So many beautiful cleaners. Hoovers, Electroluxes, and that amazing Airway Sanitary System. The first cleaner to use a disposable bag. That art-deco Lux is a 1937 Electrolux Model 30.
Stan is a brilliant musician, of course, and as her sidekick on the Charlotte Peters Show was a paragon of patience. She was charm itself on the air but in rehearsals could be a terror. As a kid I hung out at KSD-TV (in those days a 12-year-old could do that no questions asked) and would watch them in rehearsal, when she sometime was as warm as a slab of ice, and wonder how Stan remained so relaxed. Charlotte, of course, was an immense talent and charismatic lady. Stan was her adoring saint.
I Am in St . Louis , Loved Stan and I Have 5 or 6 Vacuums and a Nice Regina Floor and Tile Scrubber , I Have Two Sears Kenmore's and a Vintage circa early 50's Kirby Upright , I Just Love these things :) QC
Mr. Kann, you leave me in stitches, and you are a great theatre organist. I saw you in person some years ago. Funniest night I ever spent in a theatre, and I learned to love the theme song from "One Man's Family" thanks to you. Are you still getting your eyeglasses tangled in the microphone?
Stan was one of the first members of the Vacuum Cleaner Collector's Club, which was founded in January, 1983, and is still going strong today.
Because of Stan, I became a vacuum cleaner collector. I also had the pleasure of knowing him quite well, and count him as one of my closest friends.
Many wonderful memories of days gone by.
Rest in Peace.

Yes, Read this on the PipOrg-L list that we lost Stan today. God bless him and keep him.
The Air-Way vacuum was a century ahead of its time

I wonder what Stan would have thought about Dyson? What a character.
Very Cool
Sad he died 9 months after this video was uploaded, this was his final appearance on TV I believe.
What, they didn't show any Kirby's
Those old vacuum cleaners are built better and will outperform most modern vacuum cleaners.
