIG story could be don on the Dr.. i really enjoyed your story about him. I guess theres a lot of families that had a man like this in their past. You hear stories all your life, and think that some of it is a little bit blown up to make the story better sounding. Then you get some true facts, and find out this person was truly bigger and badder than was ever imagined. One of those people that you definitely call Mr.. Ya'll did good on this un ! Thanks a bunch to both of you. God bless ya'll for all that you do. Stay safe on your travels to these beautiful places.
What a amazing story. That Dr Harrison shot. Cap Hatfield and then saved Cap life. What a piece of history. Thank you Leo this is very interesting story. R.I.P Cap Hatfield and Dr Harrison
Grass is so green down there. It’s been a very dry summer in Minnesota. If you don’t have automatic sprinklers for your grass. We had brown grass already in May. Dry fields for farmers. Terrible. Lovely area down there. I’m so glad you found him. Sorry it took you so long on your wild goose chase. Doc was quite the guy. Can’t say he had a boring personality. Absolutely fabulous story.
Thanks Leo for another great story I never heard of this person he must of been one person who people wouldn't mess with I never realized there was another feud do you know how long it lasted it would make another great story who he and his family had a funded with
Thanks for sharing the video Leo. Great video. Very neat character. Shame his great great great granddaughter didn't want to be on camera. I'm sure she was interesting to talk to and I'm sure she has some more family history. Y'all take care.
It was the fact that he was the only medical person within a couple of days ride is why he didn't get messed with... Besides... He was smart enough to go do what he was told to do when he shot Cap.... Or he'd of been dead right then...
Could I get your email? I have got loads of ancestors from that area and ran into a interesting story about my 4x grandfather James Baker, I'd love for you to read the little tidbit it's enjoyable.

Hi, Leo and Heather!
Hello!
Now that would be an ideal spot to live, right next to the highway, alongside a train track, a cemetery in your yard, in a holler, with a creek 😂

Devil Anse didn't seem interested in pursuing the matter so long as Cap survived. I doubt the reason was fear.
