sand filling in the NPP Rooppur area carried out by RoinWorld

On March 2019 Roin World completed works at site #19.
First, we carried out geotechnical investigation of an experimental plot, followed by topsoil removal and sand filling, a total of 902.000 m3.
For hydraulic filling we used dredgers which conveyed sand through 6 pipelines to 39 15-layer fill maps.
Also we used cast-in-place concrete to carry out permanent slope stabilization a total of, a support unit included, 820 m3, in the area of 4.120m2 along the perimeter of 675m.
Over 50 items of equipment were used - excavators, bulldozers, rollers and dump trucks.
A grading and leveling site #19 has been a challenge from the very beginning.
Almost 1.5 years ago this facility was actually a river bed of the Ganges, a basin-like area that bordered with a 6 m dam on the south-west.
Roin World`s own laboratory engineers, together with site managers, took an active hand in supervision of soil leveling and compaction.
Site #19 is an integral part of the leveling and grading project which was launched last April.
