Hello Heather and Paul. Let's see what Paul's dad brought in from the auction. Everything looks awesome.
Boy did y'all take me back a huge bunch of years.
The Wedding song on the blue carousel was actually the 'Skaters Waltz'. The word you were searching for Heather is corbal, however that is a decorative wall sconce for standing something on.
I was born in 1966 and I played with paper dolls as a child.
Paper Dolla were my favorite. I never liked Barbie.
That little beige dish from Roseville was made by Robinson Ransbottom Pottery company. A “decorator” would paint the picture with glazes. The glaze would often be a brownish pigment and would only see the real colors after the dish was fired in a kiln. The decorators were very talented painting with similar color glazes and had an eye for what turned what color in the firing process. I grew up in Roseville!! ❤❤❤❤❤. Very fun to see a piece of my hometown out your way! RRP was known for making various size crocks and bird baths. You might be familiar with their large mixing bowls that are creamy white with a blue stripe around them. In the early years there were large crocks -tall cylinders - that were glazed dark brown inside. Used to make pickles or sauerkraut. A big flat disk would lay on top pressing the produce down into the brine. Ahhh the childhood memories of watching my parents make that stinky stuff! 🤣🤣🤣 /Loved that fold out sewing cabinet!
Me and my sister had those the chatty Cathy pay for dolls cutouts we used to play with them all the time
I love my paper dolls had a shoe box full of cut out dolls
the metal box at the end is from "Lebkuchen Schmidt" in Nurnberg (german: Nürnberg). it shows some places of the city.. they make really good gingerbreads and ship them worldwide.
It is called a corbel usually used for decorative corners or if have a pair make a shelf with it.
These unboxings are my absolute favorites. So many interesting, unusual items. See ya tomnorrow at the auction.
Hi Paul and Heather I had paper dolls in the 1970s
Omg, my parents had something similar to that clock, speaker, radio....sat on their dresser for years.
Nor-a-tock-e is how you say the maker name on the little plate made in Japan.
Corbel
I believe they are called Corbals
They're those that nativity scene cheap carbs all kinds of different sculptures and statues and stuff and they're called The faceless I can't think of a full name but they're expensive
Don't be shy asking for thumbs up. Even the biggest resellers do it. I'm sorry I forget sometimes.
I never lived Chatty Kathy down. It was horrid. 50's and 60's. A teenager should never go through that.
Corral
elegant crematory urn
Love to get that product of Norway sewing chest basket. Some other cool items too
It's pronounced Nora Tok ki. They can go for a lot of money.
Cornice? For the clunky wall piece.
The hat box thingy stuuff looks like my junk drawer.
Roseville is a good pick up.
It's called a corbel
