I have the Carbon tipped, Atak setup, I installed on wife's ST 😎 without wife noticing, took her about a week to say the exhaust sounds a little louder, I told her it is just broken in now thus the sound.....LMFAO
410whp and 525 tq ain’t bad. I hooked my wife’s 22 up and it made 440whp 530tq. Cvf intercooler Cvf downpipes, thermal 3 in catback, jdm engineering tune.
Borla is the best in my opinion,I put a set on my 2014 Mustang V6.I tried them all but Borla sounded the best.No drone.I have a 2021 Explorer and I will be purchasing soon.
With regards to their conversation about the STs sound, I actually love the crisp sound of the ST with the Borla in that I would choose it over a lot of other vehicles. reminds me of something sporty along the lines of an NSX crossed with an Infniti, whatever that means.. haha Maybe I’m just getting old but I’m somewhat over the NA v8 with some loud deep Flowmaster, not for a daily driver at least. Great video, thanks!
That is one awesome Explorer ST. - Also, My uncle lives in Florence and has been friends with one of your guys for years. I can’t remember his name for the life of me though.
You won't see many of the benefits of an intercooler without a tune. If you're ragging on it repeatedly in the heat, you might see more consistent performance, however it won't experience any noticeable gains over stock power or torque wise.
@@jasonshort3047 not true! Just the air temp drop alone complements the stock tune. From the factory they are tuned for 93 octane. The only real aftermarket tune is for E50 all the others do very little as far as the power goes.
It seems like the corsa exhaust tips are more equal. Borlas exhaust tips are not straight. Any exhaust shop should be able to fix that but still annoying.
@@jim6807 Hi. Looking for for sound comparison? Corsa sounds deeper than the Borla. Plus you can hear the turbo sound in the Corsa. Your thoughts? Thank you
@@AlanLJones i thinks the borla sounds better but I’d consider going corsa just because of how crooked the exhaust tips are. That would drive me insane
Why not just do a muffler delete get rid of the main muffler and put in aftermarket resignatiors you have enough crap leftover to act as mufflers if you delete the main muffler, you still have your cats to muffle the sound and the resonators so slap two pieces of straight pipe in where that huge muffler was and u should pick up 10 or more HP
This was supposed to be an exhaust review.....24 minutes? I never heard you start it up, rev it, make any hard runs or downshifts. All I heard were lips flapping about random BS that has nothing to do with the sound, performance or looks of the Borla exhaust. Thanks for trying but y’all need to go back to the drawing board!
I can assure y’all, he’s right when he says that it sounds like a fart can stock. My mom drives an XLT and honestly when you give it gas it sounds like a fart can inside.

I might just do that.

How has it held up any issues? Looking at doing this
It’s held up fine, super reliable aside from the occasional camera issue.
I put the S type setup on my ST two days after I bought it. I got CF tips. Looks nice. I love it. Sounds nice. Very happy.
Very nice!
@@SVTPerformance How are your Borla CF tips holding up ? Looking good or ? I am leaning towards Borla CF. Thanx Happy Holidays..

Love the blow off valve. Sounds great.
I want silent choice exhaust . Shut it up during a long drive pulling trailer under load .. flip switch for fun

Is this Ford Performance exhaust + Borla that they sell at Ford website ?
Do you offer any tuners for a 2021 explorer St that don't require a computer download for 93 octane
What’s your opinion of 2.25 to 3 inch exhaust that some of the competitors use?
Excellent Review, Very professional
Do you offer brakes also? Rotora has big brake kits for the ST
Would like to get work done from you guys
Question.. how can i get my turbos to be as noticeable as these?
Is it okay to delete the resonators on explorer?
How installing the borla s type will affect the manufacture warranty ?
What kind of blow off valve is that? Sounds pretty good!
Only reason I kept listening to all that yap....
How much should an install at muffler shop be for this borla system labor only?
Mine is costing roughly 2100 for the Atak carbon fiber tipped and install
Can you run catted downpipe and borla exhaust without a tune? and does it trip any codes without a tune ?
You’d get cat inefficiency codes.
@@lazymarine4890 Ok so with a tune it will show no codes?
Install resistors in downstream o2 signal. Old trick.
@@TheStuffle69
Correct
Why did Borla use 2 1/4 , and everyone else is using 2 1/2 . Sound ?! Back pressure diff ?! Just curious ? Anyone know ?
I'm starting to think the reason people are saying Corsa is deeper is related to the bigger diameter pipe size.
@@ej1025 , for stock set up or mild Tune. , Borla ! Video doesn't do it Justice. It's 10 times better in person.
Can i put this on my mustang ecoboost?
Coz someone was selling it for $50 good condition
Sure. How are your metal fabrication skills?
Does the s type exhaust kit come with downpipes?
You all recommend the whipple intercooler even without a tune?

Is there any way to shut off the fake engine noise that is piped through the speakers?
Unfortunately no from what I know
Yes you can with Forscan.
Yeah. I used forscan on mine. Turned off the stupid fake noise coming thru the speakers.
What about down pipes
We have Explorer St but the sound it’s not like that how did he get turbo sound someone tell me ? 🤔
haha that would be an aftermarket blow off valve
boomba
Is that rattling the sound equipment?
Probably, but could be random DD stuff rolling around too.

5 Star Tuning. In Florence, SC?
That's the one.

For some reason the 2.7 and the 3.5 sound like crap, but the 3.0 sounds the best. I love a good V8, but the 3.0 sounds decent.
The turbos kill the raspy v6 sound and the thrust they give the engine changes the sound as well from a N/A V6
@ 19 seconds the cats seemed hot af! Ouch!
But turbos run off exhaust
Just wait for the Ford problems to show up and then the exhaust will not matter because it will be in the shop.
