**NOTE:**
The bass was in Drop D tuning, but I didn't realize it until after I started playing. At 3:38, I tried to tune up the E string but didn't have enough time, so I ended up having to play the rest of the song on just the A and D strings. I would use Standard tuning (E A D G) for this song.
I start playing at 1:02
Why did I only see this video now??!!!! AMAZING!!
Haha - discover the old ones! 😂 Thanks for the support _as always!!_

Great playing mate, what key was this song in please?
Thanks bro! It's in Db major.
@@CornerstoneWorshipTutorials thank you
Is that a Titlpool Fender?
It's actually not! It's a Squier Affinity Jazz Bass 😂
You can find the link to it in the description (although it's discontinued).
Sir, when you are playing whole notes (full notes, IDK😅) the sound is remaining constant for so long time! What do you do to get that effect? It reminds me of bass synth, you know, when you play a note on that thing and it's staying constant! (Look from 1.2 - 1.10) How to get that on a normal bass ?
Yeah!! It's from compression! Imo, it's the most important effect for bass. The pickups don't matter so much, as you might know because Jazz Bass pickups are known to have the least sustain. Hope this helps! ☺️
@@CornerstoneWorshipTutorials May I ask what kind of compression do you use ? Thank you for previous answer 🙌🤝🏻
@@eli89674 I use the Headrush pedalboard, so I just use the S-Comp inside. If you want to get a separate pedal, I recommend the Behringer CS400.
@@CornerstoneWorshipTutorials I use HX Stomp for my live performances! God Bless you Bro, your tutorials helped me a lot !!!🙌
@@eli89674 That's awesome!! God bless you too!
Just in time I needed this bass cover.🙂 wonderfully done!
Request pls: Firm Foundation by Maverick City (unless you made one already and i just didnt see). Thank you!
Hi Ishael, thank you for this comment. @WorshipBassRoom did an awesome tutorial for Firm Foundation: ua-cam.com/video/jC2Jl7eYPv4/v-deo.html
Would you still like me to make a tutorial?
@@CornerstoneWorshipTutorials Thank you so much for your comment and the recommendation. :)
I have seen his cover and it is great. I think for me i like watching and hearing others play a song and listen to the bass lines (riffs and such). i like seeing how others can be creative too (even of the son has a certain easy bass line). I would still love to see your own cover/tutorial. :)
@@ishaeldeguzman Will do! 👍
@@ishaeldeguzmanThank you for your patience! Just recorded Firm Foundation. Sorry it took me a long time before I could borrow a 5-string bass from my church. Coming out soon! 👍
what settings or effects for this tone?
James 👋! It’s basically an Ampeg B-15N amp modeler combined with a Vox bass cab. Other than that i don’t have many effects except compression. I think the amp settings are 40% bass and 60% treble with the tone knob on my bass turned down all the way.
I’m using a Valeton GP-200 and actually have the patches I use available for free download on our website!
