@@3am666 glad you enjoyed it 🙂yes, we do have a HOYD member of staff but i believe they influence the quality of the youth intake each year. I'm doing way more than that but i couldn't think of another job title that easily summed up what i'm trying to do with this save!
I thought football manager was just a club head coach game. But now I see Director of Football, Football Agent modes, now Youth Development! I could never have thought about these in a million years🙌
I already had a search set up for my DoF save where I could filter by a staff members preferred formations, playstyle, etc so used that. I spotted it had gone from the usual screen though so will have to see if there's an easier way to find it!
@@gamestellstories glad it’s still in the game and had enjoyed the series last year enough to want to try it myself, if you wouldn’t mind showing how when you do post your new series that would be great.
In FM23 I would wait for the staff to suggest in weekly meetings that someone is ready for the step up, and then move them over. Haven't got that far yet to see how it will go in FM24, we'll find out soon I hope!
I don't think so I'm afraid, I've given it a try but there isn't the same level of control available over the reserves in the console version. You can play as DoF though if you're looking for something a bit different, most of those principles still work on console
Generally it is a bad idea to move players aged 17 or younger away from the U18's. But this is obviously an abnormal case. You probably hire staff that have a great Working With Youngsters attribute etc.
@@gamestellstories I know 25 will have a graphical overhaul, but I kind of hope they keep details like that, even if it's just a rare easter egg for long time fans lol
FM24 is here! So who's tempted to play this way, and what else would you like to see me explore as the Head of Youth Development?
Oh, this is going to be fun. Question... Do you you still have a Head of Youth Development at the club? All the best.

Brilliant idea. Your DoF challenge last year was fascinating - this is shaping up to be even better!
Thank you my friend! Next episode coming soon 😊
Great video mate! Looking forward to the future episodes as this series has a great objective
Thank you 😊
Yay, new series 🎉🎉🎉
Hope you enjoy it 😄
Absolutely loved the DOF series on 23 so looking forward to this
Aww man I love this!! I’m going to try it when the full game released! Or maybe even now
Fantastic, let me know how you get on
Interesting idea dealing with the youth development
Very interesting choice for a save .
Thank you, I just hope Phelan does well enough with the first team so we can finish a season or two!
Hi Kirk, your ideas are a real added value for the FM. 3 games for the same price. Manager, DOF, HOYD...what's next ? Head of Pysiotherapists ? 😆
Haha! I'll see if I can figure out how to make that work... 😆
How did you know what tactical style to pick as I see the tactical style for assistant managers is now blank?

@@Freezebrain-fg4ym absolutely, that will be a key part of the first DoF video 😊
Do your players get promoted to the first team?

As good as the DOF version, however is the U21 really youth development, I would have thought it would be for U18/19s.
Thank you! Fair challenge there. it was initially going to be both, so perhaps I'll pick up U18 management in the next video as well 😊
Does with work on console?

absolutely, Working With Youngsters attribute was crucial in my hiring!
Is it really a Football Manager if grounds don't have random sheds in the background? 🤣
Haha, so true!
