Gf! If you don’t have one, GET A SHREDDER! Every item that comes in my mailbox that has our name OR address gets shredded. No sense in inviting or helping ANYONE get tour info. Every box (ordered stuffs) gets the label peeled, medicine bottles get labels peeled off and shredded. Even simple flyers or postcards but definitely bank offers. Shred it ALL!
That's exactly 100% what I do with EVERYTHING! I've trained my family to do the same thing, including like you said the packages we get the label peels off or cut and then shredded. I find a micro cut shredder to be the safest.

Prayers for your mom and her fur Babies I understand I went through that last year and lost 2 in one year and another one the year before that was seniors and I’ve had them from babies! I rescue critters and keep a feed/water station set up in the back of my car and go around taking care of strays daily! I just rescued a puppy someone dumped as well the day before one of my fur Babies 1st birthday so I think he thought he got a new sister (which he did) and toys and other goodie’s for his birthday!
