@@tachyon8317 In fairness, French had some extremely complex designs for a lot of military vehicles. Or in some cases their military doctrine was not that great. I mean if we look at Tanks. You had a commander being the Loader, Gunner, Commander, and amazingly didn't ask the man to be the driver. Also, being how French Radios were utter shit or nonexistent. The literal translation of "infanta" is indeed "girl" in Spanish, though it is also used to mean the female children of the king/queen (infante being the male version). So the ship was named "Princess Isabel"
All you wanted to know about it and more courtesy of Wiki. Infanta Isabel (1889 - 1927) was a Velasco-class unprotected cruiser of the Spanish Navy. It was built at the naval shipyard at Cadiz. Her keel was laid in 1883 and the ship was launched on 26 June 1885. The vessel was completed in 1888 or 1889. She had one rather tall funnel. She had an iron hull and was rigged as a barque. Namesake Isabella, Princess of Asturias
Suggestion: go mini _Yamato_ and have main battery turrets fore-and-aft, with tall secondaries superfiring. That'll leave you a lot of unoccupied space around the sides of that to go nuts with even more secondaries and give you potent heavy calibre main armament to your front and rear. If you're fighting a vs-50 getting surrounded would appear to be inevitable.
I think it's really funny that your ship looks like it was ripped straight from warship gunner 2. I also feel like the biggest threat to your ship would be your own crews moral. Being fired upon by about 400-600 guns (assuming each ship has 4 main turrets in either dual or quad mounts) would probably cause havoc on someone's psyche.
I attempted this before watching how he did it, and our choices were similar, though I used 5 13" quad primaries and 5" dual secondaries, with 2x 5 torp launchers with max range. I also built it for speed, only took 3 torps from them, but was down to 63% hull after I got 2 flash fires somehow from their 6" guns. (Barbette 4, heavy shells, tnt propellant). Max speed was 30.2kts. Was nearly out of ammo on the main guns when I finished the last cruiser.
Hey there Stealth; just watched this video. I had a thought, when fighting multiple enemies like this again, don't focus only one one till it's dead, instead try spreading out your attacks to reduce their speed. About the tic tac toe vid : when torping , for better odds , you showld make a vic formation with the first plane to the target's aft and the last olane to the target's bow.
