Just found your channel. I live in aus too so lovely to see another Aussie haul it’s crazy the price of groceries isn’t it? Just basic things have gone up like our toilet paper has gone up several dollars and you get less in it! Oh my goodness cheese is expensive too! I used to be able to do groceries between $150 to $250 but now per week it’s minimum $300! Great haul lovely!
Thanks for watching! Yes it’s crazy. It’s actually shocking to see how quickly we went from being able to spend $120 for the 4 of us to barely keeping under $250 for 5 of us 😬
Hello, yes it's ridiculous how prices Woolworths have gone up. So much. I love my sweets as well and the 360 g block of chocolate went up from five dollars to 6 dollars to 7 dollars now eight dollars. So ridiculous! :(
im from perth too, its crazy what $200 can get you :( i remember pre covid $200 would fill your trolley and then some. i was comparing the coles frozen chips the other day, pre covid it cost $2. Now its $5! I hope government gets to the bottom of all this price gauging!
Im struggling to understand, yes, food has increased in price. But treats are just that, treats. My treat maybe a wedge of brie or a bar of chocolate. You are s[ending a good 1/4 of yr budget on "treats". You will eat what you eat, crisps seem to be a daily thing for a lot of English people. Im more concerned about health issues and the lack of nutritional vale in yr shopping haul. Good luck, I dont think prices are coming down soon. As an ex Perthy maybe shop at Aldi, but I dont think they carry Pepsi?
The price of groceries in Australia is distressingly expensive right now. I see some essentials in your purchases, but I think you may need to cut back on non-essentials down the track if you are going to make it through financially. All the sugary drinks, the mass produced snacks and foods, are not good value for money or health. Even the orange juice that we would normally think is really healthy, has all the pulp (therefore the fibre) removed. I get that you are a mother of very young children and it is difficult to find the time and energy to cook from scratch while you are exhausted and just trying to scrape through (been there, done that with 5 children, and a few chronic illnesses on a single income). The point is, that eventually you are going to have to aim for less processed foods, more natural healthy ingredients and portion control in order to be able to feed your family in such a way as to promote healthy living, and a healthier bank balance. Illnesses cost money, so think future health. Well done to you for taking the initiative to make a channel, and provide a service to the public about grocery prices in Australia. Even if that wasn't your intention, it is happening, so thank you. If you are interested in seeing how it is possible to feed a family for around $300 per month, check out "The Cheapskates Club" website and YT channel. A silver membership is free. The platinum membership is about $30 annually, and I know some are going to say that is a lot out of your grocery budget, but you will save more than that in the first week, if you follow the advice given. The recipe file is enormous, as is the handy tip file, and there are so many templates and how-to's that you will soon see that you are getting a huge lot of resources in one place. This is not my website, I have benefitted a lot from learning the "Cheapskates way" many years ago. Being a Cheapskate doesn't mean you eat disgusting things, or have disgusting practices like I have seen on some TV shows either. We actually eat better than before, and much more healthy lifestyles. Check it out for yourself if you think you can see some value in this idea. Of course, all my recommendations are purely my opinion based on my own life experience. I don't expect you to do differently, if you choose not to. All the best to you and yours. 😀

@@thehomemakerdiaries also forgot to say excited for any Costco hauls!
Haha I love a good Costco run so I’m sure there will be lots!
Did you use to have a different channel?
Same channel just changed the name a few times 😅
Can I ask what your accent is? It is only Australian?? I’m in the uk and hear different uk twangs a lot 😂
I’m from Newcastle UK but moved to Australia when I was 8! Haven’t lost my accent yet! 😊
Cut out the soft drink and drink water, you will save a tonne of money and feel better
Pretty sure we all know this, calm down and buy what you want for your family, and do not worry about others.
I would stay away from Costco meat as much as you can. Their meat product handing is disgusting.
