I like when Maserati is not trying to hide anything. It’s a SUV. A sporty one. Happens to sound okay good as well. Not a high riding four door sloping roof or just a pure definition blunder.
I'd still prefer some hard buttons, but that center stack is beautiful. If controls must be touchscreen, that looks like the way to go. And no shift lever! Thank you, Maserati!! 👍
Already seeing these on the road. The trofeo actually makes a lot of sense. It’s a stelvio QV with air suspension and other interior upgrades. The 4 cylinder variants are a bit overpriced though.
@@nailil5722 they are on the same exact platform and the engines are pretty much the same and under the same group. The 4 cylinder just has hybridization and the 6 cylinder has a few small internal changes. You sound like someone who would deny that the mc20 was originally intended to be an Alfa 6C

Besides, it just looks so gimmicky and desperate to have an overly exaggerated facial expression in a thumbnail because it takes no time to do and just isn't very creative. I like your occasional photoshopped modifications to whatever car you are reviewing MUCH more as a "style" and I think it's just a more professional, mature, confident way of having fun with the thumbnails. I'm sure it was fun to do the whole "reaction face in the thumbnail" thing this time, but please trust me on this, you're better off sticking with your "normal" thumbnail style.
I would hope that it doesn't do that in the hardest suspension setting, if not I would hope the suspension could be modified to get rid of that. If it does that accelerating out of a corner it can become dangerous!

I am sorry, but after this review, I fell in love with that car. This car is bananas even if I am after Macan EV or Polestar 4 for 2024 I would like to have this car as a placeholder :D the rear seat space, boot attachment slides, locking button, a massive moonroof and the minimal amount of piano-black.. what not to love? Also, I love the part when you mentioned this start/stop button.. while it may confuse you on day 1, if you OWN the car, this is not an issue at all. LOVE IT!

Great Review as always! This is a £100k car in the UK. The blue paint is only £720. The Yellow that you liked is £21,400 !!!!!!! I'm sticking with the Alfa Stelvio Quad as it's 20% cheaper to buy and 100% cheaper to maintain.
Very impressive. Definitely one of the best overall. Everything about it is good. But… the price? Idk. It’s significantly more than I thought. Comes out to about 105k US. I was thinking more like 90k. It’s priced like an X5M instead of the X3M which is where it should be.
@@alexandercura1523 Porsche also has the advantage that Audi has a vehicle on the same platform that outsells the Porsche version, this new Maserati, and the Alfa it’s essentially based on combined by a pretty substantial amount.

Excellent review! I truly feel as though Maserati knocked it out of the park! I drove a Modena and loved it so I can only imagine the Trofeo! I’m really considering switching from Landrover to Maserati just to give this a try!
In the beginning seeing the Maserati driving towards us, I was thinking "why is the front lifted so high off the ground?" then I realized you were flooring it and there's so much power haha!
After years of M being discounted for low product quality and performance compared to the other premium makers, it is nice to see them return to the public eye.
I hope it gets the sales numbers it deserves. Especially for North America, where I think it makes a lot more sense compared to Europe. Too bad they don't update the Ghibli on the Giorgio platform. But apparently next year or by 2025 we should see a new Quattroporte that replaces both its old generation and the Ghibli and should be a bit smaller. Hopefully it gets the Nettuno and not just hybrid 4-cyls.

People don't really want to be dealing with mazerati's "great" reliability especially these days, at some point the beauty of the car isn't enough to ignore serious flaws, i hope I'm proven wrong and this was built better
This looks like a great vehicle. I ended up getting a 23 Macan GTS instead. I optioned mine out to $98k and got everything I wanted in it. This is $15k more than my Macan, which is why I ended up not going Maserati. I think they have priced this too high if they really want to sell a bunch of these.
@@glucia2223 I didn't know the price difference was so big in the US. In Europe the prices are almost the same for the GTS vs. the Trofeo with the same equipment (€114K vs. €117K). And also the 2.0L models have similar pricing. Prices are similar since the US puts tariffs on veichles originating from outside the federation, while in the EU we have Value Added Taxes from 18% to 27%, so prices end up being similar. (Doesn't account for car ownership tax, the cost of parking spots in cities, and immensely higher fuel prices). I think the Grecale is also more expensive because it just came out, while the Macan is out since 2013.
Uhh that price for the Trofeo is insane, 145k?!? You can pick up a RSQ8, X5M or a GLE63 amg for around that much. All those cars offer V8s, more interior space, more luxury and so on. The Trofeo should've cost 120k MAX
How reliable is this and resale value? If this is my 3rd car,I would buy it. Otherwise, I don't want it to be in the shop all the time. They must offer a loaner = value or higher grade car .. My 2 cents..
There's a ton of low-frequency drone coming through the in-car audio on this video, my subwoofer's going nuts. Was the car actually like that? Take the audio around 17:40 and put a low-pass filter on it with 100 hz+ removed, then turn up the volume a bit. It can get pretty intense.

I really like this Gracale Trofeo a lot more than I thought I would. The interior is awesome and great tech and MMI. Also sounds great and fast. Where it loses me is the price. As tested $105k US is ridiculous when you can get a nice Levante for about the same and much more room. Just priced itself out of the segment I'm afraid.
You would think that but Trofeos are sold out almost everywhere, as well as the Modena trims. This a whole new Masi setup so I’m not even surprised. Gotta pay for that Italian pedigree.
Love the shape, very similar to my dream car. Like the interior...not the lack of physical buttons, or piano black though, but the Stelvio reigns supreme in my eyes and still has me firmly in its icy QF grip.
Outside is a stelvio with different bumpers and a small change on door handles/rear door edge everything else is like stelvio. Sunroof is from stelvio, exactly the same, interior B pillar, a pillar and C pilar is also at least 80% from stelvio. door cards are not so stelvio :) but still many pieces resemble Suspension stelvio/alfa. Multilink system too Engine probably different! have no clue on that! Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, dressed like a pony? I do not know seems like is a heavily facelifted duck. I have a Stelvio, and I would easily go for Grecale for the extra feeling.

Oh was thinking of a cool skit. What if you guys do a thing where any car that has these dumb touch volume you see how long it takes to mute. You can also find out if there are any shortcuts to mute with one press or something similar. Seems a lot of new cars are doing this and if you are blasting music and need to talk to someone it really looks silly waiting for the volume to lower when you don’t have a knob.

Imo, these don't look as expensive as the Macan. I spent a week with all the Grecale models, and just had a new Macan for a couple days. Porsche just does it better. The grill on these is flimsy plastic. I do like this better than the Stelvio though. This is my favorite Mazerati, and would prob be my favorite mini ute if there was no Macan.

the material quality of a grecale is closer to an X5M than an X3. i think it's about where it should be. way more leather on surfaces than an X3

Maserati 3200GT from 1998 inspired this. I think Ford took inspiration from its old endurance race cars for the Puma headlights.

Levante isn't bigger inside in terms of space, the Grecale has really efficient packaging
Trofeo models are the only way to go in Maserati, but that’s my UA-cam commenter opinion. Levante interior remains outdated and disappointing.

Oh was thinking of a cool skit. What if you guys do a thing where any car that has these dumb touch volume you see how long it takes to mute. You can also find out if there are any shortcuts to mute with one press or something similar. Seems a lot of new cars are doing this and if you are blasting music and need to talk to someone it really looks silly waiting for the volume to lower when you don’t have a knob.

Lol and Puma literally copied body style of Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback entirely on the looks as well. Maserati has those lamps on all models at a time period the Quattroporte, Ghibli had those lil round lights and Grecale is a smaller SUV, you cant just make it exactly like other Maseratis design language and ofc nothing Ford alike. Check your eyes.

The headlights of the Puma is literally a copy of Maserati headlamps and all lights on Ferraris and Fiats having way before the original Puma hatchback lol! Then in your logic, all Porsches and Mini Coopers, Datsun, Alpines look alike and by saying they all look alike then you need an eye check-up dudez sayeshhh
Imo, these don't look as expensive as the Macan. I spent a week with all the Grecale models, and just had a new Macan for a couple days. Porsche just does it better. The grill on these is flimsy plastic. I do like this better than the Stelvio though. This is my favorite Mazerati, and would prob be my favorite mini ute if there was no Macan.
