This is the best review of the Lian Li XL I've seen so far. Thank you for pointing out the restrictions when it comes to fan selection and installation.
I am so happy that you review this case. I am planning to change my case and after watching others, none have spoken with so in-depth details. Good job Kleo, now I am able to watch this video again for further references. Thank you so much. 😍
Hi Nox mu, welcome back and thank you for your kind words 😊. If you need further details of this case. You can always drop me an email at godzylatech@gmail.com. I will try my best to aid you. Thanks again
The first O11D XL is better for 2 reasons: -Hot swap 3.5" drive bays with removable sleds on the exterior (rear) of the case - allowing tool-less removal -Access to reverse of motherboard through cutout without having to remove a motherboard tray from the system (although you do need to remove a HDD cage to get to it) - for cooler upgrades The O11D XL also allows you to choose where to mount the PSU (top, middle, bottom), whereas it's fixed to the middle position on the Evo XL. I also personally prefer thumbscrews to secure the very heavy GPU when mounting directly to the motherboard rather than the "tool-less" design that might not support it strongly enough and result in PCB cracks (common on the 3000 and 4000 series RTX cards) Very interesting video. Solidified my decision to keep my XL and not buy the Evo XL
Does the original O11D XL support upright GPU installation like this one does? Also, is there enough clearance at the top to mount a wider than average 360mm AIO(such as the arctic liquid freezer ii) AND have GPU mounted upright as well?
pc cases no longer provide any hard disk indicator light, but they offer every rgb color in the rainbow that can dance to any beat. Common sense and the adults left the pc industry years ago. Pc industry is virtually gone mad. SO that when you gpu dies but your pc is still running fine, now you have no way to tell, but you can admire the rgb Christmas lights.
Hi Jaskan Factor, welcome back. Not all cases are this way, but I have to agree, I personally will like to have HDD activities on my case. as for this case, the HDD activity LED is at the same spot as the Power button LED, the power button does light up and where there are HDD activities, there will be binks on the power button.
@@JaskanFactor I see, yup, besides from aluminium material to what they have done now (Metal), there are no changes on the headers for Power Led and HDD Led.
Hi Melvin Ooi, welcome back. I personally prefer to mount it vertically as compared to upright. at least there are two sets of cool air pulling in to the case. (Side and bottom)
I like the idea of the upright GPU also. It actually helps CPU cooling a lot if you use an air-cooler since hot air from GPU will not hit the CPU cooler then. Although many seem to think this is a case for water-cooling, it is a uniquely great case for air-cooling provided that the CPU is mounted upright. Upright mounting may not make much difference with water-cooling, however, since heat from GPU does not give as much an adverse impact on a water-block or radiator as it does on a (tall) CPU air-cooler.
Best review of this nice case. It is clear that the motherboard has to be max 280mm width. However does the same limit really apply to height? All the ROG Strix B650 boards are 305mm in height. Since the tray can be moved up and down I would have thought there is flexibility on the height of the motherboard?
You are the BEST pc case reviewer BY FAR. The amount of detail and configurations that you consider in your review is greatly appreciated. I have one question for you about this case though. If I were to mount a GPU upright on the side panel with the I/O facing downward, would there still be enough clearance at the top to mount a 360mm Arctic liquid freezer ii AIO? In other words, is it possible to mount Arctic liquid freezer ii 360mm AIO at top of case and mount the GPU upright at the side of the case together as single configuration?
Hi T.L Spitz, welcome to my channel. Yup you have more than enough clearance for a 360 Arctic Liquid Freezer II. 😉Thank you for your valuable feedback and all the best with your build..
