Unlike some of the other comments, I think 43% cripples Aberlour 18. I'm talking about the old oloroso but I imagine it's the same for this. I do have a blockbuster Aberlour in the bunker. It's a distillery release 16 year Oloroso single barrel, bottled at cask strength . The colour has to be seen to be believed and it is natural and non-chill-filtered. I've had it for about 8 years and I'm too scared to open it. It's a dream bottle for an Aberlour fanboy.
Agree. At least they bottled at 43 and not 40. 46 would have been much better, but it’s an economic thing. Cask strength for me is always a winner. Thanks for watching. Let me know when you crack the bottle.
This is a delicious scotch and 43%ABV isn’t zero alcohol! It’s still a substantial amount of alcohol content. In Canada it’s $240 before taxes and my husband recently replaced this scotch as we both enjoy it. Not sure about the wife in the video objecting to spending a lot on whisky! Many women enjoy and buy high quality scotch or other spirits and just for myself I have never told my husband what he can spend money on! Nice review! Nothing wrong with 43% IMO. Have a great weekend.
This is on my future list, but I’m pushing it down the list all the time because of the price and the ABV. I love the A´Bunadh and I feel this is a step up only in price. Am I right? Is it worth the extra money? I found the 12 so disappointing, but I picked ut the Casg Annamh on our last trip to Sweden and that was really good. Almost half the price of A´Bunadh at 48%.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety Then I will trust your pallet and keep it on the list. I promise not to hold you to it if I’m disappointed 😉 It cannot be bad I guess so… 😊
Dit is about dieselfde wat dit hier kos. As jy hou van n sherry whisky dan sal ek Se ja. Ek was nog nooit spyt nie. Vir my is dit n budget ding. As jy die geld het dan Koop hom. Kyk of jy hop n n whisky bar kan try.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety ek gaan hom probeer by Wild About Whisky in Dullstroom. Ek wil graag n lekker sherry bom hê want ek waardeer n sherry Whisky maar meeste van my whiskies in my versameling is peated.

@@MortAllachie I think it is much better than the A’bunadh. But that’s just my opinion. Agree the 12 is not fantastic but drinkable,
