After *several* rewatches I noticed that in the previous wounded vampy boi audios, he told us he was well-- OLD and in this audio i was able to pick up on his usage of non-modern words and holy shit. i know pretty much everyone here wants the Listener to turn into a vampire, but i actually hope not?? im so weirdly endeared to the idea of a vampire actually convincing a human to stop wanting to be immortal a'la Tuck Everlasting. the idea that he did it, isnt this what he wanted?? he wanted the Listener to be persuaded and he persuaded them, so why is he stinged?? im just so irreversibly in love with the idea of fragile yet persistantly strong human having the gall to step out of their door to meet immortality and whisper "no" so lovingly, with both hands on his face; no to eternity, no his way, no to his ultimatum, no to their inevitable seperation. i am so oddly hopeful about that not being the end, not their permenant one anyway. tugging strings pulling them back together after weeks of attempting to cut then off; the man time couldnt move brought to his knees by the mere ache of wanting to see his first real friend in centuries, wanting to watch The Office on their couch, wanting to judge their taste in convenient store snacks. i think that's such a pretty thought. to watch the timeless fight against and lose to the desire to want be both dated and present. i think thatd be pretty damn romantic. again, it's a pretty thought to think so. i wish i could believe it was what's going to happen next. alas

You’re essentially giving up everything that you are. You will lose every thing you know because while time moves forward, you’re held back. agreed. i can barely stand being alive and im not even out of college yet, i cant imagine how much worse it would be if i was IMMORTAL. and imagine how complicated being immortal must be in the modern world with all the legal documents needed. how would you even go about getting your documents when youre like 2000 years old? do you just disappear for a few decades then return to society and forge documents? or do you not interact with the outside world at all and stay within the supernatural/vampire circle for as long as you live? doesn't sound like a life i'd want to live
