I just noticed that the singer Issa covered "Can't Stop" on one of her CDs in the last few years.. and Aviator did record a second album apparently. Officially unreleased but I just found it. Sometimes you have to dig a bit. Also another Rock Candy artist, Tane Cain, released a second album in 1985 which sadly wasn't officially released. I'd say it's as good as the first one ..so I just listened to the Aviator second album. What blew me away is that the song Unchained was recorded (not sure if she was the first one to record it, but surely before Aviator) by Tane Cain on her unreleased second album..hows that for an insane coincidence
Yes, somewhere between Hair Metal (Dokken) and AOR (Foreigner). I don't like the term Hair Metal, because it doesn't do justice to some incredibly talented bands. Back then everyone had high hair. From Richard Marx and Rick Springfield to Metallica and Megadeth. I prefer the term Heavy Rock for bands like Ratt, Dokken, Van Halen, Europe, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Winger...
I was thinking more of a heavy power pop…considering most people associate power pop w/ Cheap Trick and more contemporarily w/ Fountains Of Wayne, this is more along the lines of Survivor and Asia. Gloriously’80s in the best sense of the word, though.
First of All Hair Metal is a fake term. Hard Rock is the correct genre of All Glam/Hair Metal Scene. And the Aviator takes part in subgenre AOR(Album Oriented Radio) like Giuffria, Atlantic, F.M.(From UK), Dare(From UK).

In my opinion this album is not even close to the masterpiece that is put on it. It's a good record. I agree. You can give it a couple of turns. But there is a lot of aor that eats it with potatoes. In addition, the voice register is very particular and the throat clearing (voice snoring) in my opinion does not look good in the verses here throughout the entire album. To have melodic touches, the album is completely synthetic guitar. The solos aren't bad but sometimes they are incoherent. The album improves a bit from come back. I've listened to a lot of music and you don't miss much. Groups like this remind me of lepard, they put hysteria and pyromania as musical jewels and it's a lie.
