Good video. I appreciate the comparison. I think that was a good point about if you haven’t tried square’s that paint gem being small would be a good starter set. I also appreciate that you let people know about the type of drills, acrylic or resin. I’ve been diamond painting since 2020 and when I first started, I didn’t see the difference, but eventually learned. I do like resin better, they shine more. My personal opinion is that I like when creators that are reviewing a product that they can let their viewers know which drills are being used. Some people don’t care but some do and the more information you can give your viewers, the better. A lot of creators always comment on the soft canvas or the plastic cover. But ultimately the end result is important to me, when I frame a dp, I can’t see the canvas, but I can see the sparkle or shine that quality drills have. I have quite a few make market kits and although they are cheap the drills don’t have that much shine to them. I will still do them but just won’t have as much satisfaction. Have a great day. 😺
I TOTALLY agree. I am always surprised when people buy the reeeeeeeally cheap kits and they look ... not great ... but they are still very happy with them. And that's great for them, but since I have worked with quality companies, I have a hard time going back to the acrylic waste. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I did the Make Market mushroom kit! I personally like it over the Paint Gem because yhe mushrooms are prettier. Only reason. I get that the Paint Gem mushroom set is more accurate, but i like color over more neutral colors.
They are reeeeeally nice. Just to do a teeny one in between, they honestly take an hour or so to complete one and you get that satisfaction from a completed project. Even BETTER feeling to finish a whole box!
What do the symbols look like on the Makes one? On Pain Gem they are very hit and miss in being clear. I’m doing one Paint Gem with the letters OCD all in a light ish blues with very unclear white letters. Flipping nightmare and to top it off I do have OCD so double Arghhhhh.
HI there! COMPLETELY understand. I think I must be lucky with the PaintGem ones I have done because they've all been crystal clear on the lettering/symbols. I just went and checked out the Make Market and I feel like some of their letters/symbols are a bit muddied and hard to read. Not all of them, but enough to be very annoying. I wouldn't let it deter you from trying them out, but I did see a few that tripped me up and I have 20/20 vision. So I imagine someone with slight or more serious vision impairment might struggle. Thanks for your question!

I can't wait to complete both and see which style I like better! Thanks for watching!
I like both sets . Even though the paint gem cost more initially i think it works out cheaper . You get double the artwork and a squishy 😊🎉❤
I tend to agree with you on that! And Paint Gem is responsible for my newfound love of square diamonds. 🤣
I’ve never done a paint gem before, I want to. Would be a good project between bigger projects.
