for the record. we live within close proximity to JoJo Siwa. My friend bumped into her and asked for a photo with JoJo and her 7 year old daughter. She declined rudely saying she doesn't do photos. My friends 7 year old daughter was devastated. So when this came out I couldn't help but laugh at the irony.
Candace is one of the classiest ladies I've ever seen. She didn't fire back, she literally, went out of her way to fix the problem. She generally cares about people. Well Done Candace!!!
Yup. There also seems to be an inverse relationship - the more they congratulate themselves for it, the less likely that they really are what they claim to be 😂
I noticed this too and honestly I think is because often times people who make this a big of a deal had no support and attention at home, so when when they start to get so much attention online, they become addicted to it, and eventually really obnoxious 😕

Then JoJo flashed the phone at the screen so quickly that she probably thought most people wouldn't be able to see it. Someone had to slow it down to make it out. Finally, it was anti-Christian-Conservative internet trolls that really blew the whole thing up because they'll take any ammunition they can get against a well known Christian Conservative.

I randomly met Candice, got into an elevator with her. SHE went out of her way to smile at me and strike up a little conversation. I didn't realize who she was until after when my husband asked if I recognized her. My impression was that she was so sweet and beautiful! I felt like I had just met someone I could be friends with!

Hey, at least she had the excuse of being a child. I know ADULTS who hear what they want to hear, if you don't do everything they want at the exact instance they want. Heck, I've even gotten into arguments with people that I said "I agree with you" to, and they still scream at me. It's insane.

He was hours late and belligerent. And refused people with backstage passes that they paid for. I don't think those people got a refund either. I didn't pay for the backstage (didn't know I could and in hindsight, I'm glad). I just heard that he was refusing people.
I met Candace at a wrap party in 1990. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I asked her for her autograph, which she gave without issue. She made small talk while signing and asked a couple questions about me. I grew up in the entertainment industry, and I’ve seen some rude people, but she was anything but and went above what most celebrities (even the nice ones) would do.

My daughter and l met Candace , my daughter has downs syndrome , my daughter was wearing an Aurora gown, if you have a child you know how attached they get to Halloween costumes. She said " l didn't know l was going to see a real princess today!" My daughter smiled, instantly got shy , and my daughter said " l am just a girl" ... As soon as Candace's apology and everything else came out, I laughed cause this whole charade completely backfired. Right from the beginning I knew this was political, everybody on the left was like "UH HUH! SEE! SEE?!?!" And the Candace apologized and the truth came out and now Jojo looks like the little brat she is.
I worked (long retired now) for 8 years on the Warner Bros lot, and I can tell you that there are a MILLION more rude celebs around than Candace. I've run into her only a handful of times and she's an absolute sweetheart. Her reply is genuine and speaks volumes to her actual character

I’m always curious how celebrities treat people who aren’t fans asking for autographs who they are generally nicer to in order to keep their “idol” status. The people working around them while on the job when the cameras are off, however, can be a very different story, and is more of a realistic representation of those they may deem “beneath” them.
My dad worked there too, for around 11 years I think, he said he’s seen a lot of actors. I never have though, but it was always cool to go on the lot and ride on the golf carts and stuff, and go to “Central Perk” and the commissary. Those were good times :’)
For real. Honestly, people only do it because they know they probably won't get pushback. It's one of the few examples of "punching down" that isn't popularly acknowledged as such. Same here, really but I'm more opinionated about the LGBT thing. I don't care what people do, just stop trying to wedge your beliefs into my life and law. Because I actually don't agree with gay marriage (it actually took me years to come to this conclusion on my own) it's somehow meaning I'm against the gay community. Not in the slightest! Everything is suddenly black and white to people who hear me. No, there are other reasons than "I don't like the gays." No. I just don't want the government involved with marriage because I don't want churches forced to go against what they believe in. If government stayed out of it, gay couples can still find churches that are welcoming of the LGBT community where the force of law isn't necessary. That's fine with me! Plus, why do people who go against religion or dislike religion want to force themselves into that religion? Marriage comes from religion! I have REAL reasons for the way I think but no, everything is black and white. If your Christian or Catholic and even worse, CONSERVATIVE, suddenly you're just evil and your intentions and opinions are evil. Suddenly you hate everything about gay people. Yeesh, disagree with me, that's fine, but good God I'm not trying to kill these people or condemn them. God help me for having a unique mindset against a cultural norm. Not even, I want that cultural norm to be more free in a sense! There are more problems we could be facing here but everything needs to be about them against us.
They can't comprehend that we can love and support them as fellow people, but that doesn't mean we will agree with or support everything they do. I'm not perfect, I have made mistakes and choices that have disappointed people, but those people still love me and care about me... and as a Christian that's the energy I strive to put out into the world.

But I argue that gay people have the same right to the legal benefits of a committed relationship if they so choose. It should have no impact on your religion or beliefs. I don't see how someone else's union should impact the enjoyment of your life and lifestyle you choose to live

I've met some truly rude, thoughtless celebs, since I'm a nerd/geek that used to haunt sci-fi/fantasy conventions. Let's just say I've seen a celeb melt down on a child fan because they recognized them by their character from a show that they loved, rather than knowing the celeb's real name. Years later it came out that a lot of horrible things had been going on in that celeb's life, and they were taking it out on the fans. Finally got help. It doesn't change the fact that he destroyed that poor child's perception of them, or, to be frank, my perception of them. There was another that took great pleasure in insulting every person in the elevator with them at one convention, then looked kind of wilted when my not-so-shy self gave them a verbal tongue lashing about being a petulant, spoiled, entitled, second rate, supporting-cast celebrity that didn't deserve the money that they were being paid to attend said event. Still can't stand that person. So, while I get the disappointment of not being able to get her picture taken with her, I have also seen FAR worse behavior out of celebs.

I met Candace at a wrap party in 1990. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I asked her for her autograph, which she gave without issue. She made small talk while signing and asked a couple questions about me. I grew up in the entertainment industry, and I’ve seen some rude people, but she was anything but and went above what most celebrities (even the nice ones) would do.

As soon as Candace's apology and everything else came out, I laughed cause this whole charade completely backfired. Right from the beginning I knew this was political, everybody on the left was like "UH HUH! SEE! SEE?!?!" And the Candace apologized and the truth came out and now Jojo looks like the little brat she is.
I worked (long retired now) for 8 years on the Warner Bros lot, and I can tell you that there are a MILLION more rude celebs around than Candace. I've run into her only a handful of times and she's an absolute sweetheart. Her reply is genuine and speaks volumes to her actual character

I’m always curious how celebrities treat people who aren’t fans asking for autographs who they are generally nicer to in order to keep their “idol” status. The people working around them while on the job when the cameras are off, however, can be a very different story, and is more of a realistic representation of those they may deem “beneath” them.

Same here, really but I'm more opinionated about the LGBT thing. I don't care what people do, just stop trying to wedge your beliefs into my life and law. Everything is suddenly black and white to people who hear me. No, there are other reasons than "I don't like the gays." No. I just don't want the government involved with marriage because I don't want churches forced to go against what they believe in. If government stayed out of it, gay couples can still find churches that are welcoming of the LGBT community where the force of law isn't necessary. That's fine with me! Plus, why do people who go against religion or dislike religion want to force themselves into that religion? Marriage comes from religion! I have REAL reasons for the way I think but no, everything is black and white. If your Christian or Catholic and even worse, CONSERVATIVE, suddenly you're just evil and your intentions and opinions are evil. Suddenly you hate everything about gay people. Yeesh, disagree with me, that's fine, but good God I'm not trying to kill these people or condemn them. God help me for having a unique mindset against a cultural norm. But I argue that gay people have the same right to the legal benefits of a committed relationship if they so choose. It should have no impact on your religion or beliefs. I don't see how someone else's union should impact the enjoyment of your life and lifestyle you choose to live

I've met some truly rude, thoughtless celebs, since I'm a nerd/geek that used to haunt sci-fi/fantasy conventions. Let's just say I've seen a celeb melt down on a child fan because they recognized them by their character from a show that they loved, rather than knowing the celeb's real name. Years later it came out that a lot of horrible things had been going on in that celeb's life, and they were taking it out on the fans. Finally got help. It doesn't change the fact that he destroyed that poor child's perception of them, or, to be frank, my perception of them. There was another that took great pleasure in insulting every person in the elevator with them at one convention, then looked kind of wilted when my not-so-shy self gave them a verbal tongue lashing about being a petulant, spoiled, entitled, second rate, supporting-cast celebrity that didn't deserve the money that they were being paid to attend said event. Still can't stand that person. So, while I get the disappointment of not being able to get her picture taken with her, I have also seen FAR worse behavior out of celebs.
