Some of it could be, it’s end of year and business owners are buying to keep from paying everyone’s favorite three letter agency. Local dealer sold 4 to one buyer at once for that reason.
100% is this. My dealer had a limited king ranch and platinum on the lot for months. Within a week they all sold to businesses for the end of the year taxes. They all Paid full sticker.
I was planning to order a 2025 until Ford raised prices and decontented the truck. No entry pad is so dumb. So now I'm shopping other brands and looking at 2024s.
Maybe I’m old-school, (I’m 42) but I prefer the chrome. The move toward blackout-everything in recent years has been overdone, IMO. It’s a big reason why I canceled my order for a ‘25 Platinum and went and found a ‘24 Platinum on a dealer lot. I just think a big, high-trim truck looks better with a little chrome. Other reasons I bought the 2024 (besides pricing) were the removal of the tailgate-down camera and factory Securicode for 2025 (both awesome features I use and enjoy). I am surprised to hear some Platinum orders are arriving without the tailgate appliqué. That’s a new one!
Agreed. I love the look of a Standard Lariat Tremor with the chrome bumpers, but they have package discounts for Tremor plus the Sport Appearance or Black Appearance packages so none of my dealers ever have a Tremor with Chrome.
Prices need to go down, not up, my 23 xlt cc lb computer on wheels has 14,200 miles has already had fuel pump replaced & now battery totally dead. Yes, these things are covered under warranty, but why the heck are we paying more for inferior quality?? If i didn't need this truck for work, there is no way i would own it!! Even though i got a simple model truck, when the warranty is done on this thing, even though its a newer truck & I'm trying to keep miles down, theres a good chance this thing is gonna nickel & dime the crap out of me!!!! Should not be that way!! One of the reasons they keep bringing prices up is so they can keep paying for all the warranty work having to be done to these things!!
This may not make you feel better but man its every single brand right now. Just did a review on a 24 vs 25 Yukon...brand new 24 Yukon wouldnt even start. Bad battery. Unreal. Got a buddy with a 25 Canyon, heat doesnt work on it. Another friend with a 23 Toyota Tundra, motor bad. Post Covid quality is crap.
I know, it's pretty much everything at this point!! Seems like darn near everything is just an expensive non reliable money pit. Considering growing a beard, wearing burlap underwear & going Amish!! 😊
Just checked the 25 platinum models on the Canadian website and they all have the applique. Probably Ford is updating something on the US site over the weekend so it is acting up a bit.
The packaging that bugs me the most is the requirement of the black appearance package for the XLT Premium package. Goes from a $4100 option to a $9000 option, making it just as expensive as a base Lariat, but without dual climate control.
I just ordered a 2025 base Lariat and it was within $200 of an XLT with Black Appearance and Premium packages but way better equipped. Power driver and passenger seats. Heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, dual zone climate, wireless charging, Activ -X seats, etc..
They lost me as a customer by nixing the Supercab short bed. I figured it would happen with sales numbers at some point in time, but still a bummer. Suicide doors really work for me as a single guy. Used trucks for me from now on... better QC anyway!
@@CTECH-REVIEW Well, yes, but w/out the suicide doors. Their cabs aren't strong enough to go w/out the 'B' pillar. One might as well just get the full cab, if WB isn't an issue. Ford engineers do some great stuff!!
If you want to see how it really looks like, you need to look up "2023 F150 platinum blacked out" (2024 models of f150 no longer have it). The 2025 superduty will get the same type of blacked out applique.
I agree. What’s wild is besides Ram no one offering any sizable discounts on these trucks. Ford is offering $2k off for xlt and xl. GM is offering $1k off.
Who in the world would buy a pickup truck with anything but a 8 ft bed it’s a truck not a suv and I have bought 2 new Dodge trucks with 8 ft bed and the first one I bought was a 1992 2500 4x4 single cab with a 5.9 12 valve with locking hubs and a 5 speed manual trans and my second Dodge is a 05 long bed dully 4x4 and 4 door cab 5.9 and no locking hubs cummins 5.9 with 6 speed manual and manual 4x4 selector and I had a few people said why in the world do you keep buying manual trans and being a retired car hauler for GM because trucks have manual trans and a long bed and when did they change calling a 8’ bed as standard and now people saw a short bed is standard, when that change !’?
Some of it could be, it’s end of year and business owners are buying to keep from paying everyone’s favorite three letter agency. Local dealer sold 4 to one buyer at once for that reason.
I could absolutely see that!

installed passenger hub on my 2024 240.00 took about 5 minutes easy to do!
awesome, notice any difference in fuel mileage or driving manors?
@@CTECH-REVIEW i havent paid attention to mpg just did to save the wear and tear thanks

How are they selling SD’s if they haven’t resolved the issues they’ve had with the ten speed transmission and the cam/lifter issues with the 7.3 gas ?
Must be a rolling fix!
I just got $8500 off MSRP on my 2024 F250 STX in Oregon. Most dealerships here have $5000 to $11,000 off MSRP across all levels of Superduty.
Thats a great deal! Thanks for watching!
I just got $8100 off a platinum
Platinum DOES get the platinum applique. It's just blacked out. Change the color and you'll see it.
Sort of, some 25 Trucks are showing up and it doesn’t show platinum. It says super duty.

100% XLT premium doesnt make sense anymore, might as well jump to Lariat at that poing.

Yeah that's a tough one, I miss the supercab short bed too! Does anyone make a supercab anymore? Maybe just GM?

I still can’t believe how horrible these SRW SuperDuty’s look with those bed & bumper steps.
@@6.0Mike but man they are functional!
@ sure 👌🏻. Ford is laughing all the way to the bank.
The tailgate on platinum is blacked out on the base platinum. Change the color.
Blacked out and no longer says Platinum
It does say platinum. It's just really hard to see on the website.

No trucking on any lot is worth 80k or more drop the prices

I just bought a 2024 diesel AT4 3500 in VT for 8000 off.
Thats not bad!

What’s wild is the 6ft box is really 6ft 10 inches now! Truck got bigger!
The only ones that are selling or XL and XLT
Maybe because the $3k rebate on them?
I would say a lot of small businesses owners needed tax write off that’s why they are buying
Makes sense!
End of year. Business owners needing to spend money or pay taxes. Happens every year.
makes sense!
It's the end of the year, tax write off season!
good point!
It’s hilarious how many dumbasses buy this crap. Good grief. 😂😂
