i was a 18 year old delivery man in Chicago when this album dropped. i played this album and Graduation and The Cool Kids all freaking day. best times ever.
I love the memories this joint brings. Reminds me of my summer holiday last year. Cruising down the seaside with my girl in that open top renta car. Sun shining down on us, this playing out on the stereo, the wheel in one hand and my girls hand in the other. Even though we were back at work the next week, i'll never forget that week away!
I've said it before, and I don't think I'll ever stop saying it; Lupe Fiaso is beyond amazingly talented. Lupe is big, but even after Lasers released, he's STILL underrated with all the talent he has. I love the way his flow is. I love the way you have to know things in order to understand what he's talking about. Unlike other people, he makes sense & knows exactly what he's talking about. He is the only mainstream rapper I will even listen to.
Lupe not even mainstream that's the bogus part about it...he's underrated cause he don't wanna be apart of the Mold these people are serpents he too real to be a snake
@@HokutoAnsatsuken surprisingly im in america for the first time in 5 years right now, and my sister welcomed me back home with this song! Japan is home for sure, and it's my favorite country ever. I loved living there so much. the people and the food were beautiful!
this song makes me emotional b/c i lost a friend a while ago and we used to listen to lupe fiasco old music and it brought us back to a very nostalgic time. i miss him and this sound of music. was so pleasant to the ear
@@ProfessorBelznot sure what happened 7 months ago when this comment was made but tyler came out on stage during Lupe's recent set at Coachella. He was performing this song and they danced around and rapped it together, there are clips of it on twitter and instagram. I had somehow never heard this song despite knowing kick push since my childhood! What a smooth classy track man so cool
I swear I love this song with a passion..it's so full of substance from the music to the lyrics everything just goes together of perfectly. Lupe you're one of the greats and one of my fav artists of all time and as much as I love kendrick Lamar whose my current favorite rapper I have to admit that lupe is a greater lyricist!
This is the Lupe I LOVE. Smooth, chill, classic flow of meaningful and coherent lyrics. Tie it together with a jazzy beat of the same caliber and you got yourself originality and style.
This was, and is a smart song. He mentioned places that a number of artsy African-Americans talk about with a variety of people; especially, if those people like manga, Anime, or bits of eitha' Brazilian or French fashions. Some underground artists in America might still jam to these lyrics. I do. I humbly thank God that Lupe opened doors, for others to feel less scared to talk about a few otha' languages/places. Tchau/ sayonara.
I was already a fan back then but guess I was too young did't quite get this.. Now I'm 20+ and finally start to appreciate this song. Glad I've been to one of his concerts back then.
Damn I miss low hair cut lupe...lol..He's still good, but his music was on another level back then..Maybe it's just nostalgia getting the best of me...
+Nerdbama Rich I agree. For me, it was his ability to say something of substance and tell wonderful stories that you could understand. Today's stuff is good, but it's meant to go over your head. Now we have to spend days on Genius to understand it
He just tweeted he's quitting and I was so upset Lupe meant so much to my childhood with tracks like this. I was sad he really just disappeared I didn't hear anything really about him since 2011. Wish he could have had a better end 😭. At least I can always go back to tracks like this I still love your music.
Lupe need to make a serious comeback, all this nostalgia is getting to me, you don't any hip hop as classy as this anymore, damn I miss this level of greatness.
@@Chicagomademe85 pretty much everything I've ever heard of Lupe is timeless there's really not a single song he's made that I don't like ... I know people don't like lasers... But I think it was good considering he had to compromise so much
Coming back to this classic is such a breath of fresh air. Never thought drill would still be on top 10 years later, and this type of hip hop would be in the backseat. I actually think drill is dope in its own way, but it's so negative. This song has such a good vibe ✨️
So proud of our young talent. Video is Obviously showing much love and loyalty to the American black Woman. Through beautiful images & representation of Black 🖤love ❤️ . Keep these positive visuals going. Thank you 🙏🏾

I was 21 when this song came out, and it still gives me an incredible feeling like the first time I heard it. Nostalgic.. where did the time go?
I swear I say the same thing. I really need to be enjoying life. It goes so fast. I was just 21, and now I'll be 34 in 18 days 🤦♂️ .
"I wipe the rain from my dear like Dasher" I finally just got that. Smh Lupe still dropping entendres even in his singles
He goes hard
It has a double meaning. I believe he's referring to Mad Dasher ponchos, and Dasher who's one of Santa's (rein)deer.
I could listen to this all day. Miss this vybe man. Lupe fan forever.
