    Enjoyed watching your Mom bling up her dresser. I was rooting for her to keep going and guild the insets of the drawers too! Beautiful job Mom!

      Thank you. She did awesome! And what I didn't show you is that there are two nightstands she did, too. Send me pics of your bookcase if you do it. I'd love to see.

    I’m a blingy person so I would of even waxed on the indentations on the drawers and on the edges . Great job to your mom !!! She’ll be addicted now for sure !!

      She wanted to for sure. 😂 I took it away from her or she would have covered her whole house. Just kidding. She might add more after she lives with it for a couple of weeks. We didn't want to over do it.

    I like your channel and have subscribed. I'm super excited to discover gilding wax - especially for using on hardware. Question: I'm discovering that some surfaces are to slick and the product doesn't want to adhere well - any thoughts - should I lightly sand first? I've discovered this issue on certain metal objects, but I'm thinking anything top-coated with poly or whatever would have the same problem? Strategy?

    Looks nice, I would have put some in the grooves on the draws for a more enhanced bling appearance. I’m a bling person as well and thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed watching the process.

    Kasha does this all the time on her videos and I just love it. She puts more on it than you do to start. I love more! You can wipe it off later if you think it's too much! 😀

    I really like the subtle gold effect on this beautiful shade of grey. Was this piece stripped before the chalk paint was applied? it looks perfect! TFS your talents

      Nope. Painted right on top of the existing finish.

    Is gilding wax durable? Just starting out. Handles get touches often and was wondering how it holds up.

    I love this video! I love that you shared the joy with your Mother! I miss my Mom so so so much!
    Is there a way that I can submit photos to you to get your opinion on how to use gilding wax and/or how to finish some wood trim on a piece of furniture that I am chalk painting?

    Would you use gilding wax on metal that’s rusted? I have an MCM two tier side table with metal feet that and they are a bit rusty. I am wondering if gilding wax alone would work or if I would need to do more prep. Thanks!

    What is name of what your mom used to cover the cherry so it doesn't bleed?

    What happened to the top that your mom didn't like and what did she do differently, after she removed it, that made her pleased with the results?

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  4 роки тому

      She used a paint roller and liked those results better. She also shellacked the tip before she painted because she had some bleed through.

      They are carved wooden. That is why she painted them.

      Christina Muscari I understand the beauty of the gilding and you did a beautiful job without getting any on the dresser itself. My question was that I wondered if the handles could’ve been removed before applying the gilding. I didn’t mean it as criticism. Just a question if the handles were a part of the front or separate.
